The flavors in this dish combine beautifully with the buttery texture of the tuna to make a truly delicious appetizer.

I've made this many times and it's great. She has a scaled-down recipe for normal # of servings in her cookbook. I use less lime juice. I also put it on baked wonton wrappers instead of crackers (Halve wonton wrappers diagonally into triangles, brush both sides with sesame oil, and bake 8-10 min at 350; very tasty).

YUMMY

I had to make this as soon as I saw it and remembered I had two 4 oz tuna fillets in the freezer. I thawed it in a bowl of cool running water and ground it in the food processor, while making the dressing. I always have avacados and green onions Yummy

I happen to be a lover of tartare to begin with so when I found this tuna tartare recipe I had to try it. All I can say is, it's easy, beautiful, and absolutely delicious

One of my favorite appetizers of all time. Nothing is better than avocado and tuna together. Make sure to get super fresh good quality tuna. We just got back from Hawaii and this recipe tastes as good as the tuna tartares we had there! It's perfect for entertaining.

Not a big fan of "tuna tartare" I've had in the past, but the blending of the different ingredients in this recipe(especially the scallions and wasabi),really bring out a unique taste for me. I REALLY enjoyed it and will serve it at my next poker club party!!

LOVE THIS!!!

We love this! My family really enjoyed this dish...but it's not for everyone. If you're not a sushi fan you may be a little put off by raw tuna. The flavor is awesome.

good fish

I do not like raw fish but I watched her make this and had to try it. I used her orange family cookbook and went on the 1/4 lb.of yellowtail tuna, zest of 1 lime,5 tab. of lime juice, 1 avocado, etc. I did not have the wasabi. This is the greatest for a party or a meeting. This does not tast fishy or raw. I did cut mine up smaller than Ina. I would add more jaiapeno and less zest. The lime was large. I think she put clentro and parsley leaves in on the show am I right? This only makes abaouaat a cup and a half. I will have to double for a small meeting. Make this it will add to your impressing appitizers

Not my favorite tartare

The tuna tartare was ok, definitely not the best I've tried, but would probaby make it again. Left out the wasabi powder simply because I didn't have it - maybe that would have helped. I also didn't like the fact that the recipe was scaled to a large party crowd and not to say, 4 or 6. I found it difficult to divide this into a more normal portion.

This is always a hit when I serve it. The recipe divides well in half or thirds. I add a dash of sesame oil.

Ina does it again! The wasabi and tobasco add that little bit of heat without being overbearing... the creamy avocado is, of course, a perfect compliment to the tuna's texture and flavor. We snacked on this chunky tartare with toasted baguette and some maytag and goat cheese for dinner tonight... it was all fabulous with a few glasses of Clicquot (but then what wouldn't be!?). Home Run. We'll be adding this recipe to our regular repertoire! Thank you, Ina!
