Brownie 12/27/2006 at 03:52pm User: Anonymous User Rating: It was easy and great. Scrumptious!! 12/18/2006 at 09:00am User: Janet from Sterling, VA User Rating: These were the best brownies EVER. Followed the recipe exactly, adding 2 cups morsels to the water/butter/sugar mixture. I cooked the mixture for quite a while, stirring the whole time until the sugar was completely disolved, what a difference it made in texture! Hats off to you Kathy! Great!! 12/14/2006 at 04:46pm User: val from pickerington, OH User Rating: I made these for a pot-luck. Everyone really enjoyed them!! I may even add larger chocolate chunks next time for a richer flavor. I even thought of adding a few dashes of espresso!! YUMMMM!!! needs to cook longer! 11/25/2006 at 06:11pm User: Amy from New York, NY User Rating: These brownies taste great, but as noted in other reviews, you need to cook much longer than stated. I pulled mine at 40 minutes on the advice of some reviewers, and the middle is still soggy. I'd say it might even need an hour at 350, or maybe I need to bump the temp to 375. I only used two cups of choc chips, and it tastes plenty chocolately. Best brownie recipe ever! 09/27/2006 at 05:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Chewy with a nice crunchy top. Good taste, bad texture 09/19/2007 at 09:22pm User: Janita from Scott, AR User Rating: These brownies are very chocolatety, but the texture is more like a lava cake than a brownie. Even before baking, I noticed the batter was far too thin. I think the amount of flour needs to be adjusted. The only way to get a solid consistency is to cook for at least 40 min., but I think even the timing should be adjusted to possibly 50 min. to an hour at 350 deg. This is not a good recipe. Too Cakey 09/14/2007 at 09:26pm User: Courtney from providence, RI User Rating: This recipe was good, but the brownies turned out more cakey than I like. They still had good flavor though. I added toasted walnuts which were a nice addition. Maybe less eggs would make them less cakey? great 08/20/2007 at 12:25pm User: Anonymous User Rating: really wonderful thomdenn 07/23/2006 at 09:05am User: thomas from browns mills, NJ User Rating: soft had them warm the only way brings out the smooth chocolate Been looking for a recipe like this 06/24/2005 at 04:38pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Very easy, I'm no baker so this was my kind of recipe. Fudgy center, crispy crust on top. Perfect sinful brownies 06/18/2007 at 09:13am User: T from Fairfax, VA User Rating: Easy to make. Baked in a 9 x 9 pan for about 7 minutes longer. Best brownies. Crunchy on the outside. Smooth on the inside. Very, very hard to eat only one. Kathy Fauldings Brownies 06/11/2006 at 12:13pm User: Susan from Cary, NC User Rating: The recipe looked really good, but I've now learned to read reviews prior to executing. Unfortunately, I followed recipe and they we extremely gooey, overflowed in my oven and started a small fire in it - yikes! I'm not going to give up though, will try again and cook in a larger pan for 40 minutes as others suggest. SO GOOD!!! 05/16/2006 at 01:58pm User: Rosanna from Arlington, VA User Rating: These are GREAT! I agree with the other reviewers. I let them bake for 40 minutes and they came out PERFECT!!! FUDGALICIOUS 05/15/2007 at 11:53pm User: DAWN from BEL AIR, MD User Rating: COOKED FOR 40 MIN, AS REVIEWERS SUGGESTED. ONLY HAD ONE CUP OF SUGAR, SO USED THE ONE CUP PLUS 24 PACKETS OF SPLENDA. I THINK I SAVED A FEW CALORIES AND DID NOT SACRIFICE TASTE/ I DON'T THINK I WOULD REDUCE THE SUGAR MORE THAN A CUP, THOUGH. I ALSO USED MINI CHOC CHIPS, WHICH MELT EVEN FASTER! IT TURNED OUT WONDERFUL. WHAT A GREAT MIDNIGHT SNACK WITH INGREDIENTS YOU HAVE IN THE FRIDGE AND CUPBOARD. I ALWAYS KEEP CHOCOLATE CHIPS ON HAND, ALWAYS! gooey mess 04/10/2008 at 06:02pm User: Anonymous User Rating: batter to thin, created a gooey mess, needs more flour added. Quick & Easy 04/01/2008 at 12:47am User: Danielle from Stockton, CA User Rating: This recipe is so simple and quick that it has now replaced the stand-by of box brownies. Chocolate Heaven! 03/24/2006 at 02:06pm User: Anonymous User Rating: These are delicious! I had to cook them about 40 minutes for them to be firm enough to get out of pan in any solid form. They are wonderful and make a large quantity - Some for friends and some for us! This is the best brownie for Chocaholics! 01/27/2006 at 01:12pm User: LESLEY from Antioch, IL User Rating: It is gooey, it is chocolaty, its it crunchy on top! And put some vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and caramel, and you have the best brownie sundae EVER! Suggestion...bake it a little longer. 30-40 minutes is better. 25 minutes and you have a pile of goo. |
