Wow 11/02/2006 at 10:12pm User: Andrea from long beach, CA User Rating: I din't have the ingredients needed for the salad portion of this meal but the dressing came out wonderful. Used Apple cider vinegar in replace of the sherry vinegar. Will make again. Excellent! 11/01/2006 at 03:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I've made this recipe several times and everyone loves it! I'm not a fan of raw red peppers, so I subsituted roasted red peppers and they were wonderful with the rest of the ingredients. Houston, TX DRESSING WITH A PLEASING BITE TO IT 08/10/2005 at 10:16pm User: ANNE from Seattle, WA User Rating: I OFTEN FIND SALAD DRESSINGS ON THE BLAND SIDE (NOT ENOUGH ACIDITY). THIS ONE HAS A NICE BITE TO IT WITHOUT BEING TOO HEAVY ON THE VINEGAR. I USED A SHEEP FETA WHICH GAVE ANOTHER LAYER OF BRIGHTNESS. I'LL BE USING THIS RECIPE REGULARLY. A salad that wows 07/02/2007 at 11:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this salad as a precursor to an extravagant dinner for my husband's birthday. Little did I know, that salad was our favorite dish! We make it all the time now. Very Italian 05/17/2007 at 09:30pm User: Janet from St. George, UT User Rating: We enjoyed this salad. I used red wine vinegar in place on the sherry vinegar since I couldn't find it anywhere. The oregano and kalamata olives, along with the feta cheese gives this a real Mediterranean flavor. But be careful when adding the dressing to the greens - it is quite strong, but delicious if you don't overdo. lots of flavor 05/08/2007 at 07:31pm User: Natalie from dallas, TX User Rating: I really enjoyed this salad. I used red wine vinegar instead, and added sundried tomatoes instead of bell pepper. The dressing is more than enough, and I didn't use it all. I will definetly make this again. Nice flavor.... 05/02/2005 at 01:46am User: MICHAEL from glendale, CA User Rating: This is a quick and easy salad to make and enjoy. The only thing I changed was the amount of sherry vinegar to 1/4 cup and then I added three tablespoons of Chambord (raspberry liqueur). It was great with a simple mixed green or spinach salad with edible flowers for garnish. |
