100% Delicious & EASY 07/30/2008 at 09:57pm User: Trisha from McKinney, TX User Rating: This recipe was wonderful. Very easy to follow and quick. Everyone at dinner ate every last bite including a 7 year old and 4 year old! I used bbq sauce that I had on hand: 1/3 Cattleman's Sweet and 2/3 Bulls Eye Original. Since I didn't have any brisket on hand I bought a little container at a local bbq restaurant. They tasted like I had slaved over the hot stove all day long!! Highly recommended! Hit's the spot! 08/05/2007 at 12:56pm User: Dean from Kansas City, MO User Rating: I've been eating their beans for about 20 years. Love em! They are not the best in Kansas City but a very strong 2nd place. I do drain the beans when making this and I add a strong teaspoon of hickory smoked salt. Burnt ends of the brisket are best for flavoring these. Very Good 07/03/2007 at 05:51pm User: bob from Kansas City, MO User Rating: I am not a big fan of baked beans, but this recipe is very good. The only reason I say very good is because not everyone will like it. I loved it. It is the only recipe I use for BBQ Beans. 1 change: I combined everything into a baking dish and baked the beans at 350 for a couple of hours because I had the time and felt a long bake would bring out better flavor. I was right. local favorite 06/28/2007 at 05:31pm User: Melissa from Overland Park, KS User Rating: this is a local favorite and it is so simple...I do add chopped onion however. Great BBQ Beans 05/26/2007 at 10:22am User: Bud from Grandview, MO User Rating: I have had these beans and while traveling all across this country, I have yet to have better. The flavor and texture is unsurpassed. I have had BBQ all over and it's never been beat by the KC BBQ. The Green Door Smoke House in Austin Texas comes close to tenderness of the meats, but they are short on flavor and couldn't be taught the art of baked beans. So come to KC and enjoy the best. Everyone loved this! 12/06/2005 at 01:55pm User: Mike from Mountlake Terrace, WA User Rating: Even my wife loved this recipe and she hates pork and beans of any kind. I ate them like candy and savored every bite. Adding the brisket worked to make a good bean dish even better. I used the Rainforest Cafe's "MOJO BAR-B_Q SAUCE" instead and it turned out awesome! Top Notch! 01/12/2005 at 02:42pm User: BRIAN from Calumet City, IL User Rating: Even though its very good, for some reason, they still taste better at the restaurant. Great beans! 08/12/2004 at 01:06pm User: RICHARD from El Cajon, CA User Rating: I have made these three weekends in a row. They are gobbled up each time and receive more compliments then the rest of the food spread out. I usually double the recipe. I actually add bean over the doubled amount, however, I drain that can of it's sauce first. Another spicy change I make is to use a "hot and spicy" favored barbecue sauce for atleast a quarter or third of the required amount. |
