Chicken is very tender I didn't add the thyme or rosemary because i caught the receipe late but it still came out great.. I'm looking forward to trying this again

I made this dinner with chicken breasts, very easy to make, but flavorful all the same. A big hit. Prepared with things made only in the pantry, good even with the dried parsley I substituted for the fresh parsley. I will certainly be making this again.

Love this recipe. I love rosemary and chicken together! The Parsley Lemon Juice Oil adds a nice finish to the dish, especially if you're entertaining. I made this recipe for a Tuscan Party with the basil chive mashed poatoes. Needless to say, everyone devoured the meal!

Made this for the family last night and got rave reviews. My husband loves my whole roasted chicken but I didn't have enough time for that. Noticed that Dave's ingredients were similar to what I use in my whole chicken, so I tried this thinking it'd come "close enough." I was surprised by how juicy the chicken was and how flavorful every piece was, as opposed to the dark meat not getting as full a flavor as the breast, which is usually the case when I roast a whole chicken. It was good with the drizzle but just as good without! Love it!

The best!

This was a light and flavorful chicken dish with alot of fragrant fresh herbs. I broiled it for the last 5 minutes to crisp the skin. It can be marinated overnight and baked while your company is having appetizers. Simple but delicious - I would rate it a 9 or 10. I am not sure there is a need for the parsley oil. I think if you put the lemon juice in with the rest of the ingredients and put the fresh parsley on at the end, you can eliminate the oil. I will try it that way next time.

Excellent fresh herb roasted chicken. Be careful on the lemon juice sauce making sure not to put too much lemon in it as it will become overbearing.

My husband and I are avid fans of the food network, although we had yet to watch an episode of Dave's. But we finally tuned in and decided we'd give this one a go, since we're always buying buying those rotisserie chickens that are already prepared at our local grocery. I used bone in / skinless chicken. After marinating for about 2 hours, the flavors came together so nicely. The aromas that filled the kitchen, while the dish was roating, was enough to get anyone in the mood for some finger licking chicken. And best of all, I didn't even need to use the drizzle!

This was easy to make, tasty, and fairly healthy. Not out-of-this-world, but worth trying again and modifying the seasonings. Especially since it was so affordable and easy to prepare ahead of time. Some people mentioned "crispy" skin, but mine barely even got a tan color to it. Any tips?

SO I went with the bone on and skin on chicken, but It really almost made it to hard to enjoy the lemon oil sauce. Go with the boneless skinless chicken. The plate also looked a little bare, so I added some fresh steamed green beans to really send this American meal home. Otherwise great dish. The herbs will linger in your home for days. Really great. Gio

This looked so good on the show, I had to try it. Both my husband and I were VERY pleased with the results. I went really light on the parsley lemon juice oil...didn't want to wreck that nice, crispy, brown chicken skin! The herbs made the chicken very flavorful. Leftovers were great sliced over a salad the next day.

Roast Chicken w/Parsley Lemon Juice Oil

User: Margherita from North Babylon, NY    User Rating:
It was simple and delicious. Wish I had a serious kitchen. I had to turn my oven on to 425 degrees. My mother made the parsley, olive oil, & lemon juice for all kinds of roasts, & steaks on barbeque. The difference was by adding garlic. I loved it without garlic. We were able to speak to one another after dinner.

Great Chicken

User: JENNIFER from Downers Grove, IL    User Rating:
This chicken is so great. This is my kids favorite dish. I make it atleast once a week. I find that if you prepare the chicken earlier in the day and let it marinate, it provides a much more flavorful chicken. I have made it with boned chicken and with boneless and both are exceptional. I usually serve it over fettucine with steamed broccoli. The lemon/parsley makes a great dressing for the pasta and broccoli.

This is unbelievable!

User: DIANE from West Haven, CT    User Rating:
I made this tonight after doing some running around with my teenage daughter and her friends. I was in a hurry to make something quick for dinner. I couldn't believe that one of my daughters 15 yr. old friends liked it so much that he asked me for the recipe! That was the first time any of my children's friends has EVER asked me for a recipe. I was shocked! I didn't even make the parsley drizzle. I just made the chicken using thighs, and served it with packaged alfredo noodles and microwaved steamed broccoli. I think it was the quickest dinner I ever made, and everyone loved it! Thanks Dave! This is one I won't forget! LOL!

Definitely a repeat performance

I just made this recipe and fed 6 adults and a hungry toddler with under $4 worth of chicken...plus we had leftovers! Unbelievable! I bought already-cut-up Amish chicken on sale for $.99 a pound, a package of "poultry herbs" for $2.50 and a sprig of parsley. Dave means business with the title "Good Deal"! The chicken was really tasty and moist...and healthy too! A good recipe to add to the mix.

The recipe is simple, but my family just didn' care for it. I would recommend going very light on the olive oil when drizzling it on the chicken before cooking, and definitely making a half of a batch of the parsley/lemon/oil mixture. I think that there was just too much EEOV and chicken skin involved for their liking.
