I've made it at least 5 times in the last couple of weeks. I highly recommend it! Delicious! 07/07/2006 at 09:50pm User: Carl from Apple Valley, CA User Rating: We had your dessert over coffee ice cream with whipped cream on top! Everyone loved it! Wonderful and Easy! 04/23/2007 at 08:48am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was a very good recipe -- something I could easily thow together with ingredients that I normally have on hand anyway. Very good!!! Great on waffles to 04/08/2006 at 03:03pm User: tristen from San Diego, CA User Rating: Very good & easy to do. With the ice cream very very rich, but great. The apples are also good on waffles without the ice cream, but you could make a waffle ice cram sunday. Good 03/24/2006 at 05:25pm User: Katie from Robbinsdale, MN User Rating: I have made this a couple of times already, would be good with other types of apples too. Fantastic!!!!1 03/14/2006 at 06:58pm User: Daniel from sacramento, CA User Rating: I loved it, and my flatmates raved. It was a bit of pain. The shop didn't have that dulce de leche, so I had to use vanilla. Only, the mix could have used a bit more time to cool off, as it were, it started melting the ice creme. Got a bit soupy there toward the end. perfect 03/13/2006 at 01:25pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Absolutely delicious. Thanks Rachael. Sad how bitter some of you are. If only everyone could have a brain to come up w/ recipes that taste great, get endorsed by Oprah and the Today Show.... jealousy is such a tough thing to deal with. There's help out there guys! Rachael - your meals are fantastic. disappointed 03/09/2006 at 02:33am User: Anonymous User Rating: Sorry, but we made this for dessert and it came out kind of gross to be perfectly honest. I really would not recommend doing this at all. YUMMMMMMMO 03/08/2006 at 11:02am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was great, Rachael. I didn't have all of the ingredients and couldn't go to the store (license suspended), so I had to leave out the apples, lemon, sugar, spices and butter. I just ate the dulce de leche out of the container and washed it down with the rum - YUMMMO! wonderful 03/06/2006 at 10:42am User: lisa from romeoville, IL User Rating: This dessert was fantastic. My local store didnt have the Dulce de Leche Ice Cream so I used vanilla instead. It was still great. Once I served the kids, I added Rum(I think a bit much). It was a big hit with the whole party. Thanks Rachel. I will definitly make again!!! SOOO YUMMY!!! 03/05/2006 at 10:31am User: Maureen from Stamford, CT User Rating: Had all the ingredients on hand for this after seeing Rachael make this. I had unexpected company last night and whipped this up in minutes. Everyone LOVED it. I couldn't believe how easy it was. Keep up the good work Rachael. yummy 03/03/2006 at 06:56pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Thank you so much for another "recipe" on how to jazz up ice cream. Yummy! Wonderfully easy and delicious 02/27/2006 at 11:26am User: REVLYNN from Los Angeles, CA User Rating: Quick, easy and extremely tasty. What more can you ask for in a recipe??? This one is definitely a keeper. Yummy 01/17/2007 at 01:13pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe is easy, quick and delicious! It's like having warm apple pie wihtout all the work! Hot apples and caramel - YUM! 01/17/2007 at 10:32am User: Arnie from New York, NY User Rating: I love this recipe! It's totally easy and the flavors are great together. Restaurant Quality Desert 01/14/2007 at 07:03pm User: Alma from Hayward, CA User Rating: Very easy to prepare dessert. Tastes as good as any restaurant dessert for which you'd pay quite a bit. I used Breyers Light 1/2 the fat Carmel Tracks ice cream since Rachael mentioned dulce de leche was basically carmel ice cream. Very good dessert following the veal meatball and broccoli rabe stoup!! Thanks Rachael!! A smaller lemon may be better... 01/13/2007 at 06:14pm User: Marisol from Bronx, NY User Rating: The recipe calls for 1/2 squeezed lemon. Be careful, I used a large lemon and the taste overwhelmed the other ingredients. Sour apples and Dulce Leche does not taste very good. The recipe should call for a medium sized lemon. yummy 01/08/2008 at 02:27am User: Anonymous User Rating: the very first time i made it, my family loved it! it was awesome |
