Instead of using the sugar syrup, I leave out the sugar and water entirely and use sweetened condensed milk instead. Just add the sweeteed condensed milk to taste. It's much easier and tastes just as good! A great recipe worth trying.

I'm a fan of no frills, cafe con latte, but this is great for a special breakfast or after meal dessert. The only change I made was adding "coffee cubes" or brewed coffee poured into an ice trey and frozen. The cubes start melting, and just add to the drink instead of diluting it!

Yummy, Yummy

This is a great recipe. I love a good iced coffee drink, and this one is one of my favorites. I won't even buy flavored syrup's anymore. I just add vanilla or almond extract to the simple syrup for my own spin on flavored syrup's. Also try kahula instead of the almond liqour.

That's why they say when they drink this! Made my very first batch on Easter & the requests never stop! I tweaked the recipe a bit. First off, the melted sugar addition, really not necessary. I'm telling you, the amaretto liqueur is really sweet! I also used hazel nut. A true crowd pleaser!

The BEST ever!

Loved this drink and I'm a tough one to please when it comes to coffee! I drink this almost daily...minus the amaretto of course! Try it with some vanilla syrup! YUM!

love the blended flavors- I didn't quite follow the directions exactly. I combined all the componets together in the blender then served, it was great!

didn't have amaretto. Used almond roca syrup (for iced coffee). Fantastic! Can't wait to make it with the real thing! This drink is beatutiful as well as incredibly tasty.

Try it with tea!

We're not espresso drinkers, and we only keep coffee in the house for when my parents and sibs visit from Canada. I tried it with caramel-flavored coffee (brewed really strong) and it rocked. I tried it with tea (steeped with twice the number of bags as usual) and it was even more awesome. To make it more Thai Iced Tea-like, add a heaping spoonful of instant Chai tea mix (homemade), crush it slightly in the blender... It is sooo good. I do omit the amaretto so that our three-year old can enjoy as well. Thanks for sharing, Giada!
