Just awesome!! 07/16/2008 at 11:19pm User: mary from brick, NJ User Rating: Great recipe for a gathering or just for two!! Delicious mussels - perfect for entertaining 07/06/2008 at 09:34am User: Sherri from SatelliteBeach, FL User Rating: I had never made mussels - but saw this on Food Network and decided to give it a try. THE BEST. My husband rated this as a five-star, and any time I tell friends I am making mussels they are sure to come over. It is so easy to prep ahead of time and when ready to serve - 10 minutes and your finished. Oh, don't forget to serve with LOTS of garlic bread for sopping up the juices. Full of flavor without being too rich 04/26/2008 at 11:11am User: Katie from Denver, CO User Rating: This is a wonderfully full-flavored broth, and the mussels make a very nice light meal. I've made mussels in a white wine sauce involving cream. That sauce had a bit of extra depth, but of course lots more calories as well. I would certainly continue to use this recipe, since it has so much flavor and less fat. My mouth is watering just thinking about eating this... 03/16/2008 at 11:05am User: Susan from Robbinsville, NJ User Rating: We've tried a couple mussel recipes and this is our favorite, by far. I used 1/2 tsp. of dried thyme leaves rather than the fresh, and didn't add any salt at the end (only pepper). Make up a big bowl of these mussels, with a nice loaf of French baguette or some ciabatta bread and you've got a meal in itself. OMG this is great! Fab Over and Over (with Steemer Clams!) 01/11/2008 at 08:00pm User: Carmen from Vancouver, WA User Rating: I have made this dish many times with steemer clams, not mussels. It is great and a big eye popper for company, without much work! A very forgiving dish. Enjoy! Almost too good to be true 09/19/2007 at 06:28pm User: Heather from San DIego, CA User Rating: I have made this recipe twice, both times the amounts of ingredients were off, and it was still amazing. I used dried thyme both times as well and it had just the right flavor. This recipe reminds me of the steamed mussels they served at the ultra expensive French place I worked at. The chef there was well-renowned and I can't believe I made something that tasted just like he had prepared it! A Favorite! 04/30/2007 at 01:30pm User: Barbara from Huntersville, NC User Rating: My husband is a big mussels fan and I made this after reading the recipe and it sounded similar to a dish my husband loved on a trip to Savannah. This is a favorite go to recipe. We also enjoy cooking shrimp in the left over broth after the mussels have cooked Fabulous! 04/15/2007 at 06:50pm User: Christine from Ocala, FL User Rating: This was so easy and so delicious! We served it for special company and got rave reviews. Would definitely make it again. Easy and Tasty 03/04/2007 at 11:34am User: IRENE from Schaumburg, IL User Rating: I've been dreaming about the steamed mussels from Carrabas and thought I'd try this. It's my first time in making mussels and this recipe was easy, quick and good. Not quite as good as Carrabas, but a few adjustments in the future should do the trick. It's definitely a keeper. Thanks Tyler Tasty and Easy 12/31/2006 at 10:22pm User: Ron from Washington, DC User Rating: I subbed in Cilantro for the parsley and foundit added a nice fesh touch. They were excellent! Prep time is the killer w/ mussels it takes so long to pick through them. Fantabulous 11/03/2005 at 05:15pm User: Ellie from Saint Petersburg, FL User Rating: We had guests from Europe and I wanted to make something different. This is an outstanding dish to serve with or without pasta. There was nothing but the shells left. Tyler, you are not only adorable but you are a fantastic chef. Thank you so much. Yumm! 10/30/2005 at 09:29am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was truly wonderful - the best part are the wonderful flavours at the bottom of the pan to dip the bread in. Make sure to get very good quality mussels - meaty and fresh, as this is a very light dish... Great simple, tasty meal 10/12/2005 at 04:47pm User: Anonymous User Rating: You'll need a good hearty bread to sop up the delicious soup! Wonderful dish! I will be making this again but not for my immediate family ( no one really cares for mussels but me)and I anticipate good praises. THE BEST!!! 01/18/2005 at 11:21pm User: KATHERINE from Bakersfield, CA User Rating: I've made mussels before, but they've never turned out this good. I was very pleased with the taste and the recipe was simple. The second time I substituted green onion for the leeks and it came out just as good. Wonderful! 01/10/2005 at 02:11pm User: BARBARA from Huntersville, NC User Rating: My husband loves mussels so I thought I would try to do some at home for the first time. I tried this recipe and I hit a homerun with this dish. Even though I am not a hugh mussel fan, I thought this was delicious! It was a simple recipe to follow and the ingredients are readly available. THANKS for a new favorite! Awesome! 01/07/2005 at 01:56pm User: JENNIFER from Westerly, RI User Rating: This recipe was so good I made it twice in one week! A winner! quick, easy & just plain good 12/20/2004 at 08:08pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is such a simple recipe to make and is delicious served with some crusty bread for dunking. Restaurant style at home 10/31/2004 at 05:35pm User: GINEESHA from stamford, CT User Rating: It was perfect... Excellent! 10/26/2004 at 11:37am User: K. from Washington, DC User Rating: I haven't made mussels before and I was surprised how easy it was. I made this as an appetizer for a dinner party this weekend and everyone raved about it. I will say that I think the quantity of mussels called for is a little high. I was cooking for eight and since the recipe was supposed to serve four, I doubled it. Cleaning the mussels, I started feeling like I had too much, so I only cleaned 5 lbs instead of 6. Everyone had second and third helpings, and still we probably had a pound or so left over, so the next time I make this, I'll allow for only 1/2 lb per person, rather than 3/4. But seriously, this rocked. The thyme added so much depth in taste and fragrance and I wouldn?t have thought to do that on my own. Yum! 10/18/2004 at 10:55pm User: DONNA from Fort Plain, NY User Rating: Thank you Tyler. As usual, yum! Your recipes are easy to follow no matter what the show. And always a good choice! I could just taste these mussels before I even made them! Yummy 10/11/2004 at 08:30am User: TANYA from Philadelphia, PA User Rating: I made this recipe and my mussels came out better than those served in most restaurants. Thanks, Tyler!!! So delicious...SO EASY! 10/10/2004 at 10:47am User: JOSHUA from Kellogg, MN User Rating: This was the easiest recipe...they both were from this episode. I am a huge mussel and tuna fan and had no idea how to cook them. This is much cheaper than going to the restaurant to eat them when I can just make them at home! great! 10/07/2004 at 08:52pm User: DENISE from Los Angeles, CA User Rating: in my opinon, it's hard to find a flavorful steamed mussel recipe, but this one is fantastic! i serve it with bread to sop up the broth. definitely will make it again! almost everything i make of tyler florence's food turns out great!
