Yum 12/13/2007 at 12:52pm User: Gunta from Youngsville, NC User Rating: The meat is delicious and the slaw outstanding. I love this and have made it several times for company. Absolutely delicious 06/07/2006 at 08:46pm User: Lynda from Albuquerque, NM User Rating: The pork couldn't have been easier. I made my own Five Spice rub (I got the recipe online) and it is pretty strong so I only used half the amount the recipe recommends but I think it could have taken the full amount. Either way, the meat is tender and juicy. The cole slaw is also very easy and delicious. I just used a white wine instead of the mirrin but I think the seasame oil is critical and can't be substituted. Also, I ended up finely chopping the apple after a run-in with my grater but it did not adversly affect the taste. Very much a fast, easy, delicious and healthy meal. A keeper. Didn't care for this 05/08/2006 at 05:28pm User: VALERIE from Cypress, TX User Rating: I only did the pork tenderloin, so can't comment on the cole slaw. But the pork was a waste of time. The Five-spice rub didn't do anything for the flavor of the pork. One person flat out refused to eat it, and everyone else felt it was just.... there. To be fair, the pork turned out juicy, but the flavor was nonexistent. Sorry, won't be doing this one again. Finish the whole thing!!! 01/08/2007 at 07:55pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Wow this was fantasic! My husband and I finished the whole bowl of slaw at one seating. I added one tbl of Splenda to the dressing. This slaw was so good we will have it often. |
