A great way to use up leftovers orzo. But I like this so much I will make the orzo up special for this egg dish.

This is a great and EASY dish to make. i used Fettuccine noodles instead of orzo and i used a little bit of Pepper Jack cheese which gave it a little bit of a kick! It was a big HIT. You have to try this!

Great!

I'm eating this right now, LOVE IT! I woke up this morning and wanted something more for breakfast than my usual yogurt and berries. I remembered seeing a rerun of this show and searched for it. Since I had just gone grocery shopping yesterday, I had everything on hand (OK, I used scallions instead of onions). And asit's only for me, I cut back a lot on the amounts, but it is still good!!!

Great breakfast to cook easily on a boat

My husband and I do a lot of boating in the San Juan Islands (north of Washington state). We frequently host six to eight people on board our yacht; this means the wife has to do a lot of cooking. The recipes need to be appetizing and easy. Galley kitchens can be difficult to negotiate, especially while under way. This recipe was so delicious, yet easy to prepare in a cramped space with less utensils, etc. then one would have in a home kitchen.

So Yummy!

I just made this and it is so yummy. It's so easy and delicious. The only change I made was to put in red pepper instead of asparagus because i didn't have any on hand. Wow, really tasty. The smoked mozzarella and the orzo make the dish!

Giada, why are you so great?! Her recipes are usually simple, quick, unique, and don't leave you with a sink full of dishes! This recipe is no exception. I watched her show in the afternoon, and then made it for dinner that night. So very easy, extremely filling, and delicious. I cut the recipe in half, and I also lessened it by one egg (so I used 4). You get protein, carbs, and veggies with this dish! I like that. Oh, I didn't have smoked mozzarella, so I used Jack, and no pancetta on hand, so I used prime cut bacon. Still yummy. Thank you, Giada. You're the best.

This is so fast and easy that I can make in the morning before my daughter leaves for school. She has something hot and yummy to start her day. It makes so much that it's great to have for a brunch or anything. We even have this for dinner!

This was really easy to fix and has a million options. I added fresh mushrooms and also use bacon. In Kansas it is impossilbe to find panchetta or smokes mozerella. Here's an easy substitute for smoked mozerella: get regular mozerella and add Liquid Smoke.

Made this for a Saturday brunch for some friends in from out of town before we went to a professional tennis tournament. We all raved about it. Great flavors, easy to make and different from other brunch classics. I will add this to my favorites and definitely make it again. I didn't deviate from the recipe either.

So easy to make and tasty too. The basil was a nice touch. I had leftover orzo and used prosciutto instead of pancetta because that's all I could find. Great Dish for day or night!

It was tasty, but didn't wow me. Although, in general, I love Giada's recipes. Still the orzo didn't add as much to this recipe as I thought it would. It looked tastier on television.

Eggcellent!

Right before my son's baseball game late lunch/early dinner. Couldn't get pancetta so asked the deli counter to cut me a 4oz slice of imported prosciutto. Nice smokey flavor of the mozzarella and the crispy prosciutto, crunchy asparagus and smooth texture of the eggs, orzo. I will make again, and again.

A very hearty meal, but much much too fattening, which is the only source of flavor for this dish. Not the most creative of her dishes.

All the flavors work well together and it's nice to have the crisp asparagus as another great texture in this recipe.

My husband and I really enjoyed this dish - it reminds me a lot of carbonara. I did not have pancetta, so I substituted bacon with great results. I also left out the cheese since I cannot eat dairy, and it was still excellent. Served with some bruschetta and sliced tomatoes it was a quick, satisfying meal.

This is like having breakfast for dinner - Italian style! It is a very tasty and very filling meal, as the eggs are quite heavy. I love the smell of the frying pancetta and onions, and the smoked cheese is divine (I have also used smoke provolone and it works just as well). I don't bother anymore with the asparagus and found it's not really necessary, just if you want some green on your plate.

This dish was very good and very easy. I made it for dinner and served it with breakfast sausage as my family loves having breakfast for dinner. And this was heartier than plain scrambled eggs. The outer edges of the smoked mozzarella didn't melt completely(if i cooked it any longer the eggs would be over done) and if you got a bite with that in it it was a little too much. But other than that it was fab and everyone loved it.

Tasty !!

Sometimes difficult to find pancetta, but worth it when you can. Works well with center-cut bacon, and you can easily scale this recipe as needed. Very tasty, and a wonderful texture with the pasta and egg combination.

This is very good but I would probably substitute ham or such for the panchetta as the panchetta is expensive, hard to find and doesn't have enough flavor to make it a must.

This tasted very good, and was relatively easy to make. I had a hard time finding smoked mozarella and pancetta, but I was able to make some substitutions, so it wasn't too bad. It tasted very good, and made a lot of eggs.

What a waste of time and ingredients! Absolutely horrible. Orzo got glued together by the time everything else was cooked. Nobody in my family liked the taste and texture. I had to dump it into the garbage disposal, and make another meal! "Thanks" a lot. No need to say if I will "EVER" make it again.

My parents were in town and I wanted to do something special for their first morning. It was a hit! My only snag was not being able to find smoked mozzarella and pancetta.I used regular fresh instead and doubled it to 4oz. and replaced the pancetta with good bacon. This would make a wonderful summer supper as well.
