Great recipe for a warm dinner party 12/02/2007 at 03:11pm User: Carolyn from Duluth, GA User Rating: It's a lot of back and forth to cook this, but it is very worth the while. It was a hit at my last Christmas party, and I plan on doing it again this year. It also makes great leftover soup if all hasn't been eaten in the first few minutes. maryd 09/28/2006 at 09:03pm User: mary from Jacksonville, FL User Rating: excellent fresh vegs. Since there is a fresh spinach scare, I used frozen and it was delicious. a little fussy. awesome 08/17/2007 at 02:50pm User: Randi from Ft. Collins, CO User Rating: This recipe was a bit of work and time consuming, but worth it! I added some sliced bratwurst flavored with a little cayenne pepper and it was great! Definately a keeper. Yummy 08/13/2005 at 08:15am User: LISA from Bloomfield, NJ User Rating: This was labor intensive but delicious. I used some grated Asiago to top it. The following day I served the leftovers (what little there was) over some penne. Summer on a Plate 07/30/2006 at 09:22pm User: DOROTHY from Richmond, VA User Rating: This ratatouille bears no resemblance to the gooey, eggplant-based vegetable stew I once knew. By sauteeing each vegetable separately, Mr. Chiarello has found a way to sustain the integrity of each element of the dish. This recipe is easy and fun to prepare and the results are simply wonderful. Make this as an entree at the peak of summertime, when fresh tomatoes, squash and peppers are abundant--you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Michael Chiarello. the itailian 06/29/2006 at 10:58am User: jessica from Pierre, SD User Rating: i thought that it was all really good the flavors was different for me but i thought it all was wonderful. my family even loved it. Best Ever 05/26/2008 at 08:57pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I will never do Ratatouille any other way. It turned out so well. Frying the veggies seperately made a big difference. They did not get mushy and browned so well. The only thing I did not add to mine was the spinach as I didnt have any. Adding the sauce at the end was perfect too. A great recipe for family and guests.
