This was a wonderful and simple meal. Instead of potatoes, I used spaghetti noodles and served the sauce on that. Topped it with parmaesan cheese. I did cook my pork chops a little longer as they were too rare. I followed the directions exactly and the seasoning was perfect, just a litte zap from the red pepper flakes.

This was absolutely delicious. The flavors were wonderful together. I added the pork chops right back in with the sauce at the end and simmered them for 15 minutes. This added more flavor to the chops and made sure they were cooked through. I made the Italian Chopped Salad from the same episode and some baked potatoes to have on the side. What a great dinner!

Made this dish the same night I saw it on your show. Since I had all the ingredients on hand it was a no brainer! My husband who is a very picky eater really loved this one. When he says I can make this again I know it is a winner!! I also made the mashed potatoes with mozzarella and parm. Wow what a great flavor. The only comment I have to make is that the breadcrumbs didn't brown so I put the casserole under the broiler for a few minutes. You rock Giada!!!! Every dish I have ever made of yours has been a hit.

I cooked the pork at medium high heat... and it came out perfectly... I would caution on the potential use of too much red pepper... the amount called for in the recipe packs a nice punch...

The sauce was delicious! Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to cover the fact that the pork itself still didn't have any flavor to it whatsoever. And I made sure to add a generous portion of salt and pepper before I started cooking them. I'll likely use the sauce in another dish, though!

I made this recipe with pork tenderloin sliced into 1" thick medallions rather than the pork chops and it was perfection. The spices are just right, no need to add more red pepper flakes in my opinion. I served this with brown rice and french cut green beans and it was an excellent dinner. Highly recommended.

I knew the pepper flakes would be too much for the kids so I made two seperate pans of it. My husband and I like spice so I added extra to ours. I used the diced tomatoes with garlic and basil in addition to the herbs. I used some dry and some fresh from the garden. My husband LOVED it.

I followed the recipe to the letter yet it just didn't come out as I had expected. It basically tasted like porkchops with canned tomatoes poured on top with a little spice....Why everyone gave it 5 stars???? I have tried many many many recipes from different shows and most don't come out as good as the hosts say they taste! Bad cook...I don't think so because any recipe I follow from friends or family or other cookbooks come out GREAT! I think it is a lot of oooohhhs and aaaahhhs on tv with pretty lighting and a good looking host that I have actually seen cringe when tasting her rasberry blender concoction....the only recipe that I have actually liked from giada is her italian egg scramble...other than that I pass.

I have made many, many of Giada's recipes and they have all been winners!! This is another addition to that group. Simple, juicy and delicious and not to long to prepare,(although I did have to cook the pork long than she suggests due to the 1 1/2 inch thickness of the chops. I have already passed it on to others.

I have not had this dish in well over 30 years! I was thrilled to see Giada put a new spin on one of my late Mother's favorites. I prepared it the very next day after seeing her show and it was fast, easy and fabulous! It barely made it from the stove to the table before my family tore into it.

Loved the sauce but the pork chops were disappointing. They were not real moist and a bit chewy..I used the meat thermometer but maybe the chops were in too long after I returned them to the sauce. I added 2 cloves of garlic to the sauce (love garlic)and used fresh basil instead of fresh parsley (that was what I had on hand). I'll try this again but next time I'll brine the chops first or maybe use sliced pork tenderloin instead.

I added white wine and lots of garlic (about 4 cloves). I also decided to replace chopped tomatos with crushed. This recipe is amazing!!! I love Giada's ideas!!

Very good recipe. Simple flavors but they work suprisingly well with the pork chops. I would suggest using San Marzano tomatoes. They bring this recipe to another level.

This dish was very good. I made some alterations though, like some others did. The sauce was very chunky, so maybe next time i will use crushed tomatos instead of diced. I also deglazed the pan with an italian red wine and added garlic. It turned out very well.

Excellent tasting recipe. Added green peppers, sliced and cut into medium size pcs., and sliced fresh mushrooms. Didn't cook chops thoroughly in the oil but instead finished cooking while simmering in sauce. Let sauce and chops simmer much longer than 15 min. Adding peppers and mushrooms may require adding an additional can of diced tomatoes.

Very simple and a great payoff. Look for lean cuts of pork loin, or go with a little more weight - some have found this not filling with a well-veined 12oz chop.

I made them last night for my husband and I and they came out delicious. We like spice so I added a little extra red pepper to give it a kick! I also put the pork chops in the sauce to simmer together the last 10 minutes so the pork chops would absorb the flavor....they came out great. Added a side dish of couscous....mmmmmm!

We enjoyed this very much. I used rib chops that were thinner than the recipe called for, but they still turned out well. I boiled some pasta to accompany this and it was a fun twist on our usual pasta night. Very quick and easy. We'll make it again.

i'm not used to the one inch cuts they do in america for the meat, so i asked the butcher to halve the pork chop. the cooking time (3min. on each side) made it perfect, not chewy at all. plus, you get to taste the great tomato sauce better, my husband and i really enjoyed it. and, it was SO easy to make.

and it was great! I used 4 boneless chops and I added some garlic, roasted red peppers, a shot of red wine vinegar and some chicken broth to the sauce to suit our taste. I put the chops back in to simmer for about 10 minutes and they were perfect & juicy! I roasted some eggplant and green & yellow peppers to go with it and it was a delicious and healthy meal. Thanks for the great idea!

I cook a lot and couldn't believe have amazing tasting this dish was which was pretty easy I felt like I was at a restaurant the only differnce is I used italian style tomotoes oh and my 2 year old and her dad could not get enough. Highly recommend even for people who dont cook much. Perfect

This looked pretty, but some of the herbs I used overpowered the sauce. I did not have Herbs de Provence so I used some dry thyme, rosemary, oregano, and parsley. My husband liked it though. I cooked the pork for longer than she said because everyone knows the longer you cook pork the more tender it gets. She cooked it way too fast for me. Unfortunately it dried out as a result of me cooking it too long. Oh, I did add a little nutmeg to the sauce (trade Italian secret). Over all, wasn't what I expected.

I was looking for a quick and simple way to prepare a pork chop - this is it... so easy, delicious & the ingredients are usually already in the pantry. The 1/4 t of red pepper flakes adds kick, so if you don't like too much heat start with smaller amount and add to please your taste. The pork was so juicy - will definitely make again.

This was a tasty recipe. I had to use boneless porkchops because my grocery didn't have any bone-in. The sauce was wonderful, although I did not have any Herbs de Province. I used Italian Seasoning, which worked well. I like red pepper flakes, so I used a bit more. I paired this with a romaine salad (romaine lettuce, green onion, kidney beans, feta cheese, s&p, crushed red pepper flakes, balsamic vinegrette) and it made a lovely dinner. My husband liked it, but didn't love it. I will still make it again.

Very Easy, good flavor combination and juicy chops (mine tend to turn out dry). To make sure the porks were tasty on their own, I added a bit of herbes de Provence directly to the chops when cooking. AND, I thinking cooking the chops in the first step to 160 degrees is too long. I cooked it to 150 degrees. The temperature raised about 5 degrees when resting and then the other 5 when sitting in the sauce.

Very easy to make. My wife said she didnt want any tomatoes on her pork when I described to her what I was going to cook, but after she saw and smelled it cooking she immediately changed her mind!(sometimes she can be like one of the kids, when it comes to new recipes)Speaking of which, our kids love it too! i didnt have herbs de provence so i used italian seasoning. Also, I used pork chops that had no bone. I dont think these things made a difference. The sauce is amazing!!!!!!!!! everyone in my family loved it! And it went terrifically with the mashed potatoes (which are also amazing). My dad said it tasted like it was from a restaurant.

My fiance and I love pork chops and a good sauce, I make them all the time, so thought I'd try something new . I took other peoples advice and added some garlic with the onions, then some red wine. I added a bit of oregano with the HD'P and simmered, adding the chops back in for a minute or two. It was...fine. That's it. I sort of thought it was a waste of some really good boneless pork chops, you don't even taste them. Perhaps I went too far with the improve, but I would save this for sausage or a hearty pasta.

I made these last night for the 2nd time and my husband loved them. (he didn't remember me making them before) He said that when I read him the recipe, he didn't think it sounded too great, but he ended up saying it was one of the best dished I have made. I made this dish with chicken tenders instead of pork chops - I also added garlic and mushrooms. It was very tasty and tender and easy to make; although it did not have enough sauce for my family's taste - I had to supplement with a jar of marinara sauce. Great basic recipe, though!

First I have to say I think many reviewers (esp. for the more popular chefs) are star struck ... or something. They give 5 stars for ANYTHING! Either that or their culinary experiences have been VERY limited. OK, this is pretty good. I mean, it's something I've had many times at buffets, family gatherings, and even back in my college dining hall. BUT, this one is a little better. Must be the fresh herbs. Just don't over cook the chops ... and LEAVE SOME PORK FAT ON THEM!!! It makes a HUGE difference in flavor.

I should have known that all of Giada's recipes are great, but I was still suprised that this turned out so good. It was really delicious with a wonderful blend of flavors. I would have never thought to serve pork chops this way. If you use well-trimmed pork chops (I think the boneless ones are often leaner) and go easy on the oil, this is really quite healthful too! I served with her Broccoli Puree, another great recipe to try.
