Thai-style Pineapple snack 11/29/2006 at 07:47pm User: briah from Merrillville, IN User Rating: Neddie Real Thai girl who is real fan of food network 09/17/2007 at 03:19pm User: tao from Bataiva, OH User Rating: I'm a Thai girl. I never ate or heard of this snack before. Thai people we have pineapple all the time but we cook, eat fresh etc.. This recipe is not a real Thai snack, sorry to tell you that. We have dipping sauce which make from sugar, salt, fresh chilli pepper(or dried chilli pepper) mash together. When we eat only dip pineapple with this sauce. This dipping sauce we dip with all kind of sour fruit like.. green mango, guava etc. I just want to let people know that "This is not a Thai recipe" Yuck 08/14/2006 at 07:03pm User: T from Jacksonville, FL User Rating: While the recipe was easy to follow and sounded wonderful and new, my Thai friend disagreed with the taste. At first I dipped the pineapple according to the directions but then everything was so overwhelming - especially the cayenne pepper. Then I thought to sprinkle a bit of everything on the pineapple itself and that was just as bad. I think that the pineapple should be marinated in those flavors and then eaten with all the flavors melded together. It was an interesting flavor though. Good luck to whomever tries. Delicious pineapple! 07/15/2006 at 09:47pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I love pineapple and I also love spice and odd combinations of flavors. This had all of that. Very tasty! Wow! 05/15/2006 at 06:35pm User: Kimberly from Bear, DE User Rating: This is an unexpected treat...never would thought to pair these things together. It 's so good and refreshing, and we like spicy so we coated it with the cayenne! Awsome!!! 05/13/2006 at 07:46pm User: Zach from Steavens, PA User Rating: This qiuck and easy snak is delicsious! Amazing 01/09/2007 at 06:40pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Amazing. explosion of flavors in the mouth. Be careful with the cayenne pepper; better to sprinkle it than to dip in it. Everyone was sceptical at first (I brought this meal at a party) but almost everyone was greatly surprised by the wonderful taste. |
