Who knew that cooking such a fancy meal could be so easy. The hardest part was finding the Pate! They were a big hit.

I must admit I really don't know how to cook, however, I gave this recipe a try against my friends advise. Not only was this recipe not to complicated but it was absolutely delicious. My guests definately raved of the meal. Everyone must try this one.

This wellington rivals any that you'd get in a fine restaurant. If you don't like pate, leave it out. Delicious!

Really rich

This is a very rich recipe. It was very easy and delicious, but 6 oz. is too much.

My neighbor has asked for the recipe

This was a taste of heaven. Twenty years ago when I made Beef Wellington I followed an old English recipe. It was tough and had very little flavor. That recipe had called for a london broil stead. So, I was a bit aphrehenisve when making this dish. It was delightful. My neighbors son joined us for dinner that night and the following day I was asked for the recipe. My entire family loved this dish.

The dinner guests cleaned their plates and were asking for more. The recipe was easy to follow - if a little time consuming. But all in all a great meal was had by all.

A total hit!

This recipe was a total hit! And super easy too! Made the Mushroom Duxelles a few hours ahead and the rest was so easy to prepare as guests arrived. Had dinner on the table in twenty minutes ? start to end. Made this recipe sans the liver but the flavors from the Mushroom Duxelles made up for it Big Time in my opinion - really infused into the meat. So tasty and really brought me back to the days of my Mom's dinner parties. Served this with a bearnaise sauce (the way my Mom used to serve it) and sides of rosemary roasted baby red skinned potatoes and steamed asparagus. Will definitely do this again!

This was an excellent dinner. My guests were amazed that I could cook this. I was reading some of the reviews and someone mentioned marchand de vin. Where was this in the recipe. Did I miss something

I made the Mushroom Duxelles a day ahead to save time. This was also my first try at making the suggested Marchand de Vin which was out of this world delicious! Couldn't tackle making demi glace from scratch but I did find a very good one at Whole Foods (worth every penny of the price). Sorry to say I skipped adding the pate but my Wellingtons were excellent none the less. Cooking times are accurate; don't overcook for MR. Next time I will try baby portabellas instead of button mushrooms. Six stars!

I got this recipe and couldn't figure where I would get the chance to try such a sumptous meal out, but my friends had a birthday and asked me to cook their favorite meal, which just happened to be Beef Wellington for thier B-day dinner. I made them in advance and baked them at their house and when the food came out of the oven all 8 guests couldn't believe how beautiful these pastries were and when they were done eating I got so many compliments that I was so Happy that I have Emeril and the foods network behind me, my friends think I'm just the best cook they have ever met and I have to say that this meal was the most tasty and oppulent that I have prepared so far, it is definitely my favorite, bar none. Thanks Emeril and friends for a wonderful experience. Joanne V.

I tried this for the first time last night and they came out perfect! I didn't do the mushrooms and pate thing, but did wrap the steak in bacon and topped with sauteed onions. AWESOME! The steak was done to perfection and the crust was golden brown and very tasty.

I love beef wellington but in the past I've always been scared to make it. I'm glad I finally did and chose this recipe because it was fairly easy and the results were fantastic. One change I made was that I used red wine instead of white and accompanied the beef with a red wine sauce. I will definitely use this recipe again.
