My picky nieces and nephew absolutely love these potatoes and gobble them up. I've even taken them to office potlucks and everyone raves about how good they taste. I like the recipe! Easy and delicious! 11/30/2005 at 11:30pm User: Anonymous User Rating: And the Montreal grill seasoning gave the dish a great flavor. I will never pan fry potatoes again 10/13/2006 at 07:37pm User: Sheila from Philadelphia, PA User Rating: Montreal steak seasoning I use alot, but never in potatoes. I love the flavor it gave to the potaotes. I never told my boyfriend about that seasoning. He loved the potatoes. Quick & easy. Yummo!! 10/12/2006 at 01:44pm User: Lesley from Deer Creek, IL User Rating: I made these last night and got rave reviews from my family! I doubled the recipe (cuz I'm feeding a small army) and had plenty leftover for my lunch today. The only addition I made was I added some sea salt for extra flavor. Very easy to make!! Delicious 10/11/2006 at 10:16am User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy, few ingrediants, and absolutely delicious. I used white potatoes since I had those on hand. Definately a keeper. quick & easy 10/08/2006 at 11:56am User: Julie from hutchinson, KS User Rating: My family loved it. Left it in to our families favorite 'doneness'. we'll be eating this recipe many times over Delicious! 10/07/2006 at 01:33pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These were just the way I like my hash browns. Highly seasoned and crispy. The one mistake I made, was cutting the onions too small (smaller than the potatoes), so the onions burned the first time I made the dish. The next time, I cut the onions into larger chunks, and added a few whole garlic cloves. Perfect! Next time, I may try adding some cheese over the top at the last minute, for a really decadent hash brown! Nice side dish 10/06/2004 at 09:54pm User: MARGARITA from Miami, FL User Rating: Easy and tasty! Fabo is even better than YUM-MO! So insanely easy, and incredibly good. I didn't have the steak seasoning, so I did a combo of mesquite and chicken from the same brand, and they came out amazing. I would have never thought to use the grill seasoning... but that's why they pay you the big bucks. Ingenious!!!! Great Quick Dish/Goes Well With Barbeque 07/06/2007 at 10:09am User: Dave from East Haddam, CT User Rating: Rachel, Just had this dish last night and it really goes well with barbequed chorizo. If anyone likes homefries without the hassel this dish is for you. Sincerely, Oh mi gosh! 06/29/2007 at 03:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: SOOOOO tasty and so satisfying.... I loaded them with tons of grill seasoning it was so delicious! Tender onions and peppers, crunchy homemade fries, a whole lot less guilt than the fast foo fries I'm always craving.... what's not to like? Sometimes I make these in the morning, sometimes late night- really anytime im craving something satisfying and hearty. And OH MY GOSH IS IT EASY!!!! I put an Idaho potato in the microwave for like 2 1/2 minutes, than when it comes out cut it up and do the rest of the recipe. If you do it like this- I mean baking the potato in the microwave first- It only takes like 10 minutes. Oh, it's really easy to make for only one or two people because measurements are pretty much useless in this dish.... just add as much or as little of anything as you like. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!!! good stuff 06/03/2005 at 03:21pm User: Sandra from Boston, MA User Rating: These were a hit at mother's day brunch. Simple and delicious- I will always use the oven instead of frying breakfast potatoes from now on! This one was a hit. 05/23/2005 at 10:38pm User: Andy from Laveen, AZ User Rating: For a Mother's Day brunch I wanted something with a bit more interest than the old stand by - hash browns. As always, Rachael Ray came through. This side was liked so well by the whole family that my dad called to ask for the recipe just two nights later to go with dinner. A hit 05/21/2006 at 04:14pm User: Laura from Easthampton, MA User Rating: Nice recipe, well received, very tasty! I like that it doesn't require parboiling the potatoes, so one less extra step. The McCormick seasoning gives it just a little "kick". I used a red pepper as well as a green pepper for some extra color. I will make this again! Great Potatoes 03/31/2007 at 09:49pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These are great and fast. Best to make when not hot outside. Yumm-o 03/28/2007 at 01:17pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Great recipe especially the cook in oven part... my stove top was full so I needed an oven recipe and this was flavorfull and easy Best Tators 03/21/2007 at 08:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Have made this multiple times and it is always good. Even have other family members making it now! Simple and easy 03/20/2007 at 09:17pm User: Cindy from Jacksonville, FL User Rating: Give it 4 stars because it's simple and easy to make. Flavor is not a lot or strong, but on the other hand you can taste the freshness of potatoes. I will definitely make it again! great hearty breakfast 02/26/2007 at 01:16am User: Anonymous User Rating: cant go wrong with potatoes, peppers, and onions How good are these home fries? 02/21/2005 at 03:23pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I know it seems so simple, but these oven home fries are so excellent they make an appearance with almost every meal I cook for family and friends. Easy, tastey, virsatile. "Yum". Good 02/07/2006 at 10:19pm User: ED from Montgomery, AL User Rating: These are great and easy, along with easy cleanup! Very nice side dish 02/03/2007 at 04:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was a great tasting and easy side dish. I'll be making this a lot! Fabulous fries! 02/02/2007 at 04:36pm User: Gina from Farmington, NM User Rating: These are the best oven fries I've had. I added garlic salt & used 2 red bell peppers instead of one green bell (I like the sweeter flavor). The next time I make the fries I will cut the onion & pepper in larger chunks since they shrink so much while baking. The dark non-stick baking pan ensures that the potatoes brown-up nicely. I'm going to use the leftovers to make a layered breakfast casserole with scrambled eggs, green chile, sausage & cheese, substituting the oven fries for the frozen hash browns used in the recipe. I know it will be scrumptious. Bon appetit! Tasty & Simple 01/28/2006 at 12:43am User: Anonymous User Rating: I made these for a big bridal shower brunch that the bridal party decided to "self-cater". They were a huge hit! Rachael's Potatoes,Onions,G Peppers 01/25/2007 at 05:19pm User: Donna from Panama City, FL User Rating: Super easy recipe and will be even easier to make - thanks awesome 01/14/2007 at 08:33pm User: Lisa from spirit lake, ID User Rating: great receipe i removed the green peppers since my family doesn't like them after i cooked them and it came out great Great recipe! 01/06/2007 at 11:15am User: Uneeta from Dallas, TX User Rating: This was a quick and easy alternative for making potatoes. My fiance' literally grew up on potatoes and feels that he MUST have potatoes with every meal (typical meat & potatoes man). Rach's recipe was a nice switcharoo. **I personally feel that nothing should be cooked at 500 degrees- and these potatoes certainly will NOT take 25 minutes. I cooked them at 400 for about 10-15 min. Cook extra your man will love them! wonderful! 01/05/2006 at 05:12pm User: Natalie from Michigan City, IN User Rating: i cooked these one time when my boyfriend came over. My mother and him loved them! My mom wants them everytime we have chicken |
