The coolness of the ice cream and warmth of the poached pears is decadent. Don't skip the ginger or the cinnamon, yumm-o!

This simple dessert was a hit for the adults and the kids. I didn't allow the pears to get soft enough, because it was my first time and I was afraid of poaching them too long. Next time, I'll go the full 12 minutes. Great alternative to pie!

I really enjoyed this dessert, but you do have to watch the pears so they don't become pear sauce. Depending on how ripe your pears are before you cook them. I really found this an easy refreshing treat. My friends and I give it a big YUM!!!
