I made the chicken with boneless, skinless thighs. My husband ate 4 of the 8 I made! We LOVED the delicious marinade, though I used 1 tablespoon of hot sauce instead of 2(knowing that Rachel likes her food way too hot for us). It was easy and company quality. We didn't make the meat or salad, just the chicken with rice and veg. Try this one!

I doubled the amount of the last dressing. My hubby likes wet salads. Also, we used a package of 'Mediterranean blend' lettuce as opposed to the watercress. Will make again, though it took longer than 30 minutes

User: Stephanie from Jasper, AL    User Rating:
I made extra of the marinade and was able to let the meat hang out in the fridge for an hour. It has a nice spicy kick to it. I also made extra dressing with the addition of the dijon mustard. My husband didn't care for the dressing. He thought it was too tart. I also could not find watercress so I used a little spinach. It was very filling! Rachael never lets me down!

I made this for opening day of football season. I will say that once my guest were convinced it was okay to mess up the presentation, everyone loved it. I was disappointed that I didn't have any leftovers though. If you are looking for something not so standard to serve at a gathering, I highly suggest this salad. The extra meat will alleviate any worries about serving a "salad."

A lot of meat

The dressing was amazing. It is a lot of meat on the salad though. I would recommend just using one meat preferably the steak!

Great marinade flavoring!

User: Tami from Columbus, OH    User Rating:
Loved the marinade flavoring on the meats! The only downfall, for me personally, about this meal, was that it took longer that 30 minutes. The flank steak (which I cooked on my opened George Foreman)took about 25 minutes to cook as opposed to the 7 on each side that the recipe suggests. Maybe it was just my grill...maybe it was the thickness of the steak...I'm not sure but I was disappointed that it took so long. As far as the taste goes, this meal was FABULOUS!

I found this recipe just ok. While almost every single one of Rachael's recipes are awesome, this one did not stack up. I thought it was messy and complicated (time-consuming) for what it was. The marinade didn't have as much flavor as I thought it did, and I marinated it for over an hour. Also as others mentioned the dijon mustard was left out of ingredients, which was a key ingredient in the dressing. My steak didn't turn out very well, I think I cooked it too long (my bad). I don't think I'll make this again.

AFTER WATCHING THE SHOW, I JUST HAD TO TRY THE RECIPE. I HAD EVERYING ON HAND EXCEPT WATERCRESS AND SUBBED FINELY CHOPPED ROMAINE. I MARINATED THE FLANK STEAK FOR SEVERAL HOURS IN THE FRIDGE BUT ONLY DID THE CHICKEN FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES IN THE FRIDGE. MY HUSBAND GRILLED THE MEATS AND WE LET THEM REST, COVERED WITH FOIL FOR 20 MINUTES OR SO. THE COBB SALAD IS SO YUMMY, WE'RE SERVING IT TO GUESTS NEXT WEEK ALONG WITH A SHRIMP, SPINACH, FETA CHEESE, KALAMATA OLIVE DISH.

User: HOLLY from Chicago, IL    User Rating:
Not only the best salad I have ever made, but also one of the best I have eaten. I am never a fan of the mustard dressings she likes, but that is another story. The salad is great and well worth the work. Also, the receipe appears to be wrong. On the show she used 1 and half lemons and two tablespoons of mustard not blue cheese - thanks to TIVO I was able to confirm before making wrong dressing.

I made this marinade using balsamic vinegar, as I was out of the wine vinegar, and marinated a round steak for a couple of hours in the fridge, then grilled. The steak was so good that I had to try the chicken. I used the wine vinegar and marinated boneless chicken breast overnight before grilling. Fantastic! Both the steak and chicken were tender, tasty and not spicy hot. Thanks Rachael!
