Instead of 1 cup heavy cream I used 1 cup milk; 1 cup of milk was too much, though, so from now on I will start with less. Instead of 3 large eggs I used 1. When I served these to people I did NOT get any complaints ! I highly recommend this recipe ! Excellent 03/21/2007 at 07:19pm User: Michele from Rye, NY User Rating: EVERYONE loved them! Staci 07/19/2005 at 01:42pm User: STACI from Clarksboro, NJ User Rating: My picky 3yr. old son LOVES these meatballs. I replaced the heavy cream with low fat canned milk to cut down on the fat. Tastes just a delicious without the cream. Great Taste 04/05/2005 at 09:19am User: PEGGY from peyton, CO User Rating: These were great, I used them at a party and they were a big hit. Now everyone wants the recipe. I did add a clove of garlic, minced and a little bit of shredded parmesano regionno cheese...yummy! yummy 02/26/2005 at 11:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: half the heavy cream is just as good. Because big round meat cooks slowly, making it into patty shapes would be healthier. But if you want it fancy, i'd recommend rolling it into little balls.
