my husband and i loved this dish. we decided (since it's spicy) to incorporate it into our meals once per month. it's different and not what i think of when i think of "jerk"...but really good! try it out.

This recipe was good, just a bit over spiced. I would recomend cutting back on the "holiday" spices, i felt like it should be thanksgiving or chirstmas in September.

I followed this recipe for the seasonings. I did pan sautee in a small amount of olive oil w/lid (about 4-5 minutes on each side over medium-high), instead of baking them. These tasted so good & were so tender. They were not at all too salty. For the folks who said it was too salty, remember the recipe says 'lightly' season with the house seasoning & seasoned salt.

I love Paula Deen. I usually love the recipes I have gotten from her. This time I was sadly mistaken. This was just too salty. I ruined a good package of pork chops. I repeat DO NOT USE THIS RECIPE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The house seasoning is meant to make a lot so that you can store what you don't use for future use. You don't put the entire contents in the recipe! That would be disasterous! This also goes for the jerk seasoning. You don't use all of it. Just sprinkle it on the meat. Save the rest for future use. Paula should have this comment on her seasoning recipes.

This recipe is Way Salty! Salt in the house seasoning and salt in the Jerk seasoning. Too much of a nutmeg flavor also.

I did not care for the flavor of the Jerk Spice on the pork. The spice blend seems more appropriate for a Fall potpourri mix than a meat seasoning. This one will get deleted from my recipe files.

The pork chops were really juicy and tender. I agree that there is way too much salt. I think next time I would just use the Jerk Spice and add the pepper. Love your show!
