So yummy 09/02/2005 at 08:02pm User: JENNIFER from Columbia, SC User Rating: I made these for a brunch and there wasn't one left -- and I even doubled the recipe! The second time I made them I used lemon-flavored yogurt and it really enhanced the lemon essence of the muffins. Not impressed 08/29/2007 at 12:41pm User: KRISTI from Seattle, WA User Rating: I think this is the first muffin batter that tasted better raw than cooked. Not sure why that is, but the texture was off (dry, and kinda rubbery, although I folded very gently) and flavor lackluster. Yummy! 07/26/2006 at 01:34pm User: Lisa from Christiansburg, VA User Rating: A great breakfast treat with the perfect amount of lemon and poppy seads. They even taste great without the icing. Average 07/04/2004 at 11:09am User: JENNIFER from Dallas, TX User Rating: These were OK, I ate a few, bnut threw most of them out. I did not find the muffin recipe as moist as other muffins (these are much drier). I love Alton Brown's Blueberry muffin recipe and may modify that one with the lemon poppyseed flavoring of this one. Lackluster 06/05/2005 at 06:23pm User: Aaron from Berkeley, CA User Rating: The glaze made these moist enough, but they lacked the intense lemon flavor expected from a lemon poppy seed muffin. I wouldn't bother with this recipe. Awesome 05/10/2007 at 07:00pm User: Hannah from Grand Rapids, MI User Rating: I got a mini-muffin pan for my birthday and I was looking for a recipe I could try. They were gone in a matter of minutes! I had to make a second batch, and double it! Very Good! 04/10/2005 at 10:49pm User: Tanya from Easton, MD User Rating: These were very easy to make and filled with lemon flavor. They were moist, too. If you love the rich flavor of lemon with the crunchiness of the poppy seeds, then this recipe is for you. Great! 03/19/2005 at 01:23pm User: gris from Benicia, CA User Rating: These muffins were very moist and very easy to make. My family loved them. I would make them again. easy 02/23/2006 at 11:28am User: Shannon from Napoleon, ND User Rating: These muffins were easy to make, but just a little dry for my taste. Not sweet enough 02/09/2008 at 10:21pm User: Jamie from Durham, NC User Rating: I wish the mini muffins were a little sweeter. However, I chose to omit the glaze, maybe that was the reason. However, their small size made it a delectable treat. I ate maybe 10 or 11. |
