yummm 07/02/2008 at 12:54pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Perfect recipe to cool off from summer fun! Refreshing 06/11/2008 at 12:44am User: Janet from St. George, UT User Rating: My family enjoyed this smoothie. Using frozen fruit is a plus since it is not dependent on seasonal berry prices and can be made anytime of the year. I used vanilla flavored yogurt which required just a touch of honey. One suggestion, make sure you peel the banana before you freeze it - duh! great! 06/05/2008 at 02:33pm User: Jessica from Geneva, IL User Rating: My two toddlers and I made this for an afternoon snack/treat and loved it. It is simple and healthy. I used frozen cherries and bananas and followed the recipe to a T. Great 01/21/2008 at 07:00pm User: caitlin from New York, NY User Rating: Great Smoothie, better without the OJ. yummy smoothies 07/11/2007 at 12:08pm User: katelyn from ardmore, OK User Rating: this smoothie is good somthing to tweek 04/27/2007 at 03:55am User: Briana from fresno, CA User Rating: can use as a bacsic recipe for making any kind of smoothie I want. My need to alter the recipe Good and healthy! 04/13/2007 at 10:53pm User: CINDY from White Bear Lake, MN User Rating: I would give it 5 star if the frozen banana was easy to peel and slice. How could you peel and slice a frozen banana? It was hard like an ice cube. Next time I will try to make it with a fresh banana or peel and slice it before I freeze it. Looks Great! 04/12/2007 at 02:54pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I'm a dancer, and need a pick me up before class. Something filling, but not too much. This is great. I use 1% milk and non-fat vanilla yogurt, but you would never know it from the taste. I normally use frozen cherries or strawberries with peaches and have used fresh or frozen bananas with the same results. The fresh squeezed OJ makes a difference as does the honey. Yummy! I did 1/2 a cup of plain yogart, 2 splashes of milk, and 1/2 cup of half calorie orange juice. I didn't add any sugar. This all took less than a min to blend. It was VERY yummy. If you like strawberry shakes, you'll love this! I used 1 3/4 strawberries and 1/4 cup raspberries. I also used only 2 tablespoons of honey. There is just enough banana taste to it that it is not over powering but you can tell that it's in there. As for the serving size, I think this is a true serving for 2 people. I also think that this would make a wonderful light brakfast or lunch meal. use as a guideline for smoothies 09/06/2004 at 09:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I just use this as a basic recipe. It's great with or without the yogurt. And I usually use a mix of strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries (no banana). Different fruits, same recipe 09/03/2004 at 05:18pm User: VINCENT from temecula, CA User Rating: I changed the recipe a little. I used green grapes, honey dew melon, peaches, apple juice, lime juice, ice and mint leaves that I washed and tore in pieces. Didn't use any milk or ice cream. I was very happy and it tasted kinda mello with some tang. |
