Easy and delicious. After the second time I made them, I realized that some times when the pears aren't real ripe, you must bake them longer. But they will get soft

Easy and excellent

I made this for a dinner party 2 years ago. Everytime I have people over, they ask for it. It is extremely easy and fast to make. I put it in a fondue pot and let it simmer even further, which produced even more caramelization for the sugar and everyone went WILD with it. Thanks Giada!

My family loved this recipe especially my daughter who has a sweet tooth. She is 12 yrs. old and loves to cook. It was simple enough that she prepared most of the work. The pears were soft and the sauce was just sweet enough. We will make it over and over.

YUMMY

My husband and brother-in-law thought this was the best dessert they had tasted in a long time, and it is so easy to make. Bosc Pears are now a staple in my house.

Different Pears

I used an Asian Pear for this an the skin sliced some cross hatches in the pear until it hit the skin. This really let the juices soak in and made it much easier to eat. So simple and so tasty

Ok - not great

The sauce was very good - especially when I put walnuts on it to serve it. But, the pears were really too hard to eat as dessert. We had to use a butter knife to cut them with - you shouldn't have to do that for dessert!

Easy, pleasant dessert

Easy to prepare. Good pears would be key. I liked it, but not a lot of pizazz.

This is an excellent recipe. The brown sugar would also be good on baked apples. Be sure and have it with the vanilla ice cream, it is really something else! Good job Giada!

I made this very easy recipe one evening and my family LOVED it! I did add a small snack size box of raisins and it was really tasty. I think next time I may cut back on the apple juice a little, and add rum. Doesn't that sound good. As always Giada comes up with another recipe that is easy and wonderful. I just love her. I wanted to mention that I did get to see her at a movie premier in Franklin, TN a few months ago, and she is just beautiful, and the tiniest little thing I have ever seen.

This is why I love Giada

This recipe is easy, inexpensive and elegant. Special enough for company. I didn't peel the pears, as I love the skin of the fruit. It was still wonderful. I can't wait to try them frozen, as the recipe suggests.
