Great Sauce... 07/08/2008 at 03:46pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I only used the sauce recipe. The Hollandaise came out really good. I used about 1/2 the butter it called for though. It was just too much butter and next time I think I will only make 1/2 the recipe. It yielded alot of sauce and we only needed it for 6 eggs benedict. Will definately make this again. It was super easy and this was the first time trying to make Hollandaise , so I was really pleased I was able to make it at all !! To San Bruno CA 04/07/2008 at 06:46pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Eggs benedict can be Florentine with the addition of Spinach. And they become Eggs Benny Canadian when made with peameal bacon, and they become Orange eggs benedict with an orange-hollondaise sauce. Clearly Tyler knows more than you do! Good, but could be better 10/07/2007 at 06:47pm User: Ines from Boise, ID User Rating: This overall recipe was good, but I didn't like how the hollandaise sauce tasted a lot like butter. Is there anything you could do to take the spotlight off of the butter taste? Other than that, the recipe is great! Wonderful 04/02/2007 at 08:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Perfect easy hollandaise sauce!! Impossible to mess up! New breakfast favorite nice change from eggs benedict, but ... 03/29/2007 at 09:38pm User: Ksenya from San Bruno, CA User Rating: i can't believe tyler doesn't know the difference between eggs benedict and florentine. eggs benedict DO NOT contain spinach. anyway, terminology aside, it's a lot of work but pretty yummy change from the usual muffin/bacon/egg combo. Nice! 03/29/2007 at 12:05pm User: Wayne from Harrisburg, PA User Rating: Better than any recipe I got. Out they go. In comes "the original", and only. Very, very rich dish 01/02/2007 at 05:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The flavor was excellent and the sauce was easy to make but it was just too rich for my family. Scott-Phoenix 05/19/2006 at 05:10pm User: Scott from Show Low, AZ User Rating: x Yum 04/26/2006 at 10:41am User: Anonymous User Rating: The spinach/onion added a healthier feel to it. I made this for brunch and every person loved it. The sauce was perfect. It is a little bit difficult to serve everyone at the same time and sit down with my guests, but they all appreciated the effort. May be better for a Sunday breakfast. crowd pleaser 04/16/2006 at 07:40pm User: Nicole from Rohnert Park, CA User Rating: I made this for Easter Brunch and it was a hit!! Everyone loved it and was so impressed that I made the hollandaise sauce from scratch. The thing is it was soooo.... easy! I will definitley be making this again because my husband loved it! Also the addition of the spinach is great, gets some dark greens in which is a plus! Fantastic recipe! Best Eggs Benedict 02/21/2006 at 07:44pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is a very tasty dish. It was WONDERFUL. Disappointed 01/13/2006 at 12:42pm User: Leone from Aurora, CO User Rating: I tried this last night. It does indeed involve a lot of pots and pans and creates havoc in the kitchen workspace. I decided I prefer poached eggs in my electric poacher. We also thought the sauce was too thin and did not have a definitive taste. My husband said it tasted good but I wasn't pleased. Wonderful! 01/11/2006 at 07:39pm User: Joan from Olympia, WA User Rating: We loved this. I did use fresh spinach instead of frozen. Just chopped it up after washing and draining it, before adding it to the onions to saute. My husband gave me many compliments on this and the roasted potatoes. The sauce is very easy and turned out perfect. It is very buttery, I might try using a bit less butter next time, maybe 3/4 of it? It made more sauce than we needed anyway. Will definitely be making this again very soon. Divine 01/01/2006 at 07:02pm User: BILLIE from Tulsa, OK User Rating: I made this and the roasted potatoes for New Year's Day Brunch and it was absolutely divine. My kitchen was turned upside down when I got through, but it was sooo worth it. This will be a favorite for a long time. Fabulous! 07/30/2005 at 01:54am User: DIANA from thousand oaks, CA User Rating: I have made this a couple of times now and everyone just LOVES it. When preparing it, the kitchen becomes a mess but it is well worth it. I'm preparing ahead the spinach, the sauce, and the potatoes on Saturday. I will then prepare a brunch on Sunday and hopefully not make such a mess. |
