Fabulous 12/17/2005 at 04:33pm User: Anonymous User Rating: A great way to use up leftovers orzo. But I like this so much I will make the orzo up special for this egg dish. Hits the Spot 12/03/2006 at 05:28pm User: Deanna from Long Beach, CA User Rating: This is a great and EASY dish to make. i used Fettuccine noodles instead of orzo and i used a little bit of Pepper Jack cheese which gave it a little bit of a kick! It was a big HIT. You have to try this! Great! 12/02/2007 at 11:30am User: Donna from saint louis, MO User Rating: I'm eating this right now, LOVE IT! I woke up this morning and wanted something more for breakfast than my usual yogurt and berries. I remembered seeing a rerun of this show and searched for it. Since I had just gone grocery shopping yesterday, I had everything on hand (OK, I used scallions instead of onions). And asit's only for me, I cut back a lot on the amounts, but it is still good!!! Great breakfast to cook easily on a boat 11/27/2007 at 03:50pm User: Robin from Port Orchard, WA User Rating: My husband and I do a lot of boating in the San Juan Islands (north of Washington state). We frequently host six to eight people on board our yacht; this means the wife has to do a lot of cooking. The recipes need to be appetizing and easy. Galley kitchens can be difficult to negotiate, especially while under way. This recipe was so delicious, yet easy to prepare in a cramped space with less utensils, etc. then one would have in a home kitchen. So Yummy! 11/04/2007 at 02:31pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I just made this and it is so yummy. It's so easy and delicious. The only change I made was to put in red pepper instead of asparagus because i didn't have any on hand. Wow, really tasty. The smoked mozzarella and the orzo make the dish! A-MAZE-ING 10/26/2007 at 04:54pm User: Sara from Sierra Madre, CA User Rating: Giada, why are you so great?! Her recipes are usually simple, quick, unique, and don't leave you with a sink full of dishes! This recipe is no exception. I watched her show in the afternoon, and then made it for dinner that night. So very easy, extremely filling, and delicious. I cut the recipe in half, and I also lessened it by one egg (so I used 4). You get protein, carbs, and veggies with this dish! I like that. Oh, I didn't have smoked mozzarella, so I used Jack, and no pancetta on hand, so I used prime cut bacon. Still yummy. Thank you, Giada. You're the best. Great 10/12/2006 at 12:24pm User: Stacy from Lansing, MI User Rating: This is so fast and easy that I can make in the morning before my daughter leaves for school. She has something hot and yummy to start her day. It makes so much that it's great to have for a brunch or anything. We even have this for dinner! breakfast eggs 10/04/2006 at 05:13pm User: Anonymous User Rating: suclent Easy and good 08/29/2006 at 05:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I loved this one! Its easy to prepare, and it tastes really good. Good 08/18/2005 at 09:12pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was really easy to fix and has a million options. I added fresh mushrooms and also use bacon. In Kansas it is impossilbe to find panchetta or smokes mozerella. Here's an easy substitute for smoked mozerella: get regular mozerella and add Liquid Smoke. Brunch Goody 08/15/2005 at 08:22pm User: Marilyn from Carlsbad, CA User Rating: Made this for a Saturday brunch for some friends in from out of town before we went to a professional tennis tournament. We all raved about it. Great flavors, easy to make and different from other brunch classics. I will add this to my favorites and definitely make it again. I didn't deviate from the recipe either. Yummy!! 08/13/2006 at 09:28pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is just delicious. Served this for dinner and my husband and I just loved it. Very tasty! 08/08/2007 at 12:38pm User: Anonymous User Rating: So easy to make and tasty too. The basil was a nice touch. I had leftover orzo and used prosciutto instead of pancetta because that's all I could find. Great Dish for day or night! Good but not spectacular 08/08/2005 at 04:34pm User: Craig from Duluth, GA User Rating: It was tasty, but didn't wow me. Although, in general, I love Giada's recipes. Still the orzo didn't add as much to this recipe as I thought it would. It looked tastier on television. Eggcellent! 08/04/2005 at 12:50pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Right before my son's baseball game late lunch/early dinner. Couldn't get pancetta so asked the deli counter to cut me a 4oz slice of imported prosciutto. Nice smokey flavor of the mozzarella and the crispy prosciutto, crunchy asparagus and smooth texture of the eggs, orzo. I will make again, and again. hearty but that's all 08/04/2005 at 10:36am User: Anonymous User Rating: A very hearty meal, but much much too fattening, which is the only source of flavor for this dish. Not the most creative of her dishes. Delicious and easy 08/03/2007 at 12:02am User: Anonymous User Rating: All the flavors work well together and it's nice to have the crisp asparagus as another great texture in this recipe. carbonara 08/02/2005 at 10:13pm User: Stacey from Franklin Park, NJ User Rating: My husband and I really enjoyed this dish - it reminds me a lot of carbonara. I did not have pancetta, so I substituted bacon with great results. I also left out the cheese since I cannot eat dairy, and it was still excellent. Served with some bruschetta and sliced tomatoes it was a quick, satisfying meal. great breakfast dish 08/01/2006 at 11:25am User: debbie from baltimore, MD User Rating: had alot of eggs to use up & a box of orzo to try. this was a great combo. my kids loved it! A favorite to make over and over 07/26/2007 at 03:43pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is like having breakfast for dinner - Italian style! It is a very tasty and very filling meal, as the eggs are quite heavy. I love the smell of the frying pancetta and onions, and the smoked cheese is divine (I have also used smoke provolone and it works just as well). I don't bother anymore with the asparagus and found it's not really necessary, just if you want some green on your plate. Great 06/15/2005 at 04:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My family loved this dish! Very, very good! 06/10/2007 at 11:02pm User: Amy from Arlington Heights, IL User Rating: This dish was very good and very easy. I made it for dinner and served it with breakfast sausage as my family loves having breakfast for dinner. And this was heartier than plain scrambled eggs. The outer edges of the smoked mozzarella didn't melt completely(if i cooked it any longer the eggs would be over done) and if you got a bite with that in it it was a little too much. But other than that it was fab and everyone loved it. Tasty !! 06/01/2007 at 07:20pm User: LORETTA from trinity, FL User Rating: I made this for dinner and it was fast and easy. thank-you giada! 05/31/2007 at 04:45pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I've been in need of some new ideas for dinner for myself and my 2 yr old son on the nights that my husband is working... this was great!... quick and easy and my son ate every bite! Thank-you! YUM!!! 05/29/2007 at 05:16pm User: KAREN from Edmond, OK User Rating: Made this just now and it's WONDERFUL. Thank you, Giada!! deliciously easy 05/24/2006 at 06:21pm User: tori from derby, NY User Rating: deliciously simple and easy! one of the best 05/24/2006 at 05:09pm User: Jennifer from Pooler, GA User Rating: this dish is so good, nice and hot taste to it. it makes any bad day to good. yumm, yumm 04/27/2008 at 11:59am User: jailyn from clayton, NC User Rating: it is a recipe i made up it is so good here it is made with: 2cupflour 6tablespoonsoil ,2,eggs beaten 2packagesyeast, 1teaspoonsalt 1cupoats 1cupbran, 1cuphotwater. mix ingredients.spoon onto greased cookie sheet.bake at 350f for 25minutes Italian Egg and Pasta Scramble 04/21/2007 at 11:43am User: Anonymous User Rating: It was delicious and easy to make! Italian Egg and Pasta Scramble 04/08/2005 at 05:11pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Delicious..easy to prepare and quick..and the presentation is wonderful. A must try... 03/26/2005 at 07:48pm User: JEFF from Portland, OR User Rating: Sometimes difficult to find pancetta, but worth it when you can. Works well with center-cut bacon, and you can easily scale this recipe as needed. Very tasty, and a wonderful texture with the pasta and egg combination. Very Good 03/19/2005 at 04:25pm User: PATTY from Dana Point, CA User Rating: This is very good but I would probably substitute ham or such for the panchetta as the panchetta is expensive, hard to find and doesn't have enough flavor to make it a must. Delicioso 03/03/2007 at 09:54am User: Jason from overland park, KS User Rating: Fabulous! I make it without the asparagus and use bacon and it is fantastic. I make it all the time now. excellent quick dinner 02/04/2005 at 07:47am User: PAT from Concord Twp., OH User Rating: My family really enjoyed this. It was the first time I used the smoked mozzarella and it was realoly flavorful!!! Will definately make again. This was OK 01/26/2008 at 02:59pm User: Sara from Forest Hills, NY User Rating: It was very bland. I left out the pancetta so that could be why mine lacked flavor. Easy egg dish 01/25/2005 at 03:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This tasted very good, and was relatively easy to make. I had a hard time finding smoked mozarella and pancetta, but I was able to make some substitutions, so it wasn't too bad. It tasted very good, and made a lot of eggs. great 01/23/2007 at 03:03pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe is great as written or with whatever you've got on hand. Today i made it with broccoli and sun-dried tomatoes and it was wonderful! There are so many possibilites! Very good 01/23/2005 at 05:51pm User: Anonymous User Rating: DELICIOUS Waste 01/21/2006 at 11:41am User: Konul from Rochester, NY User Rating: What a waste of time and ingredients! Absolutely horrible. Orzo got glued together by the time everything else was cooked. Nobody in my family liked the taste and texture. I had to dump it into the garbage disposal, and make another meal! "Thanks" a lot. No need to say if I will "EVER" make it again. egg and pasta 01/20/2005 at 01:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: great for lunch or dinner easy to prepare colorful Impressed the family. 01/19/2005 at 04:38pm User: LEANNA from alpine, CA User Rating: My parents were in town and I wanted to do something special for their first morning. It was a hit! My only snag was not being able to find smoked mozzarella and pancetta.I used regular fresh instead and doubled it to 4oz. and replaced the pancetta with good bacon. This would make a wonderful summer supper as well. Very good 01/17/2005 at 05:45pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this tonight and it was very good but a little bland.... Gooood . 01/16/2006 at 03:37am User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy and tasty way to serve eggs. I really enjoyed this recipe.
