Impressive! 06/27/2008 at 09:14am User: Sadie from Fayetteville, NC User Rating: I entertained with this dish along with the lemon spaghetti and everyone loved it. It tastes like something you would pay $15 for at a restaurant. Fantastic dish!!!! 06/26/2008 at 06:57pm User: wanda from covington, GA User Rating: I served his as an appetizer for a dinner party I did a week ago along with the lemon spaghetti and it was fabulous!! I will for sure use this recipe again! Shrimp Fra Diavolo and a ring... 06/18/2008 at 10:49am User: Adam from Louisville, KY User Rating: I don't have a glamorous job. I work long hours and lots of them ensuring a massive data center has no failures. As a result I didn't have time to prep for a night on the town with my then "just a date" Kat. I decided instead to prepare this wonderful dish. Once you've made this you'll love the sweet shrimp and spicy sauce - And she did too. I credit this dish for causing lively conversation about food, family, and friends that night and as of next week (1 year and 7 months later) I'll be asking her to marry me! Guess what I'm making for dinner tonight just to butter her up? ;) Amazing 06/12/2008 at 12:13am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was awesome and so easy to make. Tasted like something from a restaurant. I made it with the lemon spaghetti (from the episode) and caprese salad...it was a huge hit with my italian boyfriend who had seconds. I will definitely be making this again. Rick in West by God Virginia 06/10/2008 at 07:05pm User: Leslie from Elkins, WV User Rating: A very good dish served with the lemon spaghetti, I think next time I'll try as a chicken dish. I enjoyed it very much, thanks for anouther great dinner choice. salt? 05/07/2008 at 10:41am User: Russell from Norfolk, VA User Rating: An excellent recipe. I take issue with the teaspoon of salt that is mixed with the shrimp before sauteeing. Omit tis step, and instead, just sprinkle a light amount over the batch. 1 teas. causes the shrimp to hold too much salt. An Unbeatable Pairing 05/02/2008 at 04:11pm User: Marybeth from Stratford, CT User Rating: I can't say enough about how much my family LOVED this recipe, paired with the Lemon Spaghetti. With the exception of adding more crushed red pepper flakes than the recipe calls for (personal preference), I found the balance of seasonings to be perfect for both recipes. I was concerned about the amount of pasta water needed to make the Lemon Sauce because I used angel hair; but, possibly because I used Barilla Plus, the added fiber of the macaroni held up well to 1 full cup of the pasta water. This would make a very impressive "company meal"! OMG - THIS IS FAB AND EASY... 04/23/2008 at 08:39pm User: LS from Boynton Beach, FL User Rating: GIADA, you have done it again!!! Your recipes alway come out great. You make delicious easy. thanks for all your hard work and testing out your recipes so that we can make delicious meals. Your cookbooks are great also. Awesome! 04/14/2008 at 06:54pm User: Kori from Oak Ridge, TN User Rating: This meal was a lot of fun to make and not to mention healthy, quick, and satisfying. This is a definite keeper, and I can't wait to make this for my boyfriend soon! Please try it. You won't be disappointed. :) Delicious and Flavorful 04/14/2008 at 09:24am User: Angela from Bishopville, MD User Rating: I made this dish after watching the recipe on tv. Very easy to make and the dish was very tasty. The recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes and I only put 1/2 teaspoon in. It was still very spicy - maybe next time I will put less in. I think you'll really enjoy it. Shrimp Fra Diavolo 04/13/2008 at 12:51pm User: Theresa from Smithfield, VA User Rating: This is a great recipe! I made a small amount of Linguine and put the shrimp on top of it. Delicious and easy! 01/03/2008 at 10:03am User: Jennifer from Austin, TX User Rating: I was so bored of my usual pasta recipes. This was easy to make and the red pepper adds just a little spice to the shrimp. (It's really NOT overly spicy) Great over pasta. I liked it so much I made the shrimp later that week for lunch. No so special 12/25/2007 at 10:37pm User: Dorota from Ridgewood, NY User Rating: I totally did not like the tomatos and the shrimp together. No my style. My husband doesn't like wine in his food, so I used vegetable broth...it still turned out good and the picky family liked it. Especially topped with freshly grated parm. Reggiano. Amazing Recipe 10/10/2007 at 01:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: A very hot and tasteful recipe Yum... 10/07/2007 at 01:08am User: Amy from Upland, CA User Rating: my boyfriend and I made this tonight and it turned out great! the amount of heat from the red pepper was perfect (a little much for me, but perfect for him). There was a little too much liquid for our taste, so next time we might use a little less wine. We will definately make it again!! Simple yet delicious 09/17/2007 at 02:01am User: Anonymous User Rating: I added an extra can of tomatos, doubled the garlic, and tossed it with spaghetti - excellent! My guests loved it and everyone left full! Shrimp can be good in a red sauce! 09/15/2007 at 04:53pm User: Sara from Bradenton, FL User Rating: For a long while I had been trying to convince my husband that shrimp could taste wonderful cooked in some sort of red sauce. I never would make anything of the sort since I wasn't sure myself what kind of red sauce and other ingredients to cook it with. When I found this recipe I knew it was the one. Really good but.... 07/03/2007 at 05:32pm User: Jessica from Fremont, CA User Rating: I made this dish last night with the lemon pasta. It was really good, but i can't seem to not overcook the shrimp, they were a bit tough. Thought there would be too much red pepper flakes so only used half and it could have used more of a kick. Overall, I would make this recipe again. But next time I will serve it over polenta instead of pasta. Needs pasta! 07/03/2007 at 02:08pm User: Karyn from Albany, GA User Rating: This was a very easy dish. My husband thought it was too spicy, but I thought it was just right. My husband declared it a "keeper." Mind you that doesn't happen often!!! An All-Around Winner! 09/20/2006 at 01:25pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I find it really challenging to cook for my husband because rarely do we agree on what's good. Well, for about the first time, we both agreed after the first bite that this dish is delicious! We put it over the Lemon Spagetti (we made it with whole wheat noodles). I was even in a hurry and didn't mince my garlic as well as I should have and I was out of some of the fresh herbs and parmasean cheese, but it was still wonderful! I cannot wait to make it again. It was fast, easy and "restaurant-quality"! Thanks Giada! Better than any restaurant 09/16/2006 at 10:07pm User: LINDA from Sebastian, FL User Rating: Sundays are family dinners, and I make only Giada's recipies. This got more than the usual raves. My husband said that he'd have paid $40+ at any restaurant. And the lemon spaghetti -- don't get me started. Everyone will love! 09/14/2006 at 09:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this dish for my family and they wouldn't stop commenting on how great it was. Thanks Giada. great shrimp recipe 09/05/2006 at 10:35pm User: kiara from Paradise Valley, AZ User Rating: Made this for my son and his wife, they both loved it - hot pepper on shrimp made it too spicy for my 20-month old granddaughter, but it was fine for everyone else. Served it with pasta, just very easy and very tasty. Very good and easy! 09/05/2006 at 12:55pm User: Robert from Austin, TX User Rating: Made this for dinner last night because I wanted something quick. Our market currently had shelled and deveined shrimp on sale so that made the preparation even faster. I agree with other reveiwers about the red pepper flakes...1 tsp would have over powered the dish...I used about half that amount. I served this over linguine and sprinkled parmesan reggiano over it. A Stunner 09/05/2006 at 11:52am User: DAN from olathe, KS User Rating: This is a wonderful sauce. Just be sure to serve it over a light pasta (linguini, bucatini, spaghetti, etc). The wine needs to be a dry one for proper acidic "bite". Good mix of spices. I'm not sure that the tomato-based sauce went well with the shrimp. The shrimp was kind of salty, and the sauce made it seem even saltier. I'm glad I tried it. The dish was OK. I liked it, but I don't like it that much that I'm going to make this again any time soon.
