Awesome!! 09/28/2006 at 07:21pm User: Luth from Tillamook, OR User Rating: I couldn't find the sugar cane, so I used skewers. I added scallops and marinated the shrimp and scallops in the rum sauce for 2 hours, then basted as directed while grilling and it was just incredible!! A side dish of curried rice along with grilled vegetables and it was a supper I will certainly serve to guests!! GREAT 08/23/2007 at 07:53pm User: Anonymous User Rating: EXELLENT YUMMY! 06/25/2006 at 12:13pm User: Wendy from Chandler, AZ User Rating: I have made this recipe several times and it is always a hit. Sugar cane is hard to come by in my state (AZ) so I just used regular skewers and it was fine. I have used this on the beach and at home. Wonderful! Shrimp good, glaze NOT Good! 03/31/2008 at 06:41pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for a bbq this weekend. I had real sugarcane and thought it would be great. However, I found the glaze tasted like cough syrup and ended up dumping it out and making my own. It was the mustard that just didn't belong. Great tasting glaze 01/04/2007 at 11:52am User: David from Indiana, PA User Rating: Such a great paring with shrimp. I used spiced rum instead of dark, which worked well. Be careful how long you cook the glaze, because it will carmelize fairly quickly after it becomes syrupy. Oops. Great recipe overall, though. |
