Absolutley yummy 12/30/2004 at 03:22pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The only change that I made was roasted the pecans and then food processed them and added to the rest of the crust recipe. I think it is one of the best cheesecake pies I have ever eaten. I don't really care for blueberries but I think it would be just as good with cherry topping. I had some problem with the crust... 11/26/2004 at 09:09pm User: BRENDA from fairbanks, AK User Rating: It was nice and easy to make. The filling turned out pretty good. However, I had problems with the crust. It turned out really hard and was difficult to cut. Plus it had too much butter it was like eating a stick of butter. I'll make it again but maybe I'll use a pre-made crust like one of the Keeblers shortbread crust. Excellent Blueberry Tart 11/04/2006 at 06:48pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is actually better than excellent. It's easy to make and is a favorite in our home. They loved it!! the best 10/03/2005 at 09:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: the best tart ever yummy 09/29/2006 at 07:24pm User: hanna from El Paso, TX User Rating: really easy to make and was delicious..i'm not a fan of blueberry so i used blackberries...it was a hit! Impressive! 09/29/2006 at 01:19am User: Anne from Santa Ana, CA User Rating: This is a very easy recipe, is delicious and has a beautiful presentation that will have people thinking you slaved for hours or purchased it from a bakery. I highly recommend. LOVED the filling, but 09/25/2006 at 03:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Liked the dough/crust (easy & fast, no rolling), (the finely crushed walnuts pressed on teh raw dough before baking was a VERY nice touch)! I L-O-V-E-D the cream cheese mixture! ...HOWEVER, next time I'll substitue the "canned blueberry" junk for something better & fresher!!! AMAZING 09/23/2006 at 12:20pm User: Kathrine from Omaha, NE User Rating: AMAZING. It is very rich, so you tart can feed a whole lot of people. AMAZING. Heavenly! 09/22/2006 at 06:11pm User: Angela from Hercules, CA User Rating: I had a dream about a blueberry tart and found this recipe :) I altered it slightly, but it was still as yummy as it was in my dream, if not better! So easy to make too...a must dessert! Excellent!!!! 09/21/2006 at 04:51pm User: Joy from Bayville, NJ User Rating: This was so delicious and such a beautiful presentation. Everyone at my dinner party raved. Thank you Paula! This one is definitely a keeper. yummy 09/21/2006 at 08:17am User: Tina from Statesville, NC User Rating: This was easy and oh so good. The crust was delicious. Definately a keeper. Delicious, Easy and Impressive 09/15/2007 at 07:30pm User: Rick from Tarzana, CA User Rating: Paula, this is a GREAT dessert! It's SO easy to make, and it never fails to impress my dinner guests. I DO make one substitution: I am unable to find canned blueberry pie pilling in my local supermarkets, so I use frozen, defrosted blueberries instead. When they are in season, fresh blueberries are even more delicious! An Old Family Favorite 09/15/2004 at 11:53pm User: JEANNINE from Inglewood, CA User Rating: My mother found this recipe about 30 or more year ago when I was a girl scout. The only difference was that the crust was put into a 9 X 13 pan instead of a pastry pan and also we always used Comstock cherries. However, any fruit that has a bit of tartness will do. I'm going to try it as a tart now. All I know is that my mother used this recipe and passed it on to me and I have been using it now for over 10 years. We just think it is heavenly. All of our friends want the recipe who haven't tried it before. Make it and have it become one of your family favorites because you will be glad you did. It's really that good and so easy to make. Easy and quick 09/12/2004 at 02:11pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this and it was a hit. Blueberry tart Fantastic 09/07/2004 at 11:19pm User: JANE from wayne, NJ User Rating: I made it for the League of Women Voters Meeting.Everyone loved it and wanted the recipe. This is to make, is impressive to look at, and is light and delicious Very Easy Recipe 09/07/2004 at 02:37pm User: LISA from Manasquan, NJ User Rating: I made this for a Labor Day party. Unfortunately I had to leave before it was eaten, but I saw the same people the next day and they raved about this dish. For someone who doesn't bake that much, this was a very easy recipe to make with great results. Absolutely Delicious 09/06/2006 at 08:03pm User: STACEY from MEMPHIS, TN User Rating: This tart is easy to make and absolutely delicious. Tasted great but.... 09/05/2004 at 10:07am User: MARTY from Arlington, VA User Rating: it didn't set up, after 4 hours of refigeration. Maybe I didn't whip the cream long enough? Also I used a spring form pan which made the crust too thick. I'll try it again since so many people have had success with it. great 09/04/2006 at 10:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: very smooth and creamy..taste wonderful So Good! 09/04/2004 at 10:14pm User: SUZANNE from Laguna Niguel, CA User Rating: I have been using a tried and true recipe for Blueberry Cheesecake that my family always request, but I decided to try Paula's this one time, and I have to say.....YES.....I love it! This will now be my new tried and true recipe in the future! Keep up the good work, Paula!! Versatile Crust 09/01/2006 at 04:54pm User: LISA from Drexel, NC User Rating: The finished dessert looks so elegant, as though you spent all afternoon. It's terrific and the crust recipe is a good stable for other no bake filings as a change from a standard graham cracker crust. Love it! outstanding 09/01/2004 at 02:12pm User: ANTHONY from Fort Lauderdale, FL User Rating: My partner and I were having a party and I made this desert it went over so well our guest thought that we bought it. So now our friends want me to make it all the time its just excellent.. Blueberry Tart 08/31/2005 at 07:02am User: Anonymous User Rating: loved it "Your Best Dessert Ever"..... 08/28/2006 at 06:55pm User: Marti from Madison, WI User Rating: ....that's what my friend told me last night about this Blueberry Tart. It's not even very difficult and I make a lot of desserts that are difficult and I got the rave reviews for this. My husband wanted me to make it again for a birthday party tomorrow night and I said "you have to have a birthday CAKE at a birthday party" He said, "well, they might like this better" So, it is a huge hit and no fuss at the last minute, keeps in refrigerator perfectly for hours until ready to serve. sweet and light 08/27/2006 at 04:37pm User: Kerri from Citrus Springs, FL User Rating: This is an excellent dessert. It is quick, simple, and wonderful! Children to adults love this light pastry tart. We made this for friends then the next day another one for a lazy Sunday. Wonderful filling!!!!!!!!! 08/27/2005 at 09:09pm User: Julie from Lawrenceville, GA User Rating: This was wonderful. The filling tasted so good and sweet that I had a hard time putting it into the pan. I kept eating the filling and so did my husband. We used fresh strawberries on top, no nuts and it turned out tasty. YUMMY TO THE TUMMY 08/26/2006 at 09:50pm User: rose from Brooklyn, NY User Rating: I give this blueberry tart 10 STARS.. Blueberry Tart 08/26/2006 at 01:09am User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy to make just like Paula showed. Just as delicious as she described in the show as well. It was a huge hit with my family. Delicious and easy tart! 08/26/2004 at 05:44pm User: IRIS from Hurley, NY User Rating: I love the fillings for this tart. The creamy layer and the fruit on top are divine! But, I didn't like the crust as much because it was too heavy/dense against the fruit and cream. It does look beautiful, though! I definitely rivals anything I have ever brought home from a bakery. I'll just have to play around with the crust to find one with just the right amount of substance to have that beautiful appearance, but a little lighter to the bite! Enjoy! Great tart! 08/25/2004 at 09:06pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for a neighborhood cookout and everyone really loved it. I thought it was a great idea to put the pecans in the crust and it added a nice crunch and flavor! I did not have a fancy pan as suggested, however, I used my cheesecake pan and it was perfect! part cheesecake, part pie...100% delicious! 08/23/2004 at 06:34am User: Anonymous User Rating: this recipe is one of the best desserts i have ever tasted in my life. and mind you, i am not a big fan of either blueberries or tarts. i was so amazed by the end result. i used to buy a tart exactly like this for about $40 at a gormet store. this takes less time to make than a simple batch of cookies, and i made the crust by hand...total time, was less than 15 minutes to put together. i used a 10" spring form cake pan, which worked beautifully. i highly recommend this if you have company, as it easily serves 10-12 & looks like it came from a professional bakery. amazingly easy to make. couldn't be simplier or more divine tasting. my only tip, is to poke the crust with a fork before baking, to keep it from puffing up. also, cherry pie filing, or really any flavor would subsitute well for blueberry pie filling, although it is delicious w/ blueberries, like i said, i normally do not like. i will make this again & again & every time i have company. hats off to Paula!! sweet treat 08/22/2007 at 09:23pm User: Michele from vinemont, AL User Rating: I made this for my friends at work. They loved it. I will be making it again. Bland crust 08/21/2006 at 07:57pm User: shane from berea, KY User Rating: This was very tasty: however, the crust had no flavor. It was lacking salt. I added 1 tsp. salt to the crust mixture the second time I made it, and it made the biggest difference in the taste. YUMMY! Tried strawberries instead of blueberry filling 08/21/2006 at 07:55pm User: Laney from Goose Creek, SC User Rating: Easy to make and substituted strawberry filling because my hubby loves strawberries. It's so pretty and yummy!!! The best tart 08/21/2005 at 11:52pm User: Annie from Yadkinville, NC User Rating: This is delicious and so easy to fix. The crust is so flaky. I used apple pie filling instead of Blueberry and it is the best. Thank you Paula, Annie Yadkinville NC Did I miss something? 08/20/2005 at 12:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I just love Paula and her recipes. But this dessert seemed very bland to me and my guests. The crust was good but cream cheese mixture was sweet, but semi-tasteless. The recipe called for 2 packages (3-ounces each)of cream cheese. I used 1 8-ounce package because 6 ounces just didn't seem like enough. Could the recipe have possibly meant 2 8-ounce packages? Please help, as so many reviewers loved this recipe and I would like to make it again,if I goofed! Thanks. Great 4th of july dessert!!! 08/19/2006 at 11:31pm User: Laura from Pinopolis, SC User Rating: My family enjoyed this dessert...even my husband who is not a big sweet eater enjoyed this... Almost a 5 Star 08/19/2006 at 09:26pm User: Beth from New Haven, IN User Rating: This is just short of a 5 star in my book because, other than the blueberry topping, it didn't have much flavor. Sweet, yes. Flavor, no. I would add vanilla to the crust and to the cream cheese/whipped cream layer. I would also use an 8 oz. package of cream cheese instead of the 2-3oz. packages and I would toast the pecans as someone else mentioned. I do have a 12" tart pan and it works well for this recipe. I can see that a smaller spring form pan or the like would make the crust too thick and that would be hard to cut. I had no problems with the 12" tart pan. My next venture with this recipe is going to be with cherry pie filling, almond flavoring and toasted sliced almonds instead of the blueberry pie filling, pecans and vanilla. Hmmmm...sounds good! so easy a monkey can do it 08/18/2007 at 09:09pm User: mary from lawton, OK User Rating: This was pretty easy considering I am not a very good cook and try to be more like Paula Deen and Rachel Ray. My boyfriend says I try to hard and it doesnt end up like theirs. I watch every thing they do and always try it. Because my boyfriend said he would leave me for Paula and Rachel. This was easy but i reccommend not to use a 5.00 hand blender and a real mixer. blueberries 08/18/2006 at 02:35am User: JUNE from placerville, CA User Rating: This was a great dessert. It was fun to take on a picnic. Very easy & so yummy. WOW 08/17/2004 at 08:16am User: NANCY from Vassar, MI User Rating: I am not a good cook so when my 22 year old son saw this tart sitting on the table he thought I bought it from a bakery !! WOW what a wonderful dessert The Best 08/16/2006 at 05:28pm User: Patty Jean from demotte, IN User Rating: This blueberry tart is the Best..by golly!! Very easy to prepare...I would give it 10 STARS!! New Favorite 08/15/2006 at 10:37pm User: VALERIA from Walla Walla, WA User Rating: I've been looking sor a simple blueberry dessert recipe and this is it. By accident I used 8 oz cream cheese and instead of making a crust I used a pre-made graham cracker crust because thats what I had. This recipe can actually make 2 pies. About 1/2 the cream cheese mixture was left as well as the blueberry. I ate the remaining cream cheese mix. In all, a great success. My husband loved it! Great! 08/15/2004 at 01:49pm User: CHEL from Fayetteville, GA User Rating: This is a desert that is sure to saisfiy your sweet tooth. Out Of This World 08/13/2006 at 01:59pm User: Carmin from Sheboygan, WI User Rating: Ever since I got me one of those tart pans. I have made all your tarts and this one is GREAT! Try fresh blueberries 08/13/2004 at 02:06pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I had a ton of fresh blueberries on hand so I supstiuted those for the canned. It was yummy. Try mixing in a little red current jam to give them a little "syrup" to coat. Nice a light. Not too heavy. Great for summer entertaining. Yum Yum 08/12/2006 at 01:30pm User: J from Seattle, WA User Rating: This one was just as popular as the Caramelized Brownies I brought into work together with this one. I swear I would have eaten every bit of it had I not shared them with my coworkers. Wow! 08/12/2004 at 01:01pm User: BRIAN from Whiting, NJ User Rating: Outstanding, becase it was SO simple! I'm a 22 year old grad student pressed for time and money, so I try to do simple recipes, and this takes the cake. Bravo. so easy and good 08/12/2004 at 12:35pm User: MOE from Virginia Beach, VA User Rating: This recipe couldn't be any easier and the taste was out of this world Wonderful Blueberry Tart 08/12/2004 at 10:10am User: LINDA from Vernal, UT User Rating: I'm giving a dinner party this evening for my 3 sisters. I made this tart last evening for the dessert course. It is absolutely delicious. I can't wait for my sisters to try it. Blueberry Tart is great! 08/11/2006 at 10:14am User: Debbie from Lakeland, TN User Rating: This recipe was not difficult, just took a couple of different bowls when mixing. It was very good! Very nice 08/10/2006 at 01:28am User: Diane from San Diego, CA User Rating: I substituted fresh blueberries for the pie filling and it was very good. Training wheels on steroids! 08/10/2004 at 11:08pm User: INGRID from Federal Way, WA User Rating: First off let's say, I hate baking, love cooking. Yea, I bake. I do okay. My forte is pie crust (thanks Brenabaum. That said: This way a joy! Lord, if I were to say to you, Paula; Paula, I like tarts and pies, I hate baking what should I make...oh, did I mention I was critical and fussy? She would come up with this. Let's talk crust here: Reminds me of a Scotish Shortbread, very buttery and crumbly, nice bite to it. Now I added a pinch of salt to her crust. I used a cherry pie filling that I have prior expertience with so I know it is tasty. The recipe seemed a little unclear in the sugars. I just used powdered in the whip and granulated in the cream cheese and hey, it worked for me. The family and I loved it. And Paula, I love you TOO! Blessings! Ingrid OHMIGOD! 08/09/2006 at 01:45pm User: Bonnie from Portland, OR User Rating: That is what I heard over and over after everyone's first bite of this tart - one guy even told me if his wife ever left him he would be moving in with me. My friend has a blueberry farm so I made the blueberry pie filling from scratch rather than using canned which probably made it just that much better. It took longer of course but the result was well worth it. Wonderful 08/08/2006 at 04:30pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made the blueberry tart right after seeing it on Sunday. I used extra creamy whipped topping rather than whipping the cream. The tart is delicious...light, not too sweet and easy to adapt with other fruit toppings. Looks quite fancy, too. I'll definitely be making this again. excellent 08/06/2004 at 01:43am User: DENA from fishkill, NY User Rating: ------ Quick, Easy and Delicious 08/03/2006 at 08:18am User: Emily from Southaven, MS User Rating: This was my first tart to ever prepare and it was a success! very easy to make and even better to eat!! Excellant 07/31/2006 at 02:08pm User: CARL from Alachua, FL User Rating: I made this tart for our last family gathering. The liked it as much as they do my cheesecake. Excellant recipe. So yummy 07/31/2005 at 02:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for desert after a dinner party and everyone raved about it. It was gone within seconds and people were disappointed I didn't have more. Thanks Paula!! Blueberry Tart 07/28/2005 at 04:59pm User: Darci from Orange Park, FL User Rating: This was a crowd pleaser. However, if your crust turns out too hard, just let it sit out at room temperature for 5-8 minutes. The butter in the crust will soften. good - would suggest homemade topping instead of canned 07/25/2005 at 03:54pm User: Anonymous User Rating: crust: enjoyed. shortbread-like. not too sweet. filling: fluffy, smooth cream-cheese wonderland. very tasty. topping: used canned blueberry. Did not like. ruined the dessert for me. so easy blueberry tart 07/22/2007 at 04:25pm User: Diana from Williamsburg, VA User Rating: One of the best and easiest blueberry desserts. Everyone loved it! I actually used Stonewall Kitchens wild blueberry jam instead of pie filling. Simple and Delicous 07/21/2005 at 03:10pm User: LAURA from Ontario, CA User Rating: Very easy and beyond delicious. I've already made it twice and everyone loves it! Looked like the picture! So Easy 07/20/2005 at 01:22pm User: Marcia from Miami, FL User Rating: The original recipe was way too sweet. I omitted the sugar in the whipped cream so when blended with the sweetened cream cheese, it was rich rather than sweet. I also used fresh blueberries sprinkled with pwd sugar rather than using sticky sweet pie filling. great 07/13/2006 at 08:18pm User: Anonymous User Rating: it was easy nothing special 07/13/2006 at 02:51pm User: Anonymous User Rating: this was fairly easy to make and it tasted good, but it's nothing special Blueberry Tart 07/07/2006 at 04:13pm User: Mary from N. Richland Hills, TX User Rating: This was easy and delicious. Made it on 4th of July, used strawberries and blueberries. It was the hit of the day! The whole is better than the parts 07/07/2006 at 12:31am User: Anonymous User Rating: After making the crust, I honestly didn't think I'd like this recipe, something about the flavor of the crust I wasn't too crazy about, and the cream cheese/sugar mixture was sickingly sweet. But I made the recipe exactly as it was called for and I couldn't believe how good it was. The flavors blended together beautifully and as one reviewer noted, the nuts really did make the dish. Keep in mind however that this tart is very rich and a 12" tart feeds many. Since there is only my daughter and I at home, I gave some to neighbors and brought the rest to work. Everyone appreciated it. This would be a fabulous dessert to bring along to a party, makes a very nice presentation. Beautiful Blueberry Tart! 07/05/2006 at 09:32am User: Candace from Wellsville, OH User Rating: Not only did I receive endless comments on the taste of this dessert, but the look was just beautiful. Not sure I have made a more stunning dessert other than my fruit pizza at Christmas time! I did change the cream cheese to 2 (8 oz) packages and 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar in the filling. Please make this one. You will not be disappointed! Yum 07/04/2006 at 03:40pm User: Lisa from Clermont, FL User Rating: Thank you Paula! I made the tart with strawberry pie filling because blueberry stains teeth, lol! It was wonderful; I can always trust your recipes to be incredible! Even good enough for my mother 07/04/2006 at 02:41pm User: Anne from Bakersfield, CA User Rating: Huge hit!! Not even crumbs from the crust were left. We served it with our 4th of July BBQ and everyone loved it! Perfect summer dessert. P.S. I didn't have a tart pan so I used a springform pan instead and it worked fine. Just make sure to get the sides of the crust up high enough (about 1.5 inches) to hold the filling in. Thanks Paula!! Yum! 07/04/2005 at 04:26pm User: JANE from calera, AL User Rating: From crust to topping this is outstanding! Ten stars if I could 07/03/2006 at 05:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Very good but even better with a can of Cherries jubilee This is easy but with a sophistication that will compiment a formal or simple dinner! The texture is smooth and creamy. Not heavy or overly rich. You have an option of different types of fruit toppings, they all work. I make this and bring it to all functions and to work. Everyone just loves it. Again, many Thanks for all you great chefs and foodnetwork.
