I saw this on TV and had to try it. I have made it several times and everyone loves it. It is very easy to make although the recipe call for a longer cooking time (I used 27 minutes).

This is one of my favorite deserts, however, it never quite comes out molten. I've tried baking it less, but still can't get the consistency. Regardless, it's still very good - how can you go wrong with chocolate! Add a few rasberries and whipped cream and it's heaven.

Absolutely Wondeful

I couldn't remember the name of these. Were they a cake? No. Pdding? No. After several unsucessful serches, I finally just entered Chocolate. I knew Tyler had made them, but was the recipe from FN Kitchens, etc. I loved these enough to go clear to page 103 of my search to refind the recipe. These are incredible. Next time I might add just a pinch of espresso powder to the batter, but only just to try, because they are WONDERFUL just the way they are.

Help multiplying this recipe?

This recipe is for 4. Does anyone know any modifications I should make if I multiple it to make it for 16? I recall the strict 27-minute cook time from the tv show and am wondering if i should increase that. thanks.

My family watches foodnetwork everyday although I had never ventured into baking, I decided to try this recipe. It was very easy even for me with no experience at all in baking. It came out great, no, excellent. My kids ask me everyday when I am going to make it again. Thanks very much, Tyler.

Chocoholics dream......

Since trying so many of Tyler's other signature dishes i was excited to try this Molten chocolate cake/souffle. It was very easy to put together and it was a real crowd pleaser. I used instant coffee and mixed it into the chocolate/butter mix. I also used small souffle cups to serve. I placed the little cakes in the oven once we started dinner so when dinner was complete, i pulled out the cakes and they looked delish. I let them rest for 1/2 and garnished with a little scoop of french vanilla ice cream right in the middle.... oh my goodness Tyler... They were to die for!! (Tyler -I love you..... will you marry me?)

This is the 4th Molton Lava recipe I have tried and I have to say the worse. I watched the episode that cooked this recipe and when I checked out the recipe it was different than what they reviewed on the show. There was no molton lave pouring from this cake even though I cooked it the 27 minutes as stated on the show. This is the fourth recipe I have tried by Tyler and I have not had success on any of them.

I made these for my mom for Mothers day and they were awesome! They are a new family favorite! I wasn't able to find the instant espresso powder so I just made unsweetened whipped cream and served it topped with stawberries. YUM!

I'm glad that I watched this on TV. The recipe calls for 30-35 minutes in the oven. Tyler was clear on 27 minutes and not a minute more. It was perfect! Any more time in the oven would not have done this desert justice. A perfect Valentine's Day gift for my chocaholic wife.

Sinful!

Forget dinner and go for this to die for dessert. I opted to double the recipe and it came out terrific. My hips won't forget me, but if you love chocolate... this is the one. It is more like a souffle then cake! I was impressed and it was so easy to make !

I am a food and beverage director and a person who loves to cook. This was one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. I made it for my wife for valentines day. This recipe is very easy and you should adjust the cooking time to around 24-26 minutes.

We thought this was absolutely wonderful. I also used the 1/2 t. espresso powder in with the chocolate and butter mixture. Was tempted to add a bit of sugar to the whipped cream/espresso topping, but didn't and was glad I did not. This was soo rich, but will definately have it again!!!!

The recipe was a hit !! The is super super easy to produce with the hardest part being the chopping up of the chocolate so that it melts quicker. Also, be sure your cups are oven safe or you will have a disaster on your hand. Instead of Expresso powder, I used instant coffee. The results are a hot gooey yummy taste treat.

absolutely fabulous
