This really is a great sauce. Living in Austin, we have great jarred salsa verde, so I sometimes use that when I am feeling lazy. I took off one star for the nacho part-I can never quite get that to come out right without turning to mush. This sauce is great with pasta-that's the main way I use it.

I absolutely loved the tomatillo cheese sauce that this recipe makes. Next time, I will half the recipe because it made so much sauce and chicken. I only made one layer of nachos @ a time in the oven. I will make this again, and again.

I think the cheese sauce tastes more like some kind of mexican cheese soup than cheese sauce for nachos. (It DOES have a chicken broth based sauce.)It's not that it's not good, because it is. But five stars? No

WONDERFUL FLAVORS- I HAVE MADE IT ONCE USING HOME MADE GREEN CHILI CHEESE SAUCE AND ONCE ADDING STORE BOUGHT HOT SALSA VERDE TO THE CHEESE SAUCE. BOTH WERE REALLY GREAT. I DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM AT ALL WITH THE NACHOS GETTING TOO MUSHY. THIS IS A MUST MAKE RECIPE!

I have been looking for a good chicken based chili sauce recipe for some time. This one is very good. I added a large pasilla to it for more flavor. I didnt even try it the way he suggested though as I like my Nachos crisp! This sauce is great on top of enchiladas or even scrambled eggs. Thanks Tyler.

The flavor of the cheese sauce is wonderful. However, I agree with some of the other comments. It turns to mush if you layer it, so I won't layer it next time.

Excited making it but not as much while eating it. The chips turned to mush so the layering idea wasn't a great idea. Other than that...the flavor of it all ROCKS! I would make this again and not layer/bake it.

I couldn't wait to try this and make the salasas, the sauce, and tried to be a little better and used baked tortilla chips instead of regular. Just so you know for when you make it... they couldn't hold up to the heat in the oven while covered in cheese sauce and it came out like a soggy mess...even after 5 min. Still tasted good, just had to use a fork!

There were definitly some good things about the recipe but it definitly was not perfect. I did love the flavor of the cheese sauce. Great idea to add salsa verde to it. The cheese sauce did seperate a little though..eventhough i used low temperatures. Using cream/milk should solve this problem Instead of boiling the veggies i grilled them which gave a nice grill taste which i enjoyed. Another negative would be after you put the nachos in the oven; they turn to mush. I had to get extra chips to scoop up the gunk that it turned into and yes i was light on the cheese sauce just for this reason but it still happened. This would be a 5 star recipe if you fixed those two major problems. I used bbq chicken also which was great. I look at a lot of reviews on here and i can't see how people can give some of them 5 stars.

I made the Green Chili Cheese Sauce to accent my turkey-bean and rice burritos. I added it inside and on top of them. Instead of jack I used a mix cheese of cheddar, jack and asiago. And, instead of chicken broth I used a vegi broth. It was delicious and will definitely make it again and again.

I only made the tomatillo salsa of this recipe because I was making Chili Verde and wanted a tomatillo salsa to use at the main ingredient with the pork. It was fabulous. I have been trying to make this recipe for years and could never get it quite right. My husband said you finally nailed it. Never get rid of this recipe. Thanks Tyler!

I'm a food snob when it comes to good Mexican food - especially when I hear recipes from folks who appear to have been raised on the other side of the country - LIGHTyears away from Mexico. After trying this recipe (particularly enjoyed the Tomatillo Salsa Verde!), and having it be a hit, I used the cheese/tomatillo sauce just mentioned to accompany the chicken/chorizo burrito filling and black bean filling from Rachael Ray's "Build Your Own Burrito Bar" party episode, and added Emeril's Mexican Rice. WOW! What a hit. Thanks to all of you for making this dinner party/meeting a BIG success! As Rachel would say..."YUMM-O!"

I made these for a Super Bowl party and they were a hit! The roasted chicken really adds great flavor. I did end up cooking them longer than the recipe states, by about 20 minutes.

These are the best nachos, the recipe is so simple; it is fool proof. I wasn't able to use all of the chille cheese sauce because my platter was too small, so make sure that you have a very large platter. But if your only cooking for a few just freeze the remaining sauce and making the nachos in the future will be even easier!!

I made these today for our Super Bowl party and they are fantastic. I must admit I didn't make my own salsa verde, I bought it! I just didn't have the time today so I'm sure it's even better with homemade but my jar's ingredients listed everything that was in the recipe. :) I highly recommend these nachos. The cheese sauce alone would make a great dip.

Nacho recipes should serve the multitudes. This one did. It has a great blend of flavors, color and texture. I didn't use all of the salsa verde in the cheese sauce but reserved for a side "dip". This was a great alternative to the heavy beef nachos. Easy and elegant.

These nachos were awesome! If you're looking for a good chicken nacho recipe, here it is. Thanks Tyler! But beware, it does make a LOT of cheese sauce, so if you aren't feeding an army you might want to cut it in half, or freeze half of the batch like I did. Makes great leftovers.

I think, for me--I wouldn't put so many the jalepenos but I love chicken and I love nachos&cheese and the combination of both--is a great love affair. Instead of jalepenos, try putting finely shredded lettuce and finely chopped tomatoes and a dallops of sour cream (of course after you take it out of the oven). I thank you cause I would go to Florida to a place called Brandon Ale House(in Brandon,Fl)just to eat chicken nachos, now I can make them myself.Thank you, Lucy Nazario, Bronx, NY

I prepared this dish several times and it is sooo good that I have to make it at least 4 times a month for the family they just love it, and they are little kids too. 1yr old through 12 yrs old. The family asks for it all the time! It's the BEST thing since sliced bread! ENJOY.
