This dish was a great hit. I think the combination of mint and serrano with the fresh corriandor leaves is fantastic.

The serrano-mint sauce is so good that I put it on all kinds of meat and fish. I just can't seem to get enough of it.

This dich is very flavorful. The mint and the cilantro give this dish a special flavor. The only thing is that is very spicy, so maybe you want to try 1/2 of serrano pepper instead of one whole. Unless you really enjoy spicy food of course... Also, there is too much of the sauce for so little shrimp, so maybe adjusting the amount of ingredients for the sauce to 1/2 or using more lettuce and shrimp would be good idea too. My husband loved it!

A friend made this dish for a birthday potluck and I loved it. I made it for my family and some houseguests I had over Labor Day weekend as an appetizer. Well the first pound of shrimp I made was gone before most people got a chance to try it. I had to immediately grill more shrimp. The sauce is outstanding and is great over grilled chicken and veggies. I did only use 1 serrano and it was fine since not everyone likes things as hot as I do. I passed on the recipe on the spot. A definite winner!

Russ made a hit of this one with his family

Not only was this receipe a snap to make, but the aroma of the serrano mint sauce was absolutely captivating. Our kids had a great time putting together the lettuce/shrimp wraps and dousing all with the sauce. We were taken by surprise and make this often. They love serving it to guests!

Nice picnic fare

Perfect combo for a summer picnic on the lawn at Tanglewood! Light, flavorful, and cool. I didn't have fish sauce, so I substituted light soy sauce -- and used jalapenos instead of serranos. Both substitutions worked well.

Delicious!

This was absolutely delicious! I eyeballed canned serrano peppers because I couldn't find any fresh, I added julliened cucumber to the wraps, and I ended up boiling my shrimp in Zatarans crawfish, shrimp, and crab boil dry seasoning because it meant I could nix out the canola oil (watching calories), but it still turned out absolutely wonderful! My fiance loathes mint and he still ate this dish up with the sauce and all. It's really a wonderful recipe! I'll definately be making it again! :)

Yummy!

I used green curry paste and olive and chili oil to sautee the shrimp first, but the mint serrano drizzle really makes this dish!

This one is very good - and versatile - because individuals can decide how spicy to make each one -- by individually adding the sauce (which is very hot).

I loved the simplicity of the recipe and the wonderful fresh taste of mint and the bite of the serrano peppers. The family begged me to make it again soon.

Great poolside appetizer

This is a great shrimp appetizer, something different and tasty. I am glad I read the reviews on this recipe because I used only one serrano chile and it was just right. I skipped the fish sauce. The grilled shrimp had a very good flavor. I used green leaf lettuce, which worked, although next time I am going to try butter leaf. The sauce just barely made it to the end with 2 lbs of shrimp, apx 45, (21-25 ct).

Magnificent!

This recipe was so simple to make-just had a lot of ingredients. I was a bit nervous when I took the lid off the blender and smelled the serrano-mint sauce, because it smelled so hot! However, it was the perfect blend of sweet and slightly spicy, the chili oil was the perfect addition (I did forget to add the cilantro, and I don't know if I missed anything by that), and it was just wonderful! I used larger shrimp-longer to grill, but less work to peel and better flavor. It was just such a unique and wonderful flavor. I've had a drink recently at an Argentinian restaurant that has ginger and serrano peppers, somewhat reminiscent. I might suggest concocting a drink w/the leftover sauce if you can resist sopping it up with the rest of the lettuce.
