The whole family loved these!! 12/29/2005 at 06:27pm User: BEVERLY from Murray, KY User Rating: We made these to try out before our New Years Eve Party and they were a smash. For all ages. What a neat idea and quick. I let them cool down before putting on pastry and also did the butter on top. They went fast! Tasty! 12/29/2005 at 03:28pm User: dana from Rincon, GA User Rating: We enjoyed our mini cheeseburger puffs too. This will make a great party food. I had a small problem putting the warm hamburger patty on the puff pastery..It melted the bottom, which made it hard to transfer to cooking sheet. I also brushed butter on top of the pastery. phyllo sheets 12/25/2006 at 06:55pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Could someome recommend some good pastry sheets? I used Athens and it was dry and kept falling apart in my hands. Any tips? These have potential 12/22/2005 at 06:40pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made these for a party I went to last week, and had a few suggestions. I altered the recipe by adding chopped bacon and sauteed onions along with the cheese, and substituted kosher salt for plain because i was afraid that the burger would not have much flavor. good thing, as my hunch was correct. and they came out well and reheat well in the oven, (i would not suggest reheating in the microwave). i would make these again, except the next time i will make my burgers a little smaller, as i almost ran out of pastry dough. thanks. pretty darn good 12/19/2005 at 04:05pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I liked these little cheeseburger packs. I think the pastry needs a little butter brushed on the top to make them look as good as they taste. They would also make a nice meal for children. Great mini cheesburgers appetizers 12/17/2005 at 09:29pm User: Ann from Grand Rapids, MI User Rating: These were AWESOME! I will make these over and over again. Thanks so much I can't wait to bring these to friends houses. I made them for a thanksgiving appetizer and everyone loved them!! Thanks so much for a great recipe! Munchies 12/17/2005 at 09:41am User: Anonymous User Rating: Very delicious Neat Treat 12/10/2006 at 11:49pm User: Carol from Tupelo, MS User Rating: This was fairly simple. The only thing I would change is how they suggest seasoning the burgers. Everyone is accustomed to the taste of their own. Next time I will season them as I always do and I think this recipe will be magnificent!!! I will say that I was not able to get Paula's Silly Salt to use on these. That could make a big difference. Cutest and Tastiest Little Burgeres 12/08/2007 at 02:10am User: Leah from New Iberia, LA User Rating: These were wonderful. Here in south Texas we have a spice that we all use called "TexJoy" I substituted the seasoning but the mini puffs were INCREDIBLE!! BOTH YOUNG AND OLD LOVED THEM! Pasty Dough 12/07/2006 at 02:02pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Pasty Dough was hard to find and then it was sweet tasting. Not Good 12/05/2006 at 11:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I must have made them wrong. I used phyllo dough and they turned out terrible!! They tasted like they were wrapped in paper. The phyllo dough was dry and crumbly and I couldn't even twist them together. I am going to investigate and see If I goofed or something. The hamburgers were good inside but it was alot of work for little hamburgers. Very Tasty 12/02/2006 at 02:16pm User: Natasha from Edison, NJ User Rating: Much easier than I thought. Will make these again christmas eve 11/30/2006 at 12:57pm User: Carol from Caldwell, NJ User Rating: big hit with all espically the kids disappointing 11/28/2005 at 07:49pm User: Jeanne from Oconomowoc, WI User Rating: I followed the recipe exactly, and we were very disappointed, they were very boring and not worth eating. We have had bad luck with several of Paula's recipes, even tho we love her show. Yummm... 11/27/2006 at 10:25pm User: Nicole from Blacksburg, VA User Rating: I made a lot of changes to this recipe to suit my family's tastes, but they turned out amazingly. I added bacon, and left the onions out of the burgers and instead put caramelized onions on top with the cheese and bacon. They were so good, everyone loved them, especially the kids! Tasty! 11/27/2006 at 12:58pm User: Sherri from Bradenton, FL User Rating: They are even good as leftovers. My family loved them! Fast and Fabulous 11/26/2005 at 08:43pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Great, but simple recipe! I substituted ground turkey for the beef. Turned out great. These little tasty treats were very popular among all ages, from my mom to my 2 year old! And, other than the puff pastry, everything was already in kitchen. I think I'll do as the recipe suggests at the bottom and substitute Havarti, or some other cheese I like (maybe Gouda)the next time I make these, which will be in the very near future judging by the response to them. To die for good 11/26/2005 at 05:45pm User: Pam from Snellville, GA User Rating: I served these and as promised, they went quickly. No one expected what was inside the puffs, and once one person sampled them...it was funny to see the rush to consume.I grilled my patties on the grill. Unbelievable!!!!!!!! quick 11/26/2005 at 02:45pm User: jacki from pittsburgh, PA User Rating: a meal in minutes with common ingredients Delicious!!! 11/25/2007 at 09:08am User: Denise from Schererville, IN User Rating: This recipe is absolutely delicious! I even tried it with ground turkey instead of ground chuck, and it turned out wonderful. The seasonings combined with the onion tucked inside puff pastry makes this recipe a delight!! yum! 11/25/2006 at 07:59pm User: Alyson from Orlando, FL User Rating: loved them! I added bacon to mine and some shredded cheese blend (Italian cheeses). My kids loved them and it made 15 mini burgers. yum yum 11/22/2006 at 06:58pm User: Jessica from quail valley, CA User Rating: i am going to try this and see how is tastes loved it! 11/22/2005 at 07:48pm User: Kiera from Fort Worth, TX User Rating: What a fabulous recipe...great for a pre-holiday treat! I couldn't find pastry puffs in the store, so I used crescent rolls instead and it worked out just fine. Even my fast-food loving hubby loved them! yummy 11/20/2006 at 08:54pm User: Kelly from portland, OR User Rating: I saw this episode on tv and couldn't wait to try the recipe out myself. I have to say that the dough measurement didn't make sense for wrapping around the mini burgers, so I just squared 3"x3" sections and it covered the burgers perfectly. I also put an egg wash over the puff pastry for added browning. Family loved the mini cheesey puff burgers--Thank you jamie Deen! :) ipdbngJDSFTHb 11/20/2005 at 02:36pm User: Anonymous User Rating: fushurg[eikrhij0hthokhgpjkghpmnjinpkjnjmihkkhhhlaqanxjshb Never use regular buns again! 11/19/2007 at 09:04pm User: Reba from Douglasville, GA User Rating: This was so much fun for us to make and was such an awesome twist to a boring cheeseburger. It has a really great taste and I'll never use regular buns again! Awesome .. just Awesome 11/19/2006 at 02:55pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is a great recipe for my family, my kids love to help me make the little burgers! DELICIOUS 11/19/2006 at 12:43pm User: BEVERLY from GASTONIA, NC User Rating: GREAT RECIPE. I WILL BE USING THIS RECIPE FOR MY FAMILY OF NEICES AND NEPHEWS AND ALL THIS THANKSGIVING, WITH MY DAUGHTER'S HELP. puff pastry, not phyllo 11/18/2007 at 07:32am User: Anonymous User Rating: Reading the reviews, it seems that people used phyllo rather than puff pastry. They aren't the same. Good recipe. boring 11/18/2006 at 10:23pm User: DOVIE from searcy, AR User Rating: I THOUGHT THEY SOUNDED DELICIOUS BUT WERE ACTUALLY BLAND AND BORING. I LOVE PAULAS SHOW BUT HAVE BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH SEVERAL RECIPES. Party question 11/18/2005 at 09:08am User: Angie from Dallas, TX User Rating: Can this recipe be made up to the time the burgers are ready for the oven, frozen and reheated? Just wondering if I can make it ahead of time for a Christmas party. My guest would really love this. Thanks Just ok... 11/12/2005 at 09:37pm User: Valerie from Pine Bluff, AR User Rating: These were an interesting idea; very easy to make. My family had a hard time trying to figure out how to eat them...and there was just a little bit too much seasoning for one pound of beef. It is worth a try if you are tired of plain old hamburgers. You just pick up and eat. dipping it in your favorite sauce is okay, but you don't have to. It's great just as it is. Fantastic cheeseburgers! 08/10/2007 at 11:57pm User: Veronica from Mt. Vernon, IL User Rating: This recipe was so easy and very tasty! No alterations needed. So good, I could eat it every day 07/31/2007 at 03:30pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I subsituted with turkey meat and it was delicious!!!! I had people hovering around the oven for it to come out!! Great snack and appetizer Great mini chesseburger puffs 05/09/2006 at 09:56pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy to make and were a big hit! A GREAT CROWED PLEASER 05/01/2007 at 10:00am User: Trina from Roseburg, OR User Rating: Very easy to make and everyone loves them. Kids especialy love them where they are small enough for little hands to get around. I will countinue to make these at all my parties! Super easy 02/27/2006 at 05:01pm User: AMANDA from Lake Charles, LA User Rating: These little pocket burgers are super easy to make and you can really make them anyway you like them. An alternative we tried was cutting filet mignon into small bites and cooking them as we would a steak, but on the stove. Throw in your favorite cheese slice and they are fantastic! confused 01/30/2007 at 04:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I think people that gave this a poor rating are confused about puff pastry and phyllo dough. They are completely different! The recipe calls for puff pastry! This is very good if the right ingredients are used! Fun appetizer! 01/29/2007 at 11:57am User: V from Balsam Lake, WI User Rating: These were so easy to make. I used Famous Dave's Steak rub for seasoning. I couldn't find the pepper boursin cheese so tried onion & chive boursin and added coarse ground pepper to the cheese. The crowd loved them! Had a couple left over and tried microwaving them...unh, unh...doesn't work. I reheated in oven and they were almost good as fresh. Will definitely make these again. Pastry 01/28/2007 at 09:25am User: Anonymous User Rating: Definitely need to use puff pastry rather than phyllo. Mkes all the difference! Too Sweet 01/21/2007 at 04:17pm User: Cindy from Tempe, AZ User Rating: I tried this recipe using Pepperridge Farm pastry puff and it was not a big hit. People were taking off the pastry puff and just eating the inside; the pastry puff was way to sweet. I altered the recipe a little bit by adding mushroom and bacon to my hamburger mix. This is not a recipe I would make again. Wonderful 01/17/2007 at 11:59am User: KESHA from chicago, IL User Rating: This was simply delicious. I used ground turkey instead of ground beef, and grilled onions, and bell peppers and added it in the burger. This is a keeper. Thanks Paula, you have done it again.
