And my problem with Ina's margarita recipes are that she puts equal parts tequila and triple sec. I think Triple Sec should only be a supporting player in a margarita. I love the idea of using blood oranges instead of limes once in a while but I'd half the juice and triple sec in the recipe and forget the lemon juice.

This drink was delicious. The only variation I made was to use 1/2 cup of triple sec. Definitely a favorite.

These Margarita's are horribly strong. It seems that the measurements may be off. Nevertheless, I wasted alot of tequila and other ingreadients on this recipe.

Yes, it is "strong", but have you not mixed drinks before? If a recipe calls for more liquor than you are used to, cut back. You can add more, but can not seperate it once added! Also, if you've ever been to the Hamptons, the ice is clinking by 3 and the richies love a strong drink! Bravo, Ina! Blood oragnes were beautiful.

This drink has way too much alcohol. I added a ton of orange juice and it finally came out tolerable. I guess Ina likes those strong drinks!
