Scrumptous 09/27/2004 at 05:01pm User: DAVID from Corona, CA User Rating: Simple, good tasting, and little time spent preparing. Followed recipe and turned out perfect. Easy way to make great pork chops... 09/17/2004 at 06:28am User: JASON from Hopewell, VA User Rating: Okay, I am not a big Bobby Flay fan...he's an arrogant jerk ? but this is a great recipe. I make the brine before church, and when we get home we slip the boneless chops into the George Foreman grill. In a few minutes, they are perfect?juicy and flavorful. I have not tried it on the grill yet, but I am sure it?s even better that way. Great recipe, but listen to Mark and Nancy 06/24/2007 at 11:19pm User: Tom from Huntington, NY User Rating: Loved this recipe, but I decided to second guess the chefs and add salt and pepper after pulling the chops from the brine. While this added a nice crunch, it also resulted in a quite salty mouthful. So skip the seasoning, the brine does its job. A note on the cooking times, I had them on a Weber gas grill at medium (halfway setting) at 425 degrees, 13 minutes the first side and 10 minutes the second side and they were slightly overcooked. Probably technically the right temp but I like pork chops slightly pink in the center (though the brine covers you a little in moistness). Mine were bone in about 2 inches thick. If you're using boneless even less time is necessary on the grill. Different taste 06/10/2007 at 06:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: good sweet/spicy marinade. Try it for a goos moist chop. Sweet sassy molassy 03/01/2005 at 07:12pm User: KEITH from St Louis, MO User Rating: A great brine mixture for pork. The molasses flavor really worked well, but I still needed a side of applesauce to go with it. I seared the pork chops on my range, instead of bbq, and I don't think the pan was nearly hot enough, since it took longer to cook through and it was still a bit pink inside. This would be a great brine for low-mid quality meat for a large cookout! Very Good and Sweet 02/06/2007 at 06:07pm User: Maryanne from Decatur, AL User Rating: This recipe was just what I wanted. Tender and Sweet pork cops!! Good stuff ... 01/29/2007 at 11:28pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Tasted good and easy to make. not impressed 01/23/2007 at 12:08pm User: Stephanie from Harrisonburg, VA User Rating: the chops were very juicy, but the molasses flavor was too much for me. |
