Kids had a blast 07/01/2008 at 09:23pm User: Hilary from Kyle, TX User Rating: My kids, 6 and almost 5, had a blast making these chicken toes. It made a HUGE mess, though. They were tasty and the kids really liked them and were proud of themselves, especially when Dad and big brother bragged on them! It won't be hard to get them back in the kitchen. Great fun for kids!! 07/01/2008 at 08:08pm User: caroline from state college, PA User Rating: My daughters are 5 and 7 and they had a blast making these chicken toes. It took way more than it should have to bread all the chicken but they were laughing the entire time. Also, it's always easier to make kids eat something new when they helped to make it. Bland! 05/26/2008 at 08:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Okay, I gave 2 stars because they were pretty easy and the kids enjoyed making them. But with everything that went into making them...you would think they would have some sort of taste! You will need sauce for these for some sort of flavor. RR 05/23/2008 at 01:36pm User: daniel from woodbridge, NJ User Rating: THIS FOOD LOOK'S GREAT BUT IVE NEVER SEEN THE EPISODE fun 05/18/2008 at 11:01am User: Anonymous User Rating: My kids had fun making this and having the end result come out tasting pretty good. DELISH!!!!! 04/07/2008 at 11:40am User: Dawn from Gainesville, GA User Rating: This is a wonderful recipe! It is so easy too!! My kids and nephews absolutely love this!! They call it MOMS (AUNT DAWN'S) HOME MADE CHICKEN NUGGETS! It is also great with home-made mashed potatoes with cheddar cheese and sour cream and a side of either green beans or brocolli!! Wonderful recipe Rachael Ray!!!!! Great Kid-cook meal!!! 03/31/2008 at 07:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was very fun for my daughter to make and all the kids (and parents, too) loved it!!!! delicious! 03/30/2008 at 02:21pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was the first of Rachel's recipes that I have made and it was excellent! It was super easy to do and I made up a quick meal for my boyfriend and he loved them! It was a great blend of flavors and definitely a nice change from regular chicken tenders! I would definitely recommend this recipe! Yummy!! 03/28/2008 at 08:24pm User: Kathy from Nesquehoning, PA User Rating: We thought the chicken toes were great! Even my two picky boys, ages 8 and 6, loved them! Instead of plain bread crumbs, I used Italian bread crumbs. I think that the allspice gave it a unique flavor. They were very addictive! I would make them again! I prefer fingers to toes 02/17/2008 at 04:31pm User: Jean from Alhambra, CA User Rating: I made chicken fingers using Rachael's recipe. I substitued Italian bread crumbs for regular (because that was what I had), and I omitted the sugar (because I don't like things too sweet), and it turned out great. Lightly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Will be making this again, soon. My kids love this one 01/27/2008 at 02:13pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My kids love to make this one. I think it is because of the name. Everyone loved it! 01/01/2008 at 08:48pm User: Cathy from indianapolis, IN User Rating: My 10-year old niece and I made these for a Christmas eve buffet. They were an absolute hit! Everyone - kids and adults alike - loved them. They also lasted well on the buffet. I did use panko bread crumbs instead of the regular bread crumbs. The panko crumbs gave the chicken pieces a little extra crunch. P.S. my 6-year old niece (who thinks she hates mustard) loved the dipping sauce! I just didn't tell her the ingredients. Disappointing 12/21/2007 at 06:42pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The recipe is written for a child to follow, which is sort of cute. I figured if a kid could make it, so could I! It was pretty easy to make. The chicken came out very tender in the oven. Unfortunately, it had ZERO flavor. Maybe it needed seasoned bread crumbs rather than plain- I don't know. All I know is that I won't make it again. In fact, I do not have much luck with RR's recipes- I find they turn out either bland or with too much spice. Definitely not "de-lish". Very yummy! 11/19/2007 at 05:39pm User: Candie from Thompson, CT User Rating: This is, by far, my kids favorite meal. They love the dipping sauce and request this meal all the time. (The allspice does add a great flavor.) Easy and delicious 10/27/2007 at 06:25pm User: Joan from Holmen, WI User Rating: Simple and really fun to make. I did add some shredded parmesan to the breading because we eat shredded parmesan on everything!!! I also made my own blue cheese dipping sauce. yummo! Easy, Crunchy, Yummy! 09/14/2007 at 04:51pm User: Janet from St. George, UT User Rating: My 5-year-old granddaughter and I had fun making these. They are not only very kid-friendly to make, but also the kind of food kids like to eat. I thought the sauce was pretty good, also, however, my family decided they preferred our standard homemade honey-mustard dip without the addition of the BBQ sauce. Kids love it 08/30/2007 at 03:42pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for the kids after soccer and they loved it, my husband had to go hungry. Great Kids Meal 07/09/2007 at 07:01pm User: Melanie from Hilliard, OH User Rating: My two boys made this and ate all of it! Easy and delicious. Yummy 07/08/2007 at 10:15pm User: Kiki from Walker, MN User Rating: The sweetness (brown sugar) and allspice surprised my son, after a brief adjustment period he made friends with the "new flavors" in his chicken fingers (toes)and enjoyed them. No ingredients for dipping sauce at home. Subbed "Salsa Lisa" Mild Pineapple Ginger Salsa. It was a righteous combination with the allspice in the chicken toe crust. Yum-o for kids! 07/02/2007 at 07:22pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My kids loved this....even liked it myself-sweet and crunchy! Awesome! 06/05/2007 at 05:45pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These were so tasty! My son was able to help prepare them as well. Kids love it! 05/31/2007 at 07:24pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My kids are really picky eaters, but this is one of their favorites. Yummy Food is Best! 05/13/2007 at 04:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I find this recipe really easy for kids. I suggest this to anyone who wants a little something for the day. 2 BIG thumbs up Rachael Ray! Kids say Yum-o! 03/20/2007 at 06:54pm User: Mary Beth from Avon, NY User Rating: I didn't have corn flakes, so I used Panko bread crumbs. I omitted the allspice. The cooking time was longer for us, closer to 20-25 min. and they didn't get really brown, but they were tasty and easy. The kids helped and all decided that we would eat these again! Yumm-o! 03/01/2007 at 11:17am User: Monica from Surprise, AZ User Rating: Very good, quick and easy; would recommend! Delicious and fun recipe 02/22/2007 at 09:53am User: Anonymous User Rating: I made these with my 3 year old son and it was a huge success. Now every chicken finger or nugget is a "toe". It was delicious for the whole family to eat, and now part of our regular cook-together meals. great 01/19/2007 at 08:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: make sure u have honey mudstard Tasty! 01/15/2007 at 02:09pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Had two 12 yr old boys making this and it was easy and very tasty. If it can keep them entertained and happily fed, we are going to have a good day! Thanks. great 12/30/2006 at 12:05am User: rebekah from alpharetta, GA User Rating: fun fast and taste great anyone can make it Easy and perfect for kids! 12/13/2006 at 04:25pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Very tasty! My husband loved them as much as the kids! Super tasty 12/05/2006 at 05:00pm User: Christina from Bloomsburg, PA User Rating: I had my 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter make these with me and they had such a good time doing. Not only that, we all loved them. They were so tasty that we didn't even need a dip for them. I can't believe how easy they are to make too!!! Bland Tasting 12/05/2006 at 06:22am User: Anonymous User Rating: These were easy to make, but very bland tasting. I will make them again but use more or different seasoning. The sauce was very good. Great! 11/16/2006 at 09:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Very tasty and easy to make. My husband and I loved them! Kids Loved it!! 11/14/2006 at 08:47pm User: Kelly from Rochester, NY User Rating: Not only did my kids love it,but my husband & myself did too!It was so easy to make & the honey mustard & bbq mixed together was an awesome dip! Definetely a new family favorite! Changed it up because I am lazy... 11/13/2006 at 02:35pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I took this recipe for the first try and used boneless chicken thighs (whole) instead of chopped pieces of breast meat. Also, I made a very dry breading using the corn flakes, bread crumbs, all spice and brown sugar (omitted the oil)and did everything else as planned....PERFECT, kids ate two whole thighs each (when normally they might split one between them) and asked for more - Grown ups made sure there were no leftovers! Our new favorite 11/12/2006 at 05:51pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I watched this show with my two 10 year old boys. We thought it looked good so we made it later that day. They loved it! What they were most entertained by was the little boy on teh show with Rachel, Beachamp. We now call this meal, The Beachamp Special. Seriously. I think this will be one of our stand by recipes! Crunchy Chicken Toes 11/11/2006 at 10:00pm User: LAURA from MOULTRI, GA User Rating: This was a very easy recipe and it tasted sooo good. Family Loved it 11/11/2006 at 11:36am User: Anonymous User Rating: Wow, this is yummy. I have a very picky family and they wanted more. Thanks Delicious 11/08/2006 at 08:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These were so easy to make. I didn't have Cornflakes so I used Rice Krispies instead and they turned out delicious. My husband and 2 kids all loved them. We liked the hint of sweetness to it. The chicken was tender and not dried out. Definitely a keeper. Good Chick 11/06/2006 at 06:42pm User: Anonymous User Rating: yum if there is one word to say about this it is DE-LISH! Man I've neva had chicken like this before and it is fantabulous! YUMMY & Easy 11/04/2006 at 09:26pm User: LYNN from Brawley, CA User Rating: I tried this recipe today for the first time. My picky sons helped out and thought it tasted GREAT! A definate keeper. A FANTASTIC alternative to regular nuggets 08/22/2006 at 02:21pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My kids...ok the parents too...LOVED these! They have a sweet & tangy crunch and are made with real unprocessed chicken. SO much better than anything I could ever buy in a store. Very Delicious! 08/04/2006 at 06:03pm User: Stacy from Las Vegas, NV User Rating: My husband loved this dish and so did my extended family. A+++ Easy and tasty. Kids will go crazy over it. We had a blast making them! They turned out great! We didn't change the recipe at all! yummy! 08/01/2006 at 03:19pm User: Kim from bedford, TX User Rating: I made this with my 4 and 7 yr old and we all loved it. It was very tasty. I ate more than the kids! I'll be making this again. not up to Rachael standards! 06/19/2006 at 09:37pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I find most of Rachaels stuff is great but this was awful. I really did not care for the breading at all it was a strange combination of flavors. really good chicken tenders 05/20/2006 at 03:26pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These are really good and super easy to make! Could be better 05/18/2006 at 12:56am User: Anonymous User Rating: I really enjoyed helping my four-year-old make this, and the chicken turned out really tender. The only problem was the allspice. I'll substitute another ingredient next time we make this. Pretty Tasty 05/10/2006 at 06:55pm User: Erica from Las Vegas, NV User Rating: A fun and easy recipe. They worked fantastic as the centerpiece in my chicken finger salad, but I think the brown sugar made them a little too sweet. Nasty 03/16/2006 at 02:49pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was just disgusting. Chicken toes, Gh? Can't you just talk like a normal person. Will NOT make this again. Yummy!! 03/13/2006 at 11:26pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Just made these tonight with my kids, and they were gone almost as soon as they came out of the oven!! Better than any other chicken toe/finger/nugget we have ever had, especially becase we know what is in it. excellent 02/24/2006 at 11:32am User: Anonymous User Rating: it is easy and healthy Amazing 02/14/2006 at 11:26am User: Violette from Staten Island, NY User Rating: This recipe was so good my husband loved it and wants me to make it many more times!!!! Delicious 02/11/2006 at 11:33pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My friends and I loved this recipe. The brown sugar and allspice give it a wonderful flavor! thanks rachael! Great Comfort Food 01/27/2006 at 03:38pm User: Veronica from Easley, SC User Rating: I can understand how some people might think that this recipe is a little too sweet for their taste, but I have no idea how some might say that it lacks flavor. And if it's a little too sweet for you (though I think it's perfect just the way it is), just use a little less sugar. Anyhow, the bbq/honey mustard sauce goes perfect with this chicken which is so easy to make that even my husband (who's cooking skill is about as high as a 7-year-old's) can cook it! I love this recipe! Tasty and easy 12/11/2005 at 01:24pm User: Denise from Bloomington, IN User Rating: These are so easy and very tasty. Can use for dinner, snacking, pitch in, buffet... The allspice really ads something I L♥VE THIS DISH 11/28/2005 at 06:28pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is by far, like my favorite dish on a Friday, me and my kids all decide to skip school -we are homeschooled and did extra work a day ago- and this was great! It takes just a little long to make... but other then that this is the best dish I think I have had, its sweet its chruncy its tangy, and we didn't have any more dishes left over, yay me! :) I really think you should try this it rocks so much also, after seeing how good that day it was I instead of all spice we tried some of this garlic bread stuff you sprinkle on garlic bread the company that makes it is "Johnnys" it was good but not as great as this thing tasts! this is like heaven, only strangley I guess heaven is inside food, who knew?! also, 2 other things that taste great with this are... Strawberry Sorbet and... Garlic Bread (Here is the link to the bread http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_16239,00.html) so yeah, please try this you wont be disappointed, Im just like an every day person like you not someone who is just trying to get you to buy something or eat something or try something... Im just like you So try this dish :) Great for kids 11/25/2005 at 11:39am User: Lisa from Jupiter, FL User Rating: My 5 yr. old loves to make and eat these with me. They're delicious! WOW 11/19/2005 at 08:47pm User: DJ from Tecumseh, KS User Rating: This recipe ROCKS! We had the best time with it and my Niece ate every bite of "Her" dinner. Thanks so much! Ingredients off 10/12/2005 at 04:53pm User: Janice from Springvale, ME User Rating: The measurements of ingredients was off. The recipe called for 1 1/2 lbs of chicken. I used 1 pound and the same amount of other ingredients. Taste wasn't all there. Ran out of flour and egg. Was fun to make. My 9 year old really enjoyed it. awesome! 10/02/2005 at 04:00pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These chicken nuggets are out of this world. Everyone in my family loves them and they are so simple to make! I really like the addition of brown sugar to sweeten things up a bit. I found that they take a little longer to cook than what it says in the recipe. Awesome 09/27/2005 at 03:18pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My daughter and I made this! It is very kid friendly and fun! Not only that, it was very tasty. Welchwax 09/15/2005 at 12:24pm User: Carol from Yarmouth, ME User Rating: This is a great recipe. My kids ask for it often. My only suggestion would be to bake them on a rack rather than directly on the baking sheet so the bottom gets crisp as well. It's a keeper! pleasently surprised 09/12/2005 at 02:02pm User: Kimberly from Cedar Park, TX User Rating: I was a bit sceptical about the taste of these. But I was pleasently suprised with how different these are. they are a bit sweet but very good. I though my hubby wouldn't really like them but he LOVED them. Thanks Rachel! They were just alright 09/04/2005 at 12:21pm User: Chevonne from Valdosta, GA User Rating: My 1yr. old son and I are picky eaters. I just thought they had no flavor at all. Perhaps marinating the chicken before hand will make all the difference. I wouldn't let this review stop you b/c they were fun to make. Please understand that everyone's taste is different. I would definitely make them again with my own twist. No 09/03/2005 at 08:12am User: Anonymous User Rating: Me and my daughter made this and neither of us thought a lot of it. Crunch, Oven Baked Chicken Toes 09/01/2005 at 06:42pm User: Beth from Cincinnati, OH User Rating: Rachel once again YOU ROCK!! My daughter who is the picky eater, gobbled this up!! She doesn't want me to buy store bought nuggets anymore!!! My boys LOVED them too. Once again, there was nothing left!!!! Thanks for helping take chicken toes to a whole new level. She even LOVED the name too. Keep up the great work!! chicken toes 08/30/2005 at 09:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I haven't tried it yet, just got the recipe. Easy and Good 08/24/2005 at 04:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe was very easy to make-a little messy, but not too bad. My kids liked it. The chicken was very moist inside. I took the leftovers and added red gravy and cheese and had chicken parmesean the next night. A Favorite In My Family 06/21/2005 at 05:55pm User: Rachael from Tarrytown, NY User Rating: The cornflakes on it were delicous and the chicken was pretty juicy as well. WONDERFUL 05/26/2005 at 01:48pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These were great... I used them for a salad with the dressing.. and my husband ASKED me 2 days later to make them again!!!!! Great! Definitely would do it again 05/19/2005 at 06:05pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Super Easy and Good Yum 05/17/2005 at 08:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I really liked this. The chicken came out crispy and delicious. Mixing the oil in the breadcrumbs instead of actually frying is such a good idea - there's no stove mess and so much less oil is needed. Really crafty. Unique Flavor 05/07/2005 at 09:10pm User: Debi from Siloam Springs, AR User Rating: My family loved these chicken toes! However, we were all caught off guard with our first bite. Up until then, all chicken toes had pretty much tasted the same. But this coating flavor is exceptional! You get sweet, salty, spicy all together. They were nice and crunchy and the chicken stayed so moist. I'll be making these again! One of the Best! 04/27/2005 at 12:35pm User: RITCHEY from Easton, PA User Rating: I used chicken legs, thighs and breasts and the taste is excellent and one of my favorite receipes. Even picky eaters like them 04/24/2005 at 12:35pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Kids loved this recipe. Liked the idea of a "secret ingredient" that make these chicken strips/nuggets better than the fast food chains. Yummo 04/22/2005 at 11:19pm User: FAITH from duxbury, MA User Rating: Didn't have tenders so I used two breasts pounded thin. Came out very juicy & tender. Breading was tasty, but not as crunchy as I thought it would be. Dip had too much bite for me, so I used equal parts mayo & mustard with a little honey. Yummo! WOW! 04/18/2005 at 09:19pm User: S from Miami, FL User Rating: For me, food is a place to put sauce and/or dips. I was shocked to find that these quick and easy Chicken Toes didn't even need dip. The chicken was a hit with the whole family. Thank so much for this recipe. I'll use if often. amazing 04/18/2005 at 07:18pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The best oven baked chicken EVER!!!!!!!!! Yummy! 04/11/2005 at 09:50pm User: ALISSA from Ventura, CA User Rating: These weren't as easy to make as I thought they would be... but like all of Rachel's recipes, you have to practice! They were delicious though. Excellent 04/01/2005 at 09:23am User: Mandy from Omega, GA User Rating: Rachel Ray is the best. I love this recipe. Great for all ages 02/28/2005 at 09:28am User: KELLY from glen burnie, MD User Rating: I made this for a party and everyone LOVED it. Perfect to please all guests. Better than expectations! 02/21/2005 at 08:01pm User: LONNA from Newport Beach, CA User Rating: I first made these for a group of kids from 2-12 years old because I wanted to make something they would like without hydrogenated fats like the frozen ones. They loved them, but so did all of the parents including my husband, so they are a regular at my house....and so fast and easy! Fun! 02/02/2005 at 09:50pm User: JULIET from Denver, CO User Rating: My daughter LOVED making these and I must say they were pretty good! A bit sweet with the breading and the sauce (the sauce was way too sweet for me) but as weird as this sounds they were really yummy with yellow mustard, it really cut down on the sweetness. My daughter loved the sauce though and ate a ton! Thanks! LOVE THEM! 01/25/2005 at 07:46pm User: MICHA from Feasterville, PA User Rating: My three year old loves to help with this recipe...we make it a lot. The unexpected ingredients in this chicken finger recipe make it one we all love. Family Friendly 01/20/2005 at 03:54pm User: MELISSA from Arcadia, KS User Rating: I just thought i would let you know that my family loved this recipe. My son and nephews really enjoyed the chicken toes. Thanks, Melissa Messy but delicious 01/19/2005 at 10:32pm User: MARY from Superior, WI User Rating: My six year old enjoyed helping me crush, mix, and dunk. It was a lot more messy than I would have liked, but a big hit. Even my three year old picky eater kept coming back for more. My husband and I enjoyed them as much as our children. Fabulous! 11/18/2004 at 08:20pm User: LEIGH from Ocoee, FL User Rating: I think Rachael has unlocked one of the secrets to the KFC recipe, here. Fun, delicious, fast, and kid-friendly--what more can you ask for? Yummy! 11/16/2004 at 01:44pm User: PENNY from Durand, MI User Rating: This was very tasty and suprisingly juicy! My chicken always turns out dry. My husband (an extremely picky eater) even liked it. This will definetly make our the list of dinner choices a little bit more interesting! tatsy bites 10/26/2004 at 09:45am User: SCOTT from Seattle, WA User Rating: Again, Rachel nailed it, as these are easy and good. Have to admit I made 'em while the kid did her homework though. Everybody is happy! Easy, but overly sweet 10/24/2004 at 03:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe is very easy for kids to make, and my kids actually really liked it. My husband and I, however, found the breading to be much too swet. Great dinner for the whole family! 10/19/2004 at 09:11pm User: MICHELLE from Antioch, CA User Rating: This recipe was very easy and everyone loved it. I will cook this one again. Easy for kids 10/17/2004 at 08:39pm User: KELLY from Charleston, IL User Rating: My sons and I had a great time making these. great! 10/15/2004 at 05:35pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is the first time I've made anything like chicken toes and it was great! I like the crunch and the moistness. I used some cajun seasoning instead of the allspice and yum! I'm 24 and I liked crushing the cornflakes up, too! Easy and fun! 10/14/2004 at 09:34am User: LUCINDA from Gordon, GA User Rating: Wonderful, easy and fun...my 2 boys (10 yrs old, 6 yrs old) loved helping me with these chicken toes. Even the name is fun!! Easy and Great!!! 10/11/2004 at 10:04pm User: SANDRA from Los Angeles, CA User Rating: It was super easy to make and it tasted great!!! Didn't even need the sauce. So flavorful!!!! A Sweet Chicken Treat 10/11/2004 at 06:08pm User: SHARON from Wenonah, NJ User Rating: My kids loved this chicken! After watching Rachel prepare this on TV, my 5 year old daughter wanted to try. She had fun crushing up the cornflakes and mixing the ingredients. We found the thinner the chicken before breading, the tastier it was after baking (more crunchy, sweet breading in each bite). We'll remember to do that next time. Funtastic 10/11/2004 at 03:59pm User: MIMI from Chelsea, MI User Rating: This is definitely a recipe you want your children to do with you. My daughter had so much fun helping and I loved her company. To top it all off, it was delicious. The chicken was tender and even mom and dad loved it. It was quick, easy and fun. I highly recommend it for all you busy moms and dads. We'll be having it again! We had a blast! 10/08/2004 at 11:15am User: Anonymous User Rating: I made these with my six-year-old last night, who generally would prefer his food be put in front of him as a fait accompli than be involved in the cooking process. But once he realized the recipe involved crushing and dunking, he was hooked! By the time we finished the kitchen looked like a hydrogen bomb had hit it, but we were both smiling and had delicious, healthy chicken "toes" for dinner. And as a final touch, we tuned in to Rachael after dinner, and she was preparing the recipe herself with her six-year-old cohort! We had a great time comparing notes. Thanks Rachael! |
