Possibly the best salad I ever had 12/29/2006 at 02:54pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this two years ago for Thanksgiving instead of stuffing. To me this is a more sophisticated option and I personally can't stand the pasty globby consistency of stuffing. Everyone really enjoyed it and I've been making it ever since. Great salad 12/07/2005 at 03:00pm User: MARLENE from Menomonee Falls, WI User Rating: The salad took a little prep time; but, was well worth it. I used spinich leaves and will use more spinich greens and less cubes next time. A rustic Italian bread cubed, seasoned and toasted worked out best. We loved it! 11/27/2005 at 08:21pm User: Josie from Philadelphia, PA User Rating: I made the salad for Thanksgiving and everyone LOVED it! The dressing is simple and tasty, and the warm mushroom made it just perfect! Thanks for this nice recipe! fantastic! 11/22/2006 at 04:23pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this last year for Thanksgiving. It was the first thing requested this year (and I don't even like mushrooms)! Flavorful and Fantastic! 11/22/2005 at 06:03pm User: SOPHIA from Eastman, GA User Rating: I could not believe how good this salad turned out to be! The warm mushroom mixture and warm dressing over the greens warmed and wilted them slightly, which added such a wonderful quality to the salad! I also added some grilled chicken breast strips to make this a complete meal! I like the taste of thyme, so I added a little to the dressing to "perk it up". It was truly fantastic! This recipe is definitely a keeper! knock your socks off 11/19/2007 at 01:44pm User: Anonymous User Rating: to steal from rachel raye - yummo - could not be better. a great salad and a great change from your regular green salad. thanks Micael Chiarello even better with tweaking 11/11/2007 at 05:15pm User: Kim from Bridgewater, MA User Rating: I added cayenne pepper to the bread cubes before baking. Gave it a great bite. I substitued a balsalmic V instead of the onion dressing. AMAZING!!!! 04/16/2007 at 11:42pm User: Heather from Peoria, AZ User Rating: This "salad" was hands down the best I have EVER tasted. Although it was easy to make it is alot of work and time consuming (totally worth it), so keep that in mind when you pair it up with dishes. I made this & a white lasagna & was in the kitchen for 3 & 1/2 hours. I followed the recipe to the T and wouldnt make any changes. This will definitally be a recipe I use again & again!!! The left overs are even good! Yummmm 01/08/2006 at 10:50am User: Anonymous User Rating: Added a great flavor and color for both the Thanksgiving and Christmas table. Was a big hit! |
