substitute orange marmalade for raspberry jam, add some dark chocolate chips or bars on top of that, top with the hazelnut lattice and you have another "Austrian" delight; orange-chocolate linzer bars for "der leibchen". Danke Schein, Wolfgang!

I just made this recipe for a July 4th brunch. I used pecans vs. hazelnuts, and black cherry vs raspberry preserves...and everyone loved them. The batter is tricky to work with, but I used offset spatulas to get where it was needed.

excellent taste. I just found piping the lattice to be very difficult and the doug hard to work with but in the end - yum!

im 12 years old and i made them by myself so they were pretty easy but the flovor was fabulous everyone at my family picnic reunion thing loved them and wanted the recipe!!!! the were YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM YUM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
