This was wonderful. We have neighbors, an elderly couple, that bring us asparagus regularly through the season. All of our children love it, but I'm always looking for a new way to prepare it. This was elegant, yet so simple to fix. Prosciutto and asparagus! How could you go wrong?

easy and impressive

very quick to prepare with great results. Tender asparagus do not need to be blanched.

I liked the flavor the prociutto added but overall it was too salty. I will omit the extra salt next time. Still yummy though.

I loved this recipe. It is very tasty and looks special. It's easy and quick. I prepped mine the day before, but I won't do that again. It would have been better made the same day. I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that the quantity of prosciutto slices doesn't jive with the directions. You would need 16 slices of prosciutto to double up like the directions say. It's good anyway. I will make this again.

Easy and very tasty.

I made this for Easter and my family raved about it. I used thin asparagus spears so I only blanched them a minute instead of 4 minutes. I also decreased the salt slightly because the prosciutto is salty. The bread crumb mixture is easy and delicious and can be used for so many other dishes so I made double.

It was a hit

I tried this over Easter. It was just okay. Relatives liked it just fine but nobody raved or asked for the recipe. I really like asparagus but think that plain asparagus with salt and pepper sprinkled with feta is just as good.

Delicious! I serve these when I entertain - for presentation, taste, & easy. But, I even serve these now for dinner @ least twice a month. These are also wonderful with cheese (fontina, brie, gorgonzola, provolone, mozzarella, etc) inserted along w/the prosciutto. Thank you, Michael.

This was really great, and everone loved it. I used virginia ham instead of prosciutto, and it turned out fine. The toping was delicious, and could probably work well as a topping for all kinds of dishes.

Look great and is so easy!

This has become a new family favorite at holidays! It is so easy to put together and looks very impressive. If you don't have time to make the seasoned bread crumbs every time, try dusting with fresh shredded parmesan - great flavor combo!

A Great Side Dish - or Dinner!

I made this a few days ago...I only used one piece of prosciutto per bundle because it is pretty salty. It was marvelous...my husband, who is as picky as the day is long had seconds...a wonderful spring dish, but you could make anytime with the availabilty of asparagus in supermarkets! I made with marinaded, grilled flank steak and oven roasted red potatoes with basil.

Very Good

The presentation was nice and was easy to prepare. However, it did nothing for the asparagus, in fact it masked the lovely taste of fresh asparagus. I would not prepare it a second time.

This is so delicious. I have waited 3 years for my asparagus plants to harvest. This is the summer!! This recipe has to be a rating of off the chart then. I love this stuff and it is so professional looking and impressive. Food Network has made my cabinets, frig, freezer and the whole kitchen TOO SMALL! I've taken to shopping and spending more on food than clothes...is there something wrong with that picture?

And I love salt. This was delicious, however, proscuitto can be salty. Ditto if you are using seasoned bread crumbs as I did. Better to make your own as the recipe specifies.
