Simple and delicious! 06/19/2008 at 04:17pm User: Valerie from Sugar Land, TX User Rating: I did this with nectarines and couldn't find Amaretti cookies so used honey graham crackers instead. An excellent, easy, delicious and elegant dessert served with a little vanilla ice cream. Looking forward to experimenting with other stone fruits and cookies! Thanks Giada, you're a star! TRY SNICKERDOODLES!! 08/24/2007 at 05:12pm User: Maggie from Los Angeles, CA User Rating: I could not find Amaretti cookies, so I thought snickerdoodles would be good... WOW this recipe was amazing. My boyriend actually said I need to make this every night. Place it on a scoop of soft vanilla ice cream... YUMM!!! Simple and tasty 08/18/2007 at 03:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I love this dessert, and will definitely try it with pears in the fall. The first time I made it I used amaretti cookies from an Italian market, but in a pinch this time I'm using vanilla wafers spiked with some almond extract (add a little at a time and taste, a little goes a long way), with some whole almonds and 1-2 tbsp butter added to the mixture and all pulsed together in my mini-food processor. It's so easy and quick. I prefer the amaretti cookies but I think this will work out just fine. Simple 08/14/2007 at 06:16pm User: BEV from pataskala, OH User Rating: This is so simple and so good. I didn't have Amaretti Cookies. So I used this cracker that ls like a graham cracker and it tuned out fabulous . Will make it again I've been making this for YEARS... 08/11/2007 at 10:04pm User: stacy from Miami, FL User Rating: This was a hit when I first saw it on Everyday Italian years ago it feels. They are so easy and just the right amount of sweetness. I used graham crackers instead of amaretti cookies since I didnt have any on hand. Make sure you use very solid peaches b/c they can be a little challenging to work with if they are too ripe. They taste like little individual peach cobblers! YUM!! pepperidge farm bordeaux 07/01/2006 at 10:50pm User: LUCILLE from Tampa, FL User Rating: I used the pepperidge farm Bordeaux cookies because i couldn't find the A cookies and it was sweet and crunchy and creamy and light. Serve it after a heavy meal. But xtra peaches for those that are to firm to twist open or too ripe and crush. Out of 10 peaches I had 4 that worked and it was peach season. but it was well worth it! f5gchgmjyjtyufryjtyjy 06/12/2006 at 09:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: frgfhhjvgjfyntyvgyjfthtgeggyjfjbyhnvgjhnfnfn So easy, so tasty with anything 06/03/2006 at 09:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is such an easy dessert and is so good. Onolicious! 06/01/2005 at 07:22pm User: Leanne from Kaneohe, HI User Rating: Sweet and refreshing! I also various fruits but peaches were the best. Try Pears! 04/15/2005 at 06:20pm User: LINDA from San Antonio, TX User Rating: I made this recipe with pears and it was so delicious. The pears come out soo sweet. The harder, ripened pear is best. A ripened, soft pear goes limp after being cooked in the oven. I found the harder pear kept its shape. Both tasted scrumptous! I used Spenda too as per some of the suggestions and found it to be just as delicious! The peaches right now are from Chile and are horrible. I highly recommend you try this recipe with pears! fast, easy, and taste so good... 04/15/2005 at 03:55pm User: james from decatur, AL User Rating: I made this recipe with apples, and it taste like my apple pie. a recipe that I have used for many years, now I think I will toss away my old recipe and just make these by the number of people I will be serving. thank you James, decatur Al. not bad 04/12/2005 at 09:26am User: TAMMY from Springfield, MO User Rating: This is a good way to get adults to eat their peaches. I used nectarines instead of peaches and ginger snaps instead of amaretti cookies. Served with low fat vanilla ice cream....TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will definatly make this again. Very Good but I could just Eat the Cookies! 03/17/2005 at 12:30pm User: Anonymous User Rating: If you are lucky enough to find the cookies, just eat them. They are awesome. Still, the fruit cooked with them is great too. very delicious & easy 03/13/2005 at 04:51pm User: MARIA from altoona, PA User Rating: This recipe was very simple and so delicious! It was GREAT on Sunday, and even better on Tuesday...I made this recipe exactly as it reads, then in another pan, I used Splenda instead of sugar, and I drizzled amaretto over the top of the peaches before I put the butter on them. Both pans were gone! yummmy 02/26/2005 at 01:26pm User: Anonymous User Rating: amazing So good 01/02/2005 at 04:31pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Imade this with pears for thanksgiving. They were gone in a flash. You have to try it. So easy and tasty 10/15/2004 at 04:35pm User: JOANNE from Shirley, NY User Rating: A quick, yet surprisingly special dessert b/c of a "comfort food" quality it offers as it's served warm from the oven and the natural flavors are more pronounced...with whipped cream or a dollop of ice cream, I am anxious to try it soon w/ my guests. top notch 10/09/2004 at 08:18pm User: Anonymous User Rating: this is so easy and delicous, it was light and not to sweet, its great for a light desert or even for breakfast. |
