I decreased the water to 3 cups and ended with perfectly cooked intact beans with @ one half cup of broth.

Black Beans are a favorite food of mine but I never was able to cook a batch on my own that I was happy with. That is until I tried this recipe. I followed the recipe almost to the letter - the only variation I made was to add a tsp corn starch disolved in water to thicked it up a bit at the finish - and it came out great. Taste and texture was just how I like it. Was my first time using a pressure cooker as well.
