Worthless Recipe 12/29/2006 at 09:50pm User: Jennfier from Rancho Cucamonga, CA User Rating: I was excited to try this recipe and made it Christmas morning for my family. Unfortunately, it was a waste of time. The recipe says to cook it for 45 min., but I cooked it for about an hour and it still never cooked all the way inside, and meanwhile, the edges were about to burn. We still tried to eat it because I did all that work, but it tasted very bland and the cake and sweet roll combination didn't seem to taste good together. There are sooo many better coffee cake recipes than this one, don't bother with this one. Does Seattle know about this? 12/24/2006 at 09:13pm User: Anonymous User Rating: A recipe for disaster. Not of enough good coffee in the world to save this overly dry and sweet mess. The rolls in the cake had very little flavor 12/22/2006 at 08:24am User: Anonymous User Rating: it was like a pocket of flavor in random spots and then -nothing. I thought this was a terrible rendidtion of coffee cake bread pudding. decadent!! 12/21/2005 at 01:34am User: Anonymous User Rating: so so yummy. worth the time and thought! Mug Coffee Cake 12/16/2005 at 02:51am User: Anonymous User Rating: amazingly good Too complicated 12/14/2007 at 04:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was way too involved to justify the result. Next time, I'm just going to make bread pudding in the individual cups and call it a day. great 12/14/2005 at 09:44pm User: Anonymous User Rating: !!!!! easy and yummy! 12/13/2005 at 10:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: easy and yummy! very difficult to serve in a cup 12/11/2006 at 10:59pm User: Cordeilia from Mirimar, CA User Rating: this had a definate pudding texture. None of like this. It was pretty time consuming, too. I thought the idea was to create quicked ways to do things. GREAT 12/10/2006 at 12:02am User: Anonymous User Rating: I loved this recipe. The taste was GREAT. This turned out to be a tremendous amount of work 12/09/2006 at 12:51pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The "shortcut" proved to be the long way around this time. Tasted like soso coffee cake in a cup. very good! 10/15/2006 at 08:12pm User: Jenifer from Richmond, VA User Rating: This is probably going to be a new holiday tradition - it is great, easy to make - and lasts for a few days after it's made. Crowd pleaser 08/17/2006 at 01:00am User: shannon from seattle, WA User Rating: I make this recipe every holiday breakfast, everyone always loves it, its quit and easy, plus you can make it the nigth before and refridgerate it. A good start 07/01/2007 at 09:52pm User: Shayna from Lilburn, GA User Rating: I made this per the recipe the first time and it was ok - I think leaving it sit overnight was definitely helpful. Enough of my co-workers liked it, but I felt there was something missing. I went back to the recipe and made some modifications and got much better reviews the next time I made it and now this is one of my go-to's when I need to bring something yummy in for coffee break at work. I don't use the instant espresso, but make my own. (luckily I have an espresso maker) I also whip up a little extra of the cinnamon/sugar mix to toss on the bottom of the pan with some chopped pecans before I start the roll-batter mix. I also throw in chopped pecans at the middle layer with the cinnamon/sugar mix. Much, much better! I think the "pudding" texture that everyone seems to dislike is what makes this a big hit. No one likes a dried out old crumb coffee cake, but a moister version of it is much more palatable. Terrible 06/10/2006 at 09:01pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This wasn't good at all. Especially with those hawaii rolls. Terrible recipe. Pretty bad 05/17/2006 at 08:23pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Some of the directions don't make a lot of sense but in any case the taste was pretty bad. coffee cake 05/06/2006 at 09:28pm User: Anonymous User Rating: not very good, it was pretty bad to be honest |
