Spicy Sausage in Carrozza 10/09/2006 at 07:28pm User: Anthony from Burlington, NC User Rating: I wish I would have caught the episode this came from... because when I did it just by the recipe, it came out so-so. I really liked the mustard/garlic mix, it was offbeat... so it was hard to get my family to try it. I used fresh made pizza dough for the wrapping the sausage.. I'm not sure if it that makes a difference though >_< YUM~ 08/22/2006 at 04:58pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe can also be used with sweet italian sausage and a blend of honey and regular mustard with garlic. It was delicious but very hard to keep pizza dough on the sausage after it had been sauteed in EVOO. Blackjack 07/23/2007 at 10:55am User: Black from Washington, DC User Rating: Very good Surprisingly good. 07/03/2006 at 07:37am User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy and delicious! Fabulous! 05/03/2006 at 07:05pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for dinner and served it with Bavarian sauerkraut. My husband and I both loved it! Yummy sausage 04/11/2006 at 04:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I used this as an appetizer by using crescent rolls instead of pizza dough and cutting them in thirds for finger food. Everyone loved them. Easy to make Fast, fun & full of flavor 04/09/2008 at 08:50am User: Anonymous User Rating: My family enjoyed this meal. I customized each sausage roll to meet the tastes of my husband and kids. No garlic in one, for example. For the vegetarian, carmelized onion, roasted red pepper and cheese rolled into the pizza dough. Everyone was happy. I suggest getting the dough from your local pizza parlor -- it's very fresh that way. Michael Chiarello's recipes always please us. And poaching the sausages is a great way to get rid of some of the grease / fat. ok 04/03/2006 at 04:36pm User: Anonymous User Rating: looked good Kick! 04/02/2006 at 03:16pm User: Tabitha from Corona, CA User Rating: Wow, what a hit this was at my Appetizer Dinner party! The only difference in my recipe was I used a spicy turkey sausage to keep it healty, and I also made a second mixture with reg. yellow mustard and still had the choice of the Dijon mustard. Spicy and very satisfying. This is a keeper for sure!
