GOOD? 06/28/2008 at 09:27pm User: Salina from Buford, GA User Rating: GOOD? Great for a group 05/03/2008 at 04:41pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I cooked this recipe twice. The first time was not good, but the second time it turned out great with a few personalized touches. My only complaint is that it doesn't keep well at all, so you really need to serve it all in one sitting. Also, I recommend adding sauteed onions over raw. Just ok.. 04/15/2008 at 10:37am User: Laura from Little Rock, AR User Rating: This was a little bland to me. If you are looking to use up extra zucchini, Ina Garten has a GREAT zucchini gratin recipe! Fantastic Zucchini Recipe 04/07/2008 at 04:04pm User: Doris from Las Vegas, NV User Rating: Paula Dean seems to find such good recipes for fresh vegetables. Being a zucchini lover I was anxious to try this one and I was not disappointed. It was even good a day or two later. I didn't even have to nuke it, it was delicious cold. I told a couple friends about it and have given them copies so they could also try it. Thumbs up on this one, Paula! Zucchini-lovers should eat this!!! 04/01/2008 at 10:16pm User: Kathleen from Long Beach, CA User Rating: This was a fantastic recipe - if you love zucchini, this is for you. I cooked the onion along with the zucchini so it would be tender and not so strong. This recipe is a lot like Barefoot Contessa zucchini gratin except for the eggs. Both recipes are excellent. I plan to make this many times in the future including for parties. Yum! Great side 03/26/2008 at 03:24pm User: JAMIE from Baltimore, MD User Rating: I made this as a side for Easter and everyone loved it. Very easy to make, very yummy to eat! i love it!! 03/25/2008 at 05:54pm User: beth from lexington, KY User Rating: i am not a big fan of zucchini, but this is awesome!!! WOW....excellent recipe 03/24/2008 at 03:57pm User: JOHN from Houston, TX User Rating: This recipe is REALLY good....as Paula always says...try the recipe like it's written...then make it your own... I added more onion, more parmesan, was a little heavy handed on the Worcestershire and Pepper Sauce and I also recommend a little garlic mixed in and a little smokey paprika on top POSITIVELY SCRUMPTIOUS 03/23/2008 at 02:30pm User: Judith from Middletown, OH User Rating: We made this for Easter dinner today, and it was AMAZING... my husband (zucchini is not high on his list of veggies) ABSOLUTELY LOVED this zucchini bake... he said this recipe is a keeper and it was EASY to make. Thank you for sharing Paula! Judy Middletown, OH Lucious Looking Zucchini!! 03/22/2008 at 05:10pm User: Cynthia from Liberty Twp.,Butler Cnty, OH User Rating: I caught part of the show, only because I was unpacking...it looked easy to prepare but the final product looks very gourmet...Happy Easter to you Paula, Michael, and the Boys and families...ckmchildadvocate@aol.com Loved it! 03/17/2008 at 04:39pm User: Lisa from Revere, MA User Rating: This recipe not only smelled great when it came out of the oven but it tasted great too! The zucchini loaded it with flavor. Zucchini Lover 03/16/2008 at 02:39pm User: Jean from Cantonment, FL User Rating: I thoroughly loved this recipe.. as I enjoy fresh veggies and eggs.. I will most definately use this one again. thanks, Paula, you're the best Not Paula's Best 11/23/2007 at 07:25pm User: Helen from Oceanside, CA User Rating: This dish is alright. Not great, just alright. It looked better than it tasted. Love it, LOVE it, LOVE IT!!! 08/09/2007 at 09:42pm User: Marcie from North Scituate, RI User Rating: Just the best! I was surprised how quiche-like it tastes! The bread crumbs make a little crust! I make this recipe with Gluten Free bread crumbs and it comes out just perfect. Bland....needs something 07/16/2007 at 08:45am User: Patricia from Meadville, PA User Rating: Sorry Paula, and all others who seemed to really like this dish, but I made it, faithfully following the recipe, and it was quite bland and unexciting. I think it needs more flavor, maybe using some bacon or smoked ham, and some herbs like thyme. I'll probably make it again, because it has possibilities, but will tweak it some. Out of this world! 07/14/2007 at 11:39pm User: Mandy from Hampton, VA User Rating: I usually end up giving away most of our garden zucchini because I get so tired of only having one way to fix it (fried). This little gem is going to become a summer staple! Such a unique flavor, and it tastes even better with a dollop of sour cream on top. Many thanks, Ms. Deen... Great! 06/23/2007 at 05:28pm User: ANDREA from Pearland, TX User Rating: This was incredibly easy. I took it to a pot luck the first time I made it and got rave reviews! Yum! 05/25/2007 at 08:25am User: Anonymous User Rating: Really, really good. And a different way to eat zucchini! Best side dish ever 05/23/2007 at 03:44pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for Easter Sunday and three times since. My husband said it was his best side ever. I know that I will hold on to this recipe. Delicious 05/12/2007 at 08:55am User: Linda from Blairsville, GA User Rating: I served this dish at Easter. One of our guests didn't eat zuchinni, but went back for seconds. Easy, EASY to prepare and most impressive when on your buffet or dinner table! I'm serving it for Mother's Day and also using summer squash for more color. willow496 05/10/2007 at 06:09pm User: Carol from Brandon, FL User Rating: Delicious "can't stop eating it" recipe. Since my boyfriend and I are on diets, (and his cholesterol is high) I lightened the recipe by: using only 1 tbs of light margarine to cook zucchini, 2 egg yolks + equivalent whites to equal 3 eggs (3/4 cup) and fat free 1/2 & 1/2 for the evap. milk or light cream. I also cook the chopped onion with the zucchini to be sure it is tender. The recipe does not suffer at all with the changes! * * * * * Five Extra Stars from me! 04/16/2007 at 04:58pm User: Michael from Fairfield, CA User Rating: Paula you always hit a home run with your recipes, BUT this one was "out of the park" ... Excellent dish and VERY tasty ... I just took another 'custard' out of the oven that I made today with Asparagus, and it's equally delicious. every good 04/09/2007 at 09:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: it is every good This receipe was easy and very good 04/09/2007 at 05:53pm User: Marilynn from Canyon Country, CA User Rating: I really liked this receipe. I microwaved the zuccini with butter and Paula's seasoning in the dish I was serving it in, then drained the juices before putting in the custard part, and used onion powder instead of instant onions. Turned out great. Actually I am making a half batch tonight. Thanks again Paula Easy to bake, nice taste 04/09/2007 at 01:23am User: Anonymous User Rating: I tried it for Easter Lunch. It was very tasty, but the zucchini drained a lot of water, so for next time, I would put less evaporeted milk. Wonderful custard bake 04/08/2007 at 01:34pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was excellant. It needs 10 stars. It was easy and absolutely delicious. it looks good 04/07/2007 at 11:09am User: Anonymous User Rating: she's a great cook Extremely easy and versitile 04/05/2007 at 11:39am User: jessica from gosport, IN User Rating: When Paula made this recipe on her show I envisioned the possibilities in cooking it. We don't do zucchini very often. So I made two using asparagus - one with ham and the other with bacon. Both tasted great and the recipe was so simple I couldn't believe it. I'm looking forward to trying other veggies in this recipe. Thank you Paula for coming up with extremely easy and tasty recipes. Excellent 04/04/2007 at 07:55pm User: Richard D. from Tiverton, RI User Rating: Easy preparation, very tasty, colorful GREAT 04/04/2007 at 04:17pm User: DOLORES from TUCKAHOE, NY User Rating: LOVE THIS RECIPE - I CHANGED 1 ITEM - THE ZUCCHINI AND PUT IN BROCCOLI. A new family favorite 01/25/2007 at 05:26pm User: Sue from Des Plaines, IL User Rating: I made this for a family gathering and should have made two. The dish was clean enough to put away without washing. It's been requested several times since that dinner. Thanks. not quite quiche zucchini 01/08/2007 at 07:37pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was extrememly easy to make, as are most of Paula's recipes. Good texture and taste. Wouldn't change a thing. New life to zucchini 10/05/2006 at 05:30pm User: Chastity from Longmont, CO User Rating: After making everything I could think of using the zucchini that overgrew my garden, I looked this recipe up on the website and gave it a try. Loved it! I have decreased the salt and have tried using other veggies like red peppers and corn to add texture. This is an excellent base for any veggie recipe. Great Zucchini 06/03/2006 at 06:00pm User: LORI from Fremont, CA User Rating: Made this for Easter at my parent's house; it was easy to make and was enjoyed by everyone. Will make again. Thanks Paula. Paula's Zukes 05/22/2006 at 04:06pm User: TED from Washinton dc, DC User Rating: Easy to make, tastes good really loved it! 05/13/2006 at 03:53pm User: Yvonne from Manassas, VA User Rating: I cooked the zucchini with olive oil instead of butter, it still tasted great to me! Four stars with a little recipe tweaking 05/09/2006 at 09:35pm User: TAMMY from Brush Prairie, WA User Rating: I have made this twice. The first time, I made as directed. The second time I made some minor changes. The first time just didn't seem like "custard," and the onions were too strong. So, the second time I change the onion amount to 1/3 cup, and added them to the zucchini while cooking. Also, I shredded/grated the zucchini and only cooked for several minutes. The result was much better, and certainly worthy of making again. OVER THE TOP 05/09/2006 at 06:54pm User: Cathy from Mechanicsville, VA User Rating: Oh my goodness Paula has done it again - my family LOVED this recipe. A Welcome Change 04/22/2006 at 11:19am User: Carolyn from Dunnellon, FL User Rating: My husband liked the dish but I would add a little extra zucchini or yellow squash and I would like it a little less soft when cooking the squash. Great flavor! Love Paula's show! yummy 04/19/2006 at 05:53am User: Jill from Macon, GA User Rating: This a good recipe for hiding your veggies for a picky eater. New Easter Vegetable now. 04/17/2006 at 11:09am User: Judith from Hudson, FL User Rating: This was very simple and it was just delicious. I was a little scepticle of the idea of canned milk in my recipe, but it was just great, and my family loved it. Definately a winning recipe. Not my favorite 04/17/2006 at 07:56am User: KRISTEN from casselberry, FL User Rating: I love zucchini. I actually liked this recipe but my family did not comment on it at Easter dinner. In Laws barely tasted it. I think it isnt worth all the extra fat and calories as opposed to fresh steamed zucchini although it was good it just did not go over well with anyone else. Not Impressive 04/11/2006 at 05:37pm User: Katherine from Seymour, TN User Rating: Well...it wasn't great. Would've preferred the squash just sauteed with a bit of butter and herbs. The texture of this was a bit mealy for my tastes. Zucchini Bake 04/09/2006 at 09:48pm User: Suzanne from Laguna Niguel, CA User Rating: This was simple to make and very tasty!
