super energy bars 12/01/2006 at 06:40pm User: Jon from Oakland, CA User Rating: quite good & everybody loves them. get for hikes 07/09/2007 at 06:01pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These are easy to make and great for hikes. Easy! 06/01/2006 at 09:21am User: a.d. from Tryon, NC User Rating: I bake everyday. I found these bars so easy due to the food processing. Yes it is a lot of ingredients, but I use a bag of Mariana's mixed dried fruit it works just as well. I also switched the molasses for maple syrup no difference. Next switch, oat bran, millet flour, barley flour in addition to w/w flour and reduce a/p flour. The dough is sticky enough to hold together anyway. If you are finding it too cakey, reduce the mix time, you're putting too much air into the eggs. I love em 05/31/2005 at 08:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: these taste great and are very filling. Michael's energy Bars 05/23/2005 at 05:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Very good better thab store bought Stick with a Clif Bar 05/19/2005 at 10:40pm User: MARK from Los Angeles, CA User Rating: The bars tasted ok, but that's it. Just ok. They are very crumby too. I would have liked a more chewy consistency to it, but it was more like cake. Energized Goodness 03/04/2005 at 03:20am User: MARK from Wheaton, IL User Rating: These energy bars are delicious. I am a bit of a health nut, so I found this recipe to be appealing because it uses little salt, butter, and sugar; additionally, it uses healthy items such as fruit, wheat germ, oats, and milk. The bars tasted quite good--the molasses was a nice touch. They were a bit crumbly, but on the whole this recipe is a winner! cake like 02/04/2008 at 02:56pm User: DeAnn from eglin afb, FL User Rating: they weren't what I was expecting texture wise, but they taste great. They're sweet enough to make you think that you're having a treat, but actualy good for you! Very Yummy 02/01/2006 at 06:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Lots of ingredients but worth it! I love them - not too sweet - and excellent for you! And you can freeze them so you can make a large batch for later. Worth the effort! worth the mess 01/16/2008 at 03:20pm User: melanie from Dallas, TX User Rating: these are a little messy to make, but very much worth the effort. I have not found another recipe better than this for a breakfast bar or workout bar. They taste much better than the store bought bars. |
