You must add the toasted coconut as the garnish! I slipped up and put 3/4 cup of flour which made it hold together. Even with the mess-up, my husband and I thought it was definitely a thumbs up recipe!




A bit on the sour side.

Okay so I have made this cake twice and it has come out both times looking like jello gone bad. It is not cake...it's sluge. I followed the recipe to a t and it's not my oven...I bake all the time.

The cake part of this recipe was too thin in size compared tothe picture in the book. It did not look like the picture at all. It was more like a waffer thin layer of cake and the limeade sauce (which was quite good) on the bottom drowned out the cake.
