Very decadent 11/14/2005 at 10:20pm User: Nicole from Asheville, NC User Rating: This pot pie is very rich and heavy. The potato topping made the recipe a little more complicated than it could be. I have made it with buttermilk biscuit topping with good results. Potato topped chicken pie 07/29/2006 at 11:17am User: Margaret from Sabattus, ME User Rating: Nice change from chicken pot pie with a crust. just right for the family 07/03/2004 at 08:25pm User: TERRY from Barnegat, NJ User Rating: Very tasty but says to preheat oven to 375 degrees but does not tell you when, what or for how long to bake it in the oven. I put it in the oven after all ingredients were mixed for 20 mins, and before I fried the shoestring potatoes, adding the potatoes to the top just before serving Comfort 04/18/2007 at 12:59pm User: Nancy from Sara, FL User Rating: This was pleasure to make, and is great as a comfort type meal. It would make a wonderful Chicken Pot Pie with a crust instead of the potatoes. Awesome 04/10/2007 at 09:37pm User: Amanda from Bedford, TX User Rating: I've made this recipe a few times but changed it up the last time. Instead of shredding the potato and deep frying them I mashed them. It turned out to be really good and the leftovers were great. big hit 04/04/2006 at 04:52pm User: Darren from Ramsey, NJ User Rating: no one could get enough I'd like to try this but... 03/30/2007 at 10:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe is incomplete. I found the ingredients for Essence in another of Emeril's recipes, but we are not told how long to bake the casserole in the preheated oven. I imagine 20-30 minutes would do it, but it would be nice to know what Emeril intended. Essence Recipe? Pre-Heat the Oven? 03/24/2007 at 02:57pm User: Norma from Medford, NY User Rating: Looked this recipe over and realized that the recipe for Essence has been left out. Also, why pre-heat the oven if the chicken is 1) already cooked to begin with and 2) heated through on the stovetop? Had to rate the recipe for my comment to go in; haven't made this. |
