We had a German visitor for dinner last night so I made this casserole. He raved at how authentic it was (and ate two HUGE servings). We enjoyed the flavors immensely as well.

I doubled this recipe for an Oktoberfest party and it was hit! Next time I would ommit the potatoes and just add more sausage. Couldn't get enough of this fabulous dish. A few folks who recently went to Munich said that this tasted exactly like the type of food they ate in Germany. Will make again for our yearly Oktoberfest party.

Given the ingredients in this dish, I expected a lot of flavor. It was basically cabbage soup. The sauerkraut had no flavor. The only part I enjoyed with sausage, which was added toward the end and still had its flavor. I won't make this again, and I am disappointed.

The aromatic quality of this fantastic dish teases & pleases your senses from start to finish. I used a 24oz bottle of New Castle Brown Ale to give it a little kick. This is an awesome dish.

What a traditional fabulous meal! I actually took it over to a friends for an NBA playoff game. The flavor was awsome. Don't forget the brown beer!!

Since the Steelers weren't playing this year, more attention was focused on the food. Everyone loved this dish; nothing left. Will make again and again.

This is a great crowd pleaser recipe. Great for buffets too. Very simple to make and tastes better the next day. The more variety the better the flavor. Dish it up and let everyone get a piece of everything. It is amazing.
