It does not last long at my house - usually less than 30 minutes & people are practically licking the bowl! I like the tomato & the kick from the jalapeno pepper. Kicked it up 05/04/2007 at 01:45am User: Robb from Glendale, AZ User Rating: There are a couple of things you can do to really bring out the flavor of this dip. Instead of lemon juice, use a lime, add cillontro, and some garlic salt. This give it that authentic mexican flavor. I used this recipe, put it in a contest and won. Not only did it win, it was devoured very quickly. Yummy and easy! 04/27/2007 at 12:49pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is a delicious and easy guacomole recipe! IT WAS DEVOURED!!! wow 03/21/2007 at 10:20pm User: tara from Eufaula, AL User Rating: This is the best ever. Very garlicky, but even a friend of mine who doesn't like to try new things loved it. It was a Superbowl smash!!! You have to make this! 02/18/2007 at 08:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I never had guacamole before but because i had an avocado I decided to try it. I will never try any other recipe because I don't believe anyone can top this! I didn't have a jalapeno pepper and forgot the tomato. Can't wait to make this with all the ingredients. not the best 02/18/2007 at 05:15pm User: samantha from portland, OR User Rating: this needed abit more of something.not sure what Really yummy! 02/17/2007 at 07:40pm User: Anna from Atlanta, GA User Rating: Super easy to make, but be sure that your avocadoes are ripe. Ours were not ripe, and we had to use a food processor to chunk them up. Other than that, the guac was great - everyone loved the garlic! Not Your Regular Guac 02/13/2007 at 05:46pm User: Harmony from Denver, CO User Rating: This is a fresh twist on an old standby. When I brought it to a gathering, the ladies suggested that it had a more distinct, fresh flavor than other guacs. Good stuff 01/20/2007 at 05:29pm User: thomas from greenfield, MA User Rating: I've made this a couple of time's and it is so easy to make and taste's great. At first I used a food chopper to blend all the ingredients, now I just mix it with a fork, it is much chunkier that way and just as tasty. One less item to wash as well. Easy and Good 01/15/2007 at 03:45pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe was very user friendly. I would suggest adding lime juice rather than lemon...and maybe a hint of cilantro. I guess it depends on what you like. Now that's Great Guac!! 01/12/2007 at 02:13pm User: Lauri from McHenry, IL User Rating: Absolutely love this guacamole and everyone that has tried it loves it too!! I like to put my own twist on it by using lime instead of lemon, a red onion instead of yellow, and I use a salsa from the deli instead of chopping up a tomato to finish it off. Delicious!!! Holy Guacamole is right!!! 01/10/2007 at 07:46pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I used red onion, quadrupled the garlic and subbed lime juice for the lemon. Now THAT is guacamole! Oh yeah! Perfect 11/08/2006 at 12:18pm User: elita from Jamahill, FL User Rating: Super easy, fast and delicious! I won't make guacamole any other way. Only thing I changed was adding a bit of fresh cilantro, which I grow in my herb garden. I used Rachael's trick of grinding the garlic into the salt with a knife before adding to the bowl, which she did on the episode but isn't mentioned in the recipe. a hit! 08/30/2006 at 06:52pm User: Kim from Homewood, IL User Rating: I took this to a summer bbq and EVERYONE raved! The garlic kick really made it, but I did use limes instead of lemons. Be careful with those jalepeno peppers, the juices stay on your fingers for a long time. Awesome 08/29/2006 at 07:45pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I have been making this recipe since the first time i saw the show about 2 years ago. I love it! Even people who claim to not like guacamole love it. I use lime instead of lemon, red onion instead of yellow and make the garlic into a paste like Rachael does on the show. I also omit the tomatoes and add a little cilantro. YUM-O AWESOME! 08/07/2006 at 08:12pm User: C from Westland, MI User Rating: I have been looking for a good recipe for guacamole. I had to resort to 2 avacados and guacamole mix. Then I seen this recipe and tried it and it is AWESOME! It is a perfect mix of fresh fruits and veggies and it leaves your mouth with a zing. guac-good 07/31/2006 at 01:58pm User: andrea from Piqua, OH User Rating: I'm not a big avocado fan, but I liked this guacomole. Sorry Not so Garlicky.. 02/17/2006 at 12:38pm User: Jennifer from Bellevue, WA User Rating: I guess I thought if it was Garlicky Guacamole I figured it would have a lot of garlic flavor...but it didn't. When I make this again, I'll add another clove. Not enough to overpower the avocado, but enough to taste it. Unbelievable 02/16/2006 at 10:13pm User: Christine from Crestwood, KY User Rating: This is absolutely the BEST guacamole I've ever had....and it is so easy to make. The garlic gives it just the right amount of kick! Thank you Rachel! Holy Lemony Guacamole! 01/31/2006 at 11:18am User: Scott from Pine Beach, NJ User Rating: Great recipe! Just ease-up on the lemon. YUMMO 01/29/2006 at 01:53pm User: April from Yankeetown, FL User Rating: I had never made guacamole and I new Racheal Ray could help. I love garlic so I thought why not try it! I increased the garlic a bit and already had some red onion cut up so I threw that in - and WOW DELICIOUS! Even my boyfriend who turns his nose up at anything new ate half the bowl! Thanks and definetly give it a try...YUMMO! Very good 01/27/2006 at 02:42pm User: MARY from Boston, MA User Rating: Quick and easy and tastes very good for such a quick process. Great Guacamole! 01/25/2006 at 02:48pm User: Sheila from Vineland, NJ User Rating: The garlic in the guacamole makes this dish stand out. Perfect for a Mexican themed party. Guacamole 01/23/2006 at 10:42pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I thought is was okay but too much on the onions the first time I made it so the 2nd time I cut the onion back and it is great! Just tweak it to your taste. Onion Guac Dip 01/23/2006 at 12:22pm User: Alissa from Omaha, NE User Rating: I followed the recipe but found out that 1/2 an onion is a lot. If you like guac dip with a lot of onion, this is the correct measurements. I think that next time I am putting in less onion and one more avacodo just to make it a little more guacy. Other than that it was great. Sooo good 01/22/2006 at 11:59am User: JILL from Upper Darby, PA User Rating: I don't like tomatoes in my Quacamole, so I omit them. I also add more garlic than they said and more avocadoes (as I was feeding more people). This is how my husband and I always make Quacamole! Our friends always come over b/c of our quacamole. Enjoy! Good Guac 01/01/2006 at 02:09am User: Danny from Manassas, VA User Rating: A very good recipe. Nice and chunky, but a little too lemony for my taste. Next time I'm going to try half a lemon. It was a great change from my usual recipe! A Best Seller! 09/02/2004 at 02:27pm User: ADRIENNE from Wheaton, IL User Rating: This dip is the first to disappear off the party buffet. It's the zing of the garlic, the crunch of that little bit of red onion, and the bite from the jalapeno that keeps them dippin'. I've lost track of the number of times I've made this. I use the juice of half of a lemon and really squeeze out the tomato seeds/juice to keep this from thinning. Did I say that I've started to double the recipe?...it goes just that fast! Thanks Rachael. gooood!!!! 08/24/2004 at 10:49pm User: LORENZO from EDINBURG, TX User Rating: family and I enjoyed it!
