This dish is really good. I used regular orange juice and I also used the zest of a orange. It was wonderful, I'll be making this again and again. Thx.

This dish was very easy and quick to prepare. I used low carb linguine instead of lo mein noodles and added bean sprouts for extra crunch. Highly reccomended.

Tweek it a bit

This recipe really does have wonderful possibilities. Because of all the starch and extra calories, I prepare it without the noodles and serve it with a side of rice. Don't care for snow peas so I substitute green beans and I do season the veggies as I saute them. (Don't know where he gets his veggies but where I get mine they don't come seasoned....sorry!) Also add an extra tbsp chili sauce to the marinade and to the sauce and a little red pepper flakes while sauteeing the onions and peppers. And I do marinate it over night so the flavors can really saturate the chicken. The result, a wonderful low fat stir fry with not too much effort good enough to serve to company. It really does have an incredible flavor combination; spicy, sweet and a slight hint of heat. I next plan to try it with shrimp. Anyone dieting knows that cutting fat and cals usually means losing the flavor but play with this recipe a bit....this one is worth it!

Really excellent stir fry -- almost like New York take out minus the grease and calories. I used sesame oil to saute for flavor and added about 2 cups of bean sprouts after removing from heat.

I made this without the noodles and served brown rice on the side. It made a ton of food and was very impressive both in presentation and taste. Highly recommend.

A Pleasant Surprise

After seeing this made on tv, I thought I would try it- I love orange chicken! I had my neighbors over for a simple pool-side dinner last evening and it was a big hit. The recipe made plenty for 4-with the guys going back for seconds. This one does not disappoint. I may next time try marinating the chicken over night for added flavor if time permits.

Yum!

This dish was very, very good. It's easy and quick to prepare, disregarding the marinating time. Orange Chicken is one of my husband's favorite dishes and I'm so happy that I can give him a healthy version of it. Thank you so much.

loooooooooooooved it!

great hints from the gals here: using QJ w/orange zest, and using a little red pepper flakes when sauting the veggies. I served with white rice and that took some of the spice off the veggies. marinate the meat as long as possible; I didn't have fresh ginger so had to use ground. My family raved.

Great!

I liked this dish, it's easy and pretty different from what people normally prepare at home. Don't let the spicy title scare you, this dish is not hot at all.

Very tasty ~ we neglected to drain the chicken into a colander ~ made for a very sweet dish. Can't wait to try it again the right way - hopefully less sweet.

loved the lo mein!

I had everything for this recipe except the fresh vegetables. So I made it accordingly, however used canned water chestnuts, & baby corn and fresh sliced white onions. It was REALLY good! My husband loved it and so did my 4 yr old daughter (who also likes sushi so that's not saying much compared to the average 4 year old.) Another great thing about it was how EASY it was! This will definately be a regular in my house.

strong oyster taste

This would have been really good minus the oyster sauce. I've never had oyster sauce before (to my knowledge), but I think it ruined the dish. My husband and I had to order pizza because the seafood aftertaste is so strong. Maybe we have strong taste buds?? I will make this dish again, but I'll use soy sauce in place of the oyster sauce.

When I made this, I ended up overdoing the noodles and I thought the dish was missing something, but it tasted better as a left over the next day.
