Down South 09/12/2005 at 10:39pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was a great one! Nice and spicy and easy to make for a weekday dinner, tomato jam and all. The herbed yogurt was a nice cooling touch. Will be making this one again. Thanks Bobby! Awesome Tandoori Recipe 08/30/2005 at 11:19pm User: Angela from Clovis, CA User Rating: This is so yummy. And I found out if you don't have fresh mint a teaspoon of dried is yummy, too! We didn't have the Pita either. We had it on opened faced drilled ciabatta bread. A hit with the hard-to-please husband! Odd combo tastes great 08/30/2005 at 06:59pm User: TAMMY from Telford, PA User Rating: Made this for dinner tonight and we thought this recipe was really good. The spice mixture is quite hot but the herbed yogurt tames it down some and the tomato jam just adds a whole different dimension. I will surely be making this again sometime. Destined to become a favorite 08/15/2006 at 12:50pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Don't let the number of ingredients fool you - this is a simple and fast recipe. My husband and I enjoyed this so much, it's one of those recipes I know I will get cravings for when I haven't made it in a while. A few modifications: I grilled the tomatoes in the oven (sliced in half, drizzled with oil and cooked at 500 for 20 minutes) till charred. I think they are sweeter that way, I omitted the cayenne pepper b/c I was out, and used fresh ground black pepper instead. You have to try this!!! Yummy 08/10/2007 at 01:20pm User: Melinda from Hunington Beach, CA User Rating: I tried this with a low carb tortilla and it was very good. Hubby liked it as well.. cheryl l austria 08/01/2007 at 09:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: yummy is an understatement. Great flavors. All work wonderfully together. Quick and easy. Add a salad and you are done. Really Great-Use Less Spices 07/23/2007 at 05:17pm User: K. from Hixson, TN User Rating: This is great but you don't need "Tablespoons" of spices-Use teaspoons instead and it's more than enough spice mix. Spices are expensive! The tomato jam is wonderful but I added 1 T. honey and it really gave some richness to the sauce. I omitted the cilantro (yuk!) and used 2 T. dried minced onions and the mint and it was wonderful. Thanks, Bobby!!! great grilled chicken 07/15/2007 at 09:44am User: Wendy from Camp Hill, PA User Rating: We eat a lot of chick and get tired of the same old, this is very easy and company good One of our Favorites 06/28/2007 at 05:09pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is one of my favorite recipes! It will be made a lot at my house!! Spiceny Good 06/24/2006 at 08:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy and tasty. The chicken was a little tough...I might tenderize next time but would definately make again Very good and pretty easy 05/12/2008 at 07:02pm User: Kristin from Elk Grove, CA User Rating: We make this recipe frequently and love it. The key to the tomato jam is to let it simmer for awhile -- at least a half hour. I shortcut it by using a 28-oz can of whole tomatoes. Both the chicken and the tomato jam tend to be pretty spicy, but the herbed yogurt cools things down. We use regular plain yogurt for the herbed yogurt, and we don't do the pita breads. Awesome recipe 04/30/2006 at 08:23pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This turned out excellent. A couple of things I did differently--I used everyday yogurt (who has Greek yogurt?), used a Jalapeno instead of a Seranno pepper, and cooked the salsa on the stove. The sauces really make the dish. I suppose you could eliminate or reduce the Cayenne to make it less fiery. Excellent dish I will make again. sadly disappointed 04/21/2008 at 12:13am User: Anonymous User Rating: I expected much more from five stars and Bobby Flay. surprisingly disappointed. tandoori more 04/05/2008 at 06:13pm User: nathias from lansford, PA User Rating: i thought is was easily prepared , the taste was absolute , only problem was my location the greek yogurt itself was a bit to find had to travel average 50 miles to get it at a wegmans but worth the trip bobby your the man many thanks Delicious 04/03/2008 at 05:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Superb recipe. Unbelievable flavors. Flavorful 03/21/2006 at 04:53pm User: JOANNE from Shirley, NY User Rating: Not fast, but easy. Lots of parts to put together, but I'd make just the tomato 'jam' again if I had little time b/c it was delicious on its own. Would go great on top of bruschetta. The name 'jam' is a turnoff until you taste it, not sweet at all--just delectable. I couldn't find Greek yogurt, used plain instead. yum 03/19/2006 at 05:29pm User: amy from black mountain, NC User Rating: this recipe was easy and delicious. my husband raved about it and we ate it 2 meals in a row. i even left the mint out of the yogurt sauce and it was still delicious. horrible... 03/11/2008 at 11:51pm User: soo from danville, CA User Rating: im sorry but this was not edible & we had to toss it~ we ended up just eating our naan for dinner (how terrible) i was so upset after following the recipe exactly (except i rubbed the spice on both sides of the chicken instead of one side & used less chicken since it was for just two of us) it was soooo spiced up & just not good at all. i wasted my time, energy & ingredients on this one will NEVER make this one again~ in fact i am removing it out of my recipe box. |
