Best Southern Chili Hot Dog!

Being from the south, I have eaten my fill of hot dogs, always with chili, and this recipe is the best yet! I wouldn't expect anything less from a boy from Greenville, SC. A little less olive oil, a little more chili powder and you can keep the cheddar. Now, you have one heck of a hot dog! I would award more stars if it was possible. Thank you Tyler!

super!

We had our four young nieces over as well as three adults. This recipe was fantastic. I used the chili as sloppy joes for the kids, anf the chili for hot dogs for the adults. Worked out great. I found I used more chili powder than the recipe called for

My husband loves this recipe. It is easy quick and I think it is even better as sloppy joes. It's quick easy and uses ingredients that are usually on hand, Thanks Tyler.

My husband loved this recipe. My 3 yr old and I liked it better without the hot dog, but either way it was very good. Tylers enthusism made me want to try this recipe. I don't normally like chilli dogs but this one is a keeper. Next time I will try using less oil to cut fat a litlle bit. I don't think it will be missed. I used ground venison because that is what I have access to. It is a much leaner meat but still good.

Hi Tyler, I made this chili Wednesday night to go with hot dogs, it was much too sweet. I tried several things to fix it but to no avail. I ended up throwing it away when dinner was over. Candy

I made this chili last summer when it first aired and it was great!, my sister tried it and wanted some for her camping trip. I made it again this season and my sister wanted some again to take camping for the tortilla scoops and hot dogs. I do have to say that it was alittle too sweet for us so I added some hot sauce and alittle more chili powder than was called for in the recipe.

Sloppy Joe

Very good but like others have said, it makes a better Sloppy Joe substitute than hot dog chili.

It was okay

It was good, but not what I was looking for in a chili. We had sloppy joes with this instead of chili dogs.

Very good

When I tasted the chili by itself, I wasn't impressed. But, when it was added to the hot dog...heaven! Next time I'll be sure to use fatter hot dogs. Delicious!!
