These were the best brownies EVER. Followed the recipe exactly, adding 2 cups morsels to the water/butter/sugar mixture. I cooked the mixture for quite a while, stirring the whole time until the sugar was completely disolved, what a difference it made in texture! Hats off to you Kathy!

Great!!

I made these for a pot-luck. Everyone really enjoyed them!! I may even add larger chocolate chunks next time for a richer flavor. I even thought of adding a few dashes of espresso!! YUMMMM!!!

needs to cook longer!

These brownies taste great, but as noted in other reviews, you need to cook much longer than stated. I pulled mine at 40 minutes on the advice of some reviewers, and the middle is still soggy. I'd say it might even need an hour at 350, or maybe I need to bump the temp to 375. I only used two cups of choc chips, and it tastes plenty chocolately.

Best brownie recipe ever!

Good taste, bad texture

These brownies are very chocolatety, but the texture is more like a lava cake than a brownie. Even before baking, I noticed the batter was far too thin. I think the amount of flour needs to be adjusted. The only way to get a solid consistency is to cook for at least 40 min., but I think even the timing should be adjusted to possibly 50 min. to an hour at 350 deg. This is not a good recipe.

Too Cakey

This recipe was good, but the brownies turned out more cakey than I like. They still had good flavor though. I added toasted walnuts which were a nice addition. Maybe less eggs would make them less cakey?

Very easy, I'm no baker so this was my kind of recipe. Fudgy center, crispy crust on top.

Easy to make. Baked in a 9 x 9 pan for about 7 minutes longer. Best brownies. Crunchy on the outside. Smooth on the inside. Very, very hard to eat only one.

The recipe looked really good, but I've now learned to read reviews prior to executing. Unfortunately, I followed recipe and they we extremely gooey, overflowed in my oven and started a small fire in it - yikes! I'm not going to give up though, will try again and cook in a larger pan for 40 minutes as others suggest.

SO GOOD!!!

FUDGALICIOUS

COOKED FOR 40 MIN, AS REVIEWERS SUGGESTED. ONLY HAD ONE CUP OF SUGAR, SO USED THE ONE CUP PLUS 24 PACKETS OF SPLENDA. I THINK I SAVED A FEW CALORIES AND DID NOT SACRIFICE TASTE/ I DON'T THINK I WOULD REDUCE THE SUGAR MORE THAN A CUP, THOUGH. I ALSO USED MINI CHOC CHIPS, WHICH MELT EVEN FASTER! IT TURNED OUT WONDERFUL. WHAT A GREAT MIDNIGHT SNACK WITH INGREDIENTS YOU HAVE IN THE FRIDGE AND CUPBOARD. I ALWAYS KEEP CHOCOLATE CHIPS ON HAND, ALWAYS!

Chocolate Heaven!

These are delicious! I had to cook them about 40 minutes for them to be firm enough to get out of pan in any solid form. They are wonderful and make a large quantity - Some for friends and some for us!

This is the best brownie for Chocaholics!

It is gooey, it is chocolaty, its it crunchy on top! And put some vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, and caramel, and you have the best brownie sundae EVER! Suggestion...bake it a little longer. 30-40 minutes is better. 25 minutes and you have a pile of goo.
