I've been hanging out in gourmet coffee shops for years and this is hands down the best coffee drink I have ever had...unbelievable. I made it Christmas morning for my family and we all thought we had died and gone to heaven. The fresh orange taste combined with cinnamon sticks, cloves, chocolate, strong brewed coffee, and home-made whipped cream -- amazing. I drank FOUR cups and then made more. I will make more for New Year's day and it will without question become a tradition in our house...my niece wants us to have it daily -- but my goodness...we'd all gain 100 pounds! It's outstanding. Thank you, Emeril. It just goes to show that what an old friend told me years ago is true...there is NOTHING I can get in a fabulous restaurant (or coffee house) that I can't make 1,000 times better at home, given the right recipe.

Use the exact ingredients!!!!

I totally messed up with this recipe so I'm sure I didn't get the flavor that I should have. I didn't find the unsweetened cocoa powder and desperate to make this I settled for hot chocolate mix!!!! And not just that but I forgot to NOT add the amount of sugar it called for because the mix already has sugar! The result was a very very sweet rich chocolate-y drink that gave me a stomach ache. Will try with the right chocolate next time.

Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a wonderful recipe and so easy to make! I made this with brown sugar bacon (also on this site AND amazing as well) and home made croissants.Plan on one recipe serving 4-6 ( I made half a recipe for 3 people and I wanted more). My sister, who recently returned from Italy, says that it beat the coffee she had there. If you're looking for a great recipe, make this!
